   I have written a yelp review and have emailed the management. We had an awful experience here last night. It is sad because we have always enjoyed it here before. The wait staff was rude, the host was an inept idiot at best. The food took over an hour and was not editable. And it was over priced. I don't mind paying for good service and food but this was not it. If you read the yelp reviews that are 1 star and then read the management's response to the reviews I think you will see where the problem lies. It I shocking a business that is run like this can be successful. I would avoid Go to somewhere else where they will appreciate your money and provide you with better food and service.

   We drive 3 1/2 hours to Hot Springs and Steinhaus Keller is our favorite place to eat! We love the sausage and cheese tray with fresh fruit and different mustards and beer cheese, not to mention all the schnitzels!

   Everything was pretty good except for the veal schnitzel. When you pay mid 20s to 30 ish for a veal dish you expect quality veal. Tough and chewy, and rather bland. Do not, I repeat, do not get any veal dish. That is all.

   We had a reservation and they let us bring our party of 11 early, which was nice. We were seated promptly. Our server was nice, but everything was really slow. There was another table of 10 next to us with a different server who got there after us and everything seemed much quicker for them. The food was ok, but for the price I expected better. Just a little disappointed.

   This is my personal favorite restaurant. I flew in from Dallas just to have the wiener schnitzel with a side of spaetzle and a big beer. Make sure you get the apple strudel. It’s made by a local 90 year old lady and she still kills it. Amazing dessert. Friendly service, great food, great beer, great dessert. Now I’m hungry again and want to go back. ;)

    Unfortunately, there's no way to know what kind of instrument will be playing on particular night . I enjoyed violin concert very much and would like to repeat this experience, but all I keep getting to listen to is accordeon. And, of course, there's this long ( 45 minutes to hour and a half ! ) waiting for the order to be served , just sitting at the table . It really keeps potencial customers away. The food is, on the other hand, simply superb. Huray to the Chef! As for the ambience - the interor is mostly fine, though the columns look out of place , they should be redone in the same finsh as the walls - i.e. imitation stone. The noise level is relatively easy probem to solve - thick carpet and fabric upholstered chairs are common practice for creating acoustic comfort.

    A fun and energetic atmosphere with harpsichord musician playing throughout the evening. Service by waiter, Kevin, was excellent - attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. A variety of menu items were ordered by our party of 7 - favorite… the schnitzels. A good place for a “twist” to ordinary dinner experiences.

    Wonderful German food made with love, what a place to celebrate my 70th birthday. Friends & family sharing stories and telling how good each meal was. It brought memories back of Heidelberg where we as military brats.

    The food was good but the service was terrible. We had a 5:30 reservation and got there early, the lady said that she would sit us because they were not busy. Our waiter took our drink and appetizers order, but never brought our drinks or bread. A lady brought our appetizers and asked us about drinks, she said that she would get with our waiter and bring us plates. The waiter finally came out with our drinks, minus the bread. Our food came out minus the salad, at least the food was good. Our reservation online said to expect to spend 1 to 1-1/2 hours there and it's a good thing we paid for 2 hours of parking, because we were there 2 hours.

    Reservations are useless; we arrived at 7:45 for an 8pm reservation and didn’t get seated until 8:30. Hostess was rude and sat other tables before us even though they had no reservation. Wait staff was super friendly. Waited two hours after being seated to get our food (which was delicious).

    I understand we were in on a Saturday night and things get busy. However, after being sat, our server was not able to get us waters for 30 minutes. After waters and drinks came (an hour after our reservation), it took an ADDITIONAL hour and fifteen minutes to get food ordered and out. The waitstaff gave no explanation other than "you should be glad we have any glasses left", and there was no attempt to make things right or explain the delays. I can't really judge the food because our whole table was hangry after a 2.25 hour wait and the experience was already soured. Major communication failure and where was the manager to help support the staff if things were so backed up? Very disappointing after we were recommended this location by a friend.

    This place was not what everyone hyped it up to be. The food was overpriced and not very good. I got beef stroganoff with green beans, cucumber tomato salad and spaetzle. The only thing good on my plate was the cucumber tomato salad. I also got the cabbage roll, which actually was pretty good. Great place if you want to try a ton of German beer. I will say this though, the service was great and the staff was attentive and quick. This place was just not what we expected.

    The food was absolutely amazing. All plates were cleaned and I cannot wait to go back! The service was great too. I opted for a cocktail and it was delicious. We sat outside and the weather was amazing.

    As per usual our experience at Steinhaus was amazing. Except this time was different. We waited for over an hour for our food. Our waitress, God bless her, she was struggling. Could not suggest a good beer, was running all over the place, barely tended to us because we were hidden behind a column so we weren't able to really be seen when we did need something

    We travel 4.5 hours once a year to Hot Springs to eat at Steinhaus Keller. I have seen a couple recent reviews saying service is lacking. Yes, service may not be as attentive as it was in the past. They are short staffed like most places. Don't let that deter you from trying Steinhaus. I had the beef stroganoff. It was excellent.

    Went as a family of 5. Decided to try many different things and took waiter recommendations. Started with the Caesar salad and sausage and cheese plates. Those were pretty good, with the exception of the knockwurst (glorified ball park hotdog). Our entrees were the Wiener schnitzel (pork), chicken paprika and 2 sausages (waiter recommended). The sausages were not good at all, the schnitzel and fries were cold/room temp and the Brussels sprouts were undercooked. Overall a disappointment, service was fine and ambiance was nice however the food was not very good.

    Service was not as attentive as I felt like it should be. The apple turnover dessert was very small, sausage corn for the price paid. Really enjoyed the ambience and will probably return when we are in the hot Springs area.
