Setting and ambiance were great. Food was delicious- friends and I shared the pimento cheese, one friend and I both had steak frites and the other had short ribs. We also had a couple of desserts- banana pudding creme brûlée and a seasonal flourless chocolate torte with peppermint. Unfortunately the service was pretty lacking. Took a good ten plus minutes before we were greeted and able to order drinks. My friend ordered hot tea and was brought hot water and a cup, no lemon or honey or anything, then took another ten minutes before she got tea bags. My other friend ordered the same drink as me and got something different. I ordered a glass of wine to go with my steak and didn’t get it until I was halfway through. Checks were completely wrong but we wound up just paying them as is rather than asking for corrections. Server never really was friendly or helpful. I waited tables for years so I understand how it can get sometimes, especially around the holidays, but it didn’t seem particularly busy apart from a party in the private room. I will come back though, there were so many things I wanted to try and the brunch looks great too.
First time and will return. Great food, a little loud, but worth it.
We always enjoy our meals at Stella's. The food and service are excellent.
Unimpressed. The food had potential but was generally over-cooked, the burgers burnt. We’ll go back to Stella’s in Simpsonville going forward.
Always a favorite
Love Stella's! Continues to be one of our favorite brunch spots. The only thing that took us by a surprise was the price increase, at least for the Crab Cake sandwich. We have been to Stella's around a dozen times and we noticed a several dollar price increase to our meal (we believe $14 to $17)
Excellent food and service. Great farm to table menu.
Well worth your time to eat here and enjoy great adaptations to southern food.
This is the 2nd time we have dined here in the last month; first time was for breakfast and this time was for lunch. The food is AMAZING and the service is STELLAR! I can’t wait to reserve a spot for dinner in the very near future.
Hands down, my favorite restaurant in Greenville. Menu changes regularly so it’s always interesting. Love it!
I went to Stella’s on Sunday for a brunch, the food was good but sometimes the description isn’t exactly like the food served
Great atmosphere for catching up with old friends
Five of us had dinner on Saturday night, each with a different choice, but everyone was highly pleased with their selection. I had mussels and frites that were truly excellent. It's minimally decorated, but pleasant--lighting and noise levels were perfect and allowed for easy conversation. Stella's is a bit off the beaten path, but it was well worth driving there from downtown Greenville.
Food was fabulous! Service outstanding!
Continues to be one of the best restaurants in Greenville! Highly recommend for brunch, lunch or dinner!
Still as good as ever
Shrimp and grits were spectacular and Tina, our server, made our evening very memorable. Excellent service!!
Enjoyed it. The food was tasty. It is not inexpensive, but it is interesting to know where all the food comes from (as listed on the menu).
Awesome staff! Great service. Updated menu. Owners are terrific. Always a fantastic experience!
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend for all occasions.
Excellent service. Overall the food was good. Sweet potatoes were great.
We went for a much-needed date night and let the server know we wanted to take our time. He did a great job spacing out our courses so we had a nice leisurely meal. The food was delicious...we especially loved the fried okra, the mushroom side dish, and the salted butterscotch pot de creme. My husband ate the butchers plate for his main course! The atmosphere was nice and we loved taking a little walk through the neighborhood afterward. Legacy Park is also right next door for a nice walk after dinner.
Food was very good - very tasty & fresh. Restaurant is somewhat noisy. It was our daughters birthday & the waitress made mention of it but no little extra for her. :-( Might not be the most kid friendly restaurant we've been to. But food was very good.
Loved everything ...have been a few times. Burger, salads, drinks all top shelf. Parking beside and across street, reservation suggested. The staff was helpful the menu is limited but great choices.
This was our second time dining at Stella's. I strongly recommend the "fried rice" appetizer and whatever the fish special is of the evening. Both times it has been excellent. I also think their wine list is well chosen, and the service is very good. If it gets busy it can be a little noisy so we usually go early. And do save room for dessert!
Great modern-but-classic decor and vibe. Super friendly staff that was more than happy to give suggestions and details of the food. We tried the shareable platter of various meats, cheeses, pickled vegetables and peppers. It was a bit of an adventure, but plenty delicious. I highly recommend the beet salad! And our server (Hope, who was awesome) topped it all of with some prosecco and dessert treats because it was our anniversary.
I am new to the Greenville/Simpsonville area. An out-of-town friend had come for a business meeting and we wanted to have a nice meal together and catch-up on each other's lives. After researching restaurants located near her hotel, we decided on Stella's Southern Brasserie based on menu choices and reviews. We were extremely pleased with our choice! Stella's Southern Brasserie is located in a very quaint and upscale neighborhood, just across from a lovely park. The food was amazing and the service was also very good! I would definitely return to and recommend this restaurant.
Great... food was good, service was pleasant
We live in the neighborhood and are so pleased to have a restaurant within walking distance. It's a great place to meet friends for a drink or coffee or for the Salad Nicoise when it's on the menu (should be a regular menu item - excellent). We had dinner with friends on Wednesday night. Two of the guests ordered the Squash Soup and both said it was extremely bland (I tasted it and would have to agree). One guest had the grilled Rockfish special and she said she wouldn't order again - no flavor. My husband ordered the Salad Lyonnaise, in addition to the Squash Soup, and would order the Salad again. Our other guest ordered the Ribeye Steak and enjoyed it - cooked perfectly. I ordered the Steak Frites and it was cooked perfectly, a bit salty (the herbed butter that topped it); it comes with okay fries and a very nice green salad with a light, flavorful dressing. Our guests ordered the Hazelnut Tart, which they liked; we ordered the Salted Butterscotch Pots de Creme and it was outstanding. All in all, a lovely evening with friends.
Great place, the service was exceptional and the Farm to Table concept allows the chef to be creative and delivers fresh quality food. Relaxing atmosphere allows for good conversation at the table.
I would love to keep this place a secret. The food is great and service is top notch.
Stella's never disappoints. Love both locations and I am always happy with the service and the food.
Visit was for a 6 person business discussion. Service, Hope was incredible as usual!, and the meal were excellent! Great place for a productive business lunch!
I came to Stella's with a friend for lunch. The service was excellent--fast and very personal--and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the ambience as well and will come back soon.
The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable, the wait staff always very attentive and friendly. I love that it has outdoor dining so I can bring my dogs. But the food is mediocre at best...you won't starve but don't expect anything out of the ordinary
Met with old friends for Brunch! Was hoping to be able to sit outside to talk but it was a rainy and cold day. To my surprise sitting inside was just fine! The ambiance was cute and welcoming and the noise level was perfect for conversation catching up!! The wait staff was a delight. We never felt rushed and they were attentive. The food was very good as I had hoped! I would not hesitate to go back!! We had a very pleasant brunch!!
Staff, food, and drinks are always the best.
Service was excellent as usual. They make everyone feel important.
It took forever for the food to get to us. The food was good but the price was too high. The atmosphere was loud but it's a trendy place and so it was enjoyable. Our waiter was great - actually, the best part of the evening. I won't be going back any time soon and I don't know that I will recommend it to friends.
We love Stella’s - great food and service
