   Pretty expensive. BUT the food was immaculate. Wagyu Steak, steak and eggs breakfast, and the “lil brgs” were delicious! The Mac and cheese was pretty good too. Great DJ, nice atmosphere. Wait staff was awesome, down to the host.

   Small selection. Overcooked and improperly seasoned food. The place looks and feels nice. It’s very overpriced for the food quality. If your looking for a spot to eat with limited time in town, look elsewhere.

   Thought the pricing was way out of line. Sunday brunch hour was a bit noisy with live DJ. Service was good. Wouldn't go back.

    We weren’t seated till 45 min after our reservation but the manager gave us a round of champagne as an apology. Food was very slow to come out but tasty

    This is my 2nd time having brunch here and I was thoroughly impressed. My wife, her best friend, and I had an amazing time here. The food was delicious as always and the bottomless mimosas are the way to go!

    Food was good, ordered the ribeye and halibut fish and chips along with asparagus. Service was great. They have a DJ so music was loud and hard to hear my significant other in general conversation. The decorations were pretty. Large parties enjoying themselves and having a great time but also added to difficulty carrying on a conversation.

    Nice atmosphere, DJ, not too loud, able to carry a conversation. Small plates were dirty. Our food was not good at all! Food was horrible and very expensive !!!! I won’t be returning to this San Diego location.

    Food was just ehh nothing great or good. Ordered steak medium rare and got it medium well. For the price point, i atleast good to be good/great in flavor. Disappointed in all the dish ordered except for calamari and French toast.

    Music was way too loud, wine tasted like when I try an opened bottle of wine in the fridge after three weeks, they brought me the wrong type of meat but since I was so hungry I just ate it. However, the quality of the food is what saves this place. The meat was cooked rare perfectly, side dishes were excellent, and dessert was good too.

    I had a great time at STK San Diego. I'm a regular at STK San Juan and the vibes were definitely there. Our server Evan and busser Matt were outstanding. Phenomenal service from both of them and handed us great recommendations for San Diego activities. The shot show energy was on fire!! Would definitely be back when in San Diego!

    My husband and I had dinner here on a Saturday night. We love steakhouses and visit them weekly so we’re excited for STK during our trip to San Diego. We were less than impressed from the start. The hostess was not inviting and stood at her stand with a sour look on her face. She avoided eye contact for most of our interaction. There were also 4-5 employees at the hostess stand for as long as we waited there. I’m not sure what they were doing. The restaurant was crowded and loud. Truthfully, I think that is the vibe this place goes for. It felt like a nightclub that serves food. If that’s what you like and you don’t mind yelling at the person sitting across from you at the table, you’ll love it. However, my husband and I were annoyed and wanted to get our dinner over with as quickly as possible. The server made it hard to do that. He took our drink order and then we felt ignored for the rest of the night. For example, it took over 30 min from the time our appetizers were finished for him to come to the table, clear it, and then take our entree order. The food was fantastic. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The asparagus was just to my liking. I bet we would have been more tolerant of this place had we been in our 20s. Despite the food being great, the nightclub atmosphere was a turn off and the restaurant felt trashy. All the staff seemed busy and overworked. The servers felt like they were all entry level, with no fine dining experience. We will not be back.

    We came here on a busy Saturday night we had a reservation for 830 pm. My only issue is the initial hostess told us to wait by the bar and someone would come grab us shortly to seat us. Well of course luckily the atmosphere is very Club like and vibe is fun so we enjoyed a cocktail before we were seated. We noticed it was 15/20 mins and that’s sort of long for a group of 4 who has a reservation. My husband went to ask what was taking so long and the new hostess was under the impression that we were already seated. She apologized and corrected the issue. The food was amazing and the waiters were excellent. We had the Chilean sea bass and filet. Short ribs and the organic chicken. The Brussels sprouts. The truffle fries. And max and cheese. And sesame oysters. All delicious and prepared excellent.

    Water glasses were not clean and neither were the bread plates on the table. Not what we expected in upscale dining. Very trendy, and much noisier than we anticipated. My steak was cooked perfectly, but calamari was overcooked. Wait staff was just ok, not the level of service you would expect when paying $100+/person. We would have preferred someplace different. Good for getting together for a girls night or a bachelor/bachelorette party, not for a date night if you want something quiet/romantic, etc.

    We were traveling on business in SD and it was our 25th anniversary weekend. We wanted to treat ourselves to an SDK dinner. We told our server as well and he also congratulated. But that was it. All around us there were birthday sparklers, which seems to be a bigger deal at SDK then a 25th anniversary. My cosmo was mostly juice. Our food was awesome.

    The waiters and waitresses were very nice, but we had a table reserved for 7 at 1pm, and it was not super busy at the time. It took almost 45 min to get our food after we ordered, then when the food was brought we still didn’t have utensils, they forgot a requested drink refills.

    Reuben was our server. Service was fast and attentive. Food was delicious. There was a DJ and it was loud, but the ambiance was good and it felt right. The dry-aged Delmonico ribeye was among the best steaks I’ve ever had.

    The restaurant appeared understaffed. As a result, mistakes were made: minor errors on one dinner. Appetizers were very good, steaks were delivered warm, not hot, sides were good, but the most significant problem was that one meal was entirely forgotten and needed to be brought to the server’s attention (she didnt notice) after which it still took 20-30 minutes to resolve (not an exaggeration). Everyone else was completely finished with their meals before the final dinner order was delivered. No offers were made to soften the situation. Service was only ‘OK’, but prices were very high for this level of service. Very loud inside, which may have contributed to the accuracy of the orders, but not to only serve 6 of the 7 meals.

    STK is a very nice restaurant. The ambiance draws you in as you enjoy a high-end dining experience. The staff executed perfectly. The Tomahawk steak i had was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The lobster was fresh. For sides, the mushrooms, brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, and the truffle fries were perfect compliments. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Came back around for the second time brought my cousin for his birthday. So they tried seating us at the smallest table possible were you can even fit one plate and eat comfortably so I requested for the manager because I wanted a better way of enjoying a dinner event with my cousin for his birthday so they moved us tables that was slightly bit more roomy due to the bench seats they did not want us to seat us at a 4 chair dinner table due to occupancy and they were not even that busy but what's the whole point of making a reservation prior to arrival ? Second thing is our waitress Raphael was rude I had to ask him to bring out bread which was embarrassing and he only brought out one bread for the both of us and he was in a rush to get us out to leave the restaurant I will never return back to this restaurant !! It's sad to say because we had a great experience with Samantha the first time !! And also they did not accommodate any type of dessert for my cousin birthday although I would have paid for the dessert but not even offer or a simple happy birthday to him the reservations I made was specific for his birthday !! Raphael made us feel unwanted and rushed not a good feeling !!

    Wow... the food was delicious! The drinks and ambiance can't be matched. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Our server Matthew was amazing! Javier's was our favorite place to go out and eat but STK has taken that number 1 spot!
