Stella's Southern Brasserie - Greenville
Stella's was busy last night and quite noisy, but the food was excellent (I had a mushroom bisque to start that was lovely) and we all enjoyed it. I noticed a glassed-in area where other diners were eating--I'll ask for that next time.
As a previous believer in Stellas, I was disappointed this visit. My French onion soup was not impressive, watery with some burnt bread under the cheese. The wife’s hanger steak was served rare instead on medium, when taken back to correct, came back tasting of a chemical fire starter. Expresso was bitter.
They have done much better in the past. Perhaps another day or not.
Server was outstanding. She was excited about the food and very knowledgeable. She made me want to eat through the menu as she explained their items. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for the quality!
Food was exceptional. We had the featured snapper and wow, it was as good as the server said!
Dessert was not so great. I had the lemon cake with lemon curd. The description was much better than the actual dish. The cake tasted like it had been made way in advance, frozen, thawed in a fridge, and placed straight to the plate without reheating. However, the rest of the meal was so great, I didn’t feel cheated. I’ll just skip dessert next time. I’ll definitely be back!
Impeccable food and service. We enjoyed the pimento cheese appetizer along with a burger and the SC snapper special. All were prepared to perfection and and our waitress Hannah was on point. Thank you!
I Alway enjoy Stella's. Good food and service. It is special, to me, also that one can make a reservation, and don't have the uncertainty of a table. Thank you Stella.
This was our seventh wedding anniversary - the food was, as always great and we look forward to going back again soon.
Love Stella's and always have the most enjoyable dining experience!
Our waiter was great, attentive to the fact we were celebrating a friend’s birthday. He brought us a birthday brownie on the house!
Great dinner, they have some really interesting craft cocktails worth trying. Had the mussels frite, nice green curry broth, just right. Service was on point.
Our Washington DC guests enjoyed lunch at Stella's. The hamburgers with bacon jam were as good as we had promised.
Excellent food, service, ambience. The value for an exquisite lunch entree was very good considering the presentation, setting, quality of food and taste. A+++
Amazing food! Well prepared and delicious! Did not take overly long to get our food.
Great menu selections. Fun atmosphere. Great waitstaff
Friendly staff, food is always delicious. One of our favorite local spots.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere! This is the best meal in Greenville, in my opinion. Always on point!
WE LOVE STELLA’S!!!
First time we ate there. Visit the Stella’s in Simpsonville on several occasions. Love both Restaurants!!! The one in Greenville is a little more casual than I expected but still very nice!! Food was fantastic!!! First time I tried the tempura sweet potatoes!!! Oh my goodness!!! I would come back there just to order them!!! Overall is was a great night!!! Will definitely be back!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Great atmosphere and better food.
The food was great...when it finally arrived. My family and I had reservations at 11:30 and while we were greeted promptly it took a while to actually get drinks other than water. My father’s coffee was brought without the cream and sugar he requested and it took even longer to get a spoon. It was 12:30 before our food arrived. While the wait staff was pleasant, there was little attention to detail and no urgency whatsoever. We had a one year old with us. While it is not the restaurant’s responsibility to keep him entertained, it would have been nice of them to recognize that we were not looking for a two hour dining experience. Will have to seriously consider whether I’ll return and if I do, for what occasion. It is a shame since the food was very tasty.
Three words: mussels and frites. And the sweet breads was the perfect combo of sweet and savory. Greenvilles hidden gem.
The food was tasty, the vegetables were fresh and delicious (even the kale), the service was very good, and everyone was attentive and friendly. My wife's portion of shrimp and grits was fine; mine of tile fish was a bit small. I wanted more!
The lunch was for a birthday celebration. Everyone with Stella's Southern Brasserie went out of their way to welcome, and take care of us. Our food server was delightful to work with, very accommodating, as serving 5 women, can be like herding cats. The food was wonderful, and enjoyed by all. So much so, we are coming back for our Book Club meeting in April. Thank you all for a very enjoyable meal.

Tasty food. Hepful, unobtrusive wait staff, convenient location. Do give it a try.
I love this restaurant. I brought friends that had never been there! They loved it too!
We chose to sit at the bar because there was a wait. (We did arrive early to our reservation to be fair). Service was perfect. The meal start to finish was impeccable and any minor issues were promptly handled. We plan to come back regularly to visit Kara and Jack at the bar. Food was amazing and the tart cherry mimosas and house bloody Mary's were perfect. Cannot wait to go back.
Although it is a tad loud in the dining room, the food and service always exceed expectations! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone for an upscale dining experience.
My bday. Austin was an incredible server! Made us feel special. Brought champagne to all of us since we were celebrating. Food was fantastic. I planned to take some him but ate it all! Great experience and will be back!!
Always a very enjoyable lunch!
Great atmosphere, superior service. Our food was amazing, salads and dinner to dessert! Every guest loved every dish! Highly recommend and will definitely return
Nice ambiance, good food, friendly staff. Good for week night, casual dining.
Thoroughly enjoyed the yummy drinks and food for Sunday brunch and opportunity to have conversations over such.
Great food, great staff
Have been to Stella's before. Arrived here for an Anniversary Brunch. We were the 2nd party to be seated and the Restaurant had just opened. We were seated by the kitchen door. I asked to be moved to a table near a window and the hostess said that there were no other seats available. (literally, all other tables were unseated). I expressed our concern to our waitress who sat us one table over, so we were at least not in view of the Kitchen. The food and service were good as usual. Sticky buns were great and so was the quiche and French toast.
Having found the Hostess' response to be less than desirable. I wanted to see if they would seat all of the tables by the window. I noticed that 2 tables were still had not been seated in the hour plus we have been there.
To my understanding, you cannot reserve a specific table at this restaurant. The denial of my request came across as pretentious and less than helpful. This left me asking many questions as to WHY the request was denied. The reason given made no sense since not all the tables were used. This type of behavior leads to speculation into the worst motives of others. I will give the benefit of the doubt and say it was apathy.
Booked a Saturday date night dinner at Stella's, based on local stories in the Greenville mag. Great 'farm-to-table' fare, delicious cocktails, attentive service, and Happy People all around. Highly recommended, bon appetit!
We love this restaurant! The food is best quality and prepared with skill and creativity.
Food was great and plenty of it. Nice restaurant, good service.
Very good - great for lunch. Outstanding service and good wine list.
I and my friend ordered quick lunch - set menu of drink, salad and pasta. Pasta was tasty, but bit salty. So I -2 stars.
We loved everything
Always good. Second visit in two weeks. Food is always great and parking is easy.
