Food and service was excellent. Sausage and cheese board more than enough for 2. Ligonberry schnitzel was excellent.
Entertainment was good. Service from server was confusing and not very efficient. Food was only average. The filet was not tender. Neither was the veal. It was a unique experience in Hot Springs, but rather expensive for the quality of the food. I probably would not return.
The food was delicious! We had the sauerkraut cakes (I think that’s what they’re called) for an appetizer. I had the Steinhaus Burger for my entree and my husband had one the the schnitzels (the one with the veggie paste topping). Our server was wonderful and the atmosphere was so neat!
My family and I were anxious to try out German food and we were not disappointed! From the appetizers down to the desserts, everything was delicious. Our server, Matt, patiently helped each of us choose our selections and was spot on with his recommendations.
Steinhaus has one of the best outdoor scenery locations for downtown hot springs. Everytime we've been there, the staff has been very nice and up beat!
We have not had German food in several years as it isn’t available around where we live.
This was delicious, the service great, good ambiance, we will go back whenever we’re in the Hot Springs area
It felt like i was actually in a German town. The beer and food was outstanding. I will come here again.
Menu has changed and not as good as before. With the virus problem possibly a new cook ? Food not as good as last year. Appetizers are pricey for what you get on the boards. Will try again in a few months and hoping it improves as ethnic eateries are limited here.
Unable to control people not wearing masks, had to leave half our dinner on the table after adjacent diner had a sneezing fit. Prior to that food was on point German.
Wonderful dining experience and excellent food. Highly recommended. Our anniversary was great.
Great food and great service!
The food was outstanding and a great value- huge portions! Beer was cold and authentically German. Our server was very attentive and polite. It took quite some time to get our entrees after we finished our appetizer, but that was the only downside.
This restaurant is phenomenal- excellent food, excellent service.
Wonderful, authentic, German food. Michelle was a great waitress as well and we couldn't have been more pleased with the food and serving size. We all had the Jagerschnitzel - excellent! The spatzle, red cabbage, and sauerkraut were some of the best I've had. Wonderful!
This is a MUST VISIT while in Hot Springs! Fantastic Service and even better food! I've eaten here multiple times and have had a great experience every single time.
My wife and I are visiting Hot Springs for a week and decided to give Steinhaus Keller a try. The food was excellent and Jordan took good care of us. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Hot Springs.
I was surprised that the table linens were not changed after each group exited. A piece of paper was placed over the used linens. During this time of Covid19, diners rest their hands, napkins on their laps which in turn touch the linens with all their biologicals. It would be much more sanitary to change the table cloths after each party exits.
Great waitress. Answered all our questions! Great atmosphere too!
Hated wearing the mask into place (think it’s really stupid) but took off as soon as we sat down.
It is always a trip worth going just to eat the food. We travel 1.5 hours just so we can eat here; at least once a year for our son's birthday. We really look forward to eating there again and hopefully we do so sooner rather than later.
The service is wonderful and I have never had a bad dish-the food is always exceeds our expectations.
Great restaurant! Awesome food and ambiance! We will definitely go back!
Amazing German restaurant!! Cool location, great food, great service and there was an accordion player there for live music. Would definitely return!
We loved everything about this place. This was an anniversary dinner for us so we wanted to enjoy ourselves and take our time, the waitress was very understanding of us wanting to sit and drink and enjoy for a bit and take our time but made sure to check in frequently if we needed anything. Beer was top notch, although I would say draft selection a bit slim but I had no problem sticking with the Spotten Ocktoberfest. The pretzel and beer cheese to die for and both our meals were fantastic. My husband got the Jager Snitzel and I had the roast, both paired with cheese spaitzel. We had no complaints. Will be back!!! We love German food...just wish this place was closer to Conway.
Delicious! Highly recommend the schnitzel with dill sauce and the Oktoberfest beer on tap. The bread is even yummy. Large portions. We were a bit delirious!
We eat here every time we come to Hot Springs. The food was noticeably lower quality. The goulash had huge chunks of fatty meat rather than small pieces of tender lean meat. The sauce was different. It was off putting. If you wanted wurst, you had to get a sampler with 4 wursts & only got sauerkraut. You used to be able to get a choice 2 wursts with a choice of 2 sides. With the coronavirus menu being scaled down, they only left the expensive choices. ☹️ It took forever to get our food & we had to wait for our waiter to return from extended absences. Very poor dining experience. I'll try again but I wouldn't recommend going back at this time.
Good food, staff was attentive and very pleasant, nice quiet dinner, definitely going back
The soup was cold ,potatoes were raw in the soup.Waitress kept walking around us,never checking on us,always had to call someone else.
Would not recommend, the food was not good for the price.
We enjoyed our dinner at Steinhaus Keller. The service was excellent and the portion sized were huge! They also did a good job of social distancing the tables and people.
We chose Steinhaus Keller based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. Our server was Matt and he was fantastic. We started with the duck dumplings which were spectacular. We all ordered different entrees and a mix of sides. The sauerbraten was especially good! I definitely recommend the speatzle and German potato salad. Everting was authentic and the portion sizes were generous. I would definitely visit again.
My husband and I went for our Anniversary dinner. The place was VERY nice and we had a great waitress that made sure we were well taken care of.
We will definitely go back again
Authentic German cuisine was very tasty. Our waiter, Matt, was very attentive and informative. He never let a glass get emptied. We were allowed to take as much time with each course as we wanted.
Food was fabulous! Service was great, overall great experience.
Nice little stop in Hot Springs. Very casual inside a mall kind of area. It was comfortable and the service was great. Would definitely return for the beer and maybe a snack.
Quite disappointed. Most of the dishes we ordered were not prepared as advertised on the menu. Brussels sprouts were from frozen and not caramelized and had no bacon - tasted boiled. The schnitzel sandwich did not have the toppings advertised, and the breading was soggy and not crisp. The Jager schnitzel was also soggy and there were no mushrooms in the sauce like advertised.
It was delicious! Large portions.
Loved the food, The German beer selection was amazing, the outdoor seating was perfect even in the rain! Our server, Matt, was wonderful! Loved it that dogs are allowed. Such a charming place and will certainly visit again! The sausage, German potato salad, red cabbage, and Wiener schnitzel were great!
Excellent food and good service
The food was GREAT!!! We were able to bring our brand new puppy and eat outside with him. They gave him a water bowl and they had a doggy menu!! Not many options for children though.....the chicken strips and fries looked great!!
Great choices of food. Great drink selection. Everything is great
We have been regulars for a number of years and have enjoyed our dining experience each and every time. Having lived in Germany for seven years total, I find the food, service and ambience to be on par, or better, than I enjoyed in Germany. A dinner well worth our have to drive from North Little Rock!
