Excellent food and a ambience
KC Strip with truffle butter, Ribeye, Double baked truffle potato are an experience. Such an amazing place for dinner. Took my wife for our anniversary and this place never disappoints.
One of the best meals and service we have gotten 10 out of 10 superb overall
The sides and bread were awesome as always. The cream corn brulee and Au gratin potatoes are must haves every time. As well as the bread that comes in the cast iron skillet. The steak left a little to be desired. My wife and I shared the New York strip, medium well and it was a little chewy. Not easy to cut or chew. I expect more from a high end steakhouse. Regardless, this could of been a one off deal. I will return in the future.

This my 2nd time going to Steak 48. The food was cool. Drinks was okay.. Each item we wanted was high!! Like $84 (lamb chop) and $84 (lobster tail).. but it’s expected at a 4/5 star restaurant! Nice setup! I prefer Mastro though for this price.

I so badly wanted this restaurant to be good, actually great. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The food was mediocre at best. I wanted to go back to the kitchen and help them. Seriously. True story.
King Crab Avocado Stack- Needed more acid (lime juice, salt, etc), and the crab tasted a few days old.
Bone in Ribeye: ordered medium rare, steak came out blue. Literally raw, couldn’t even cut through the cartilage. SUGGESTION: As you serve the steak, you should always have your guests cut into it right then, and have a small flashlight to ensure it is to guest liking. That didn’t happen and server didn’t come back for 30 minutes after steak arrived, so I couldn’t send back to be “cooked”. It has sat there for too long and my husband had already eaten his. Also, the steak just lacked salt. I mean, for $59, and I added a side of truffle butter for $8, totaling the steak to be roughly $70, it needs to be almost perfect. I couldn’t eat it, literally left with a whole 22 oz bone in, that I wasn’t able to cook at home and ended up throwing it away. Yes, I paid for it. Such a waste.
Bone in Filet- Husband ordered and asked for medium well, and thank goodness, for it was actually a perfect medium. Again, lacked salt and flavor. He also added crispy shrimp and these did not have much glaze or sauce on them and seemed like an afterthought? Odd.
Side(s)- Au Gratin Potatoes- just “ok”. Not bad, but just “ok”. Creamed corn brûlée - True Star of the night. Absolutely delicious, but for a meal that cost $315 for two people, cream corn isn’t going to cut it.
Overall, ambiance was cool, and staff were friendly, but I was disappointed, and doubt I will be back. Maybe I will try for lunch again, but still debating that.

It was my first time here and everything was amazing.
Our party of 5 were all very impressed with Steak 48. The service, the ambiance, and the food were all top notch. We’ve eaten at most of the top steakhouses in Houston and Vegas, and Steak 48 sits right there with the best. I wish I could remember our server’s name because he definitely needs recognition. He was very personable, gave great suggestions, kept the meal perfectly timed and really made the evening amazing. The food was all perfectly cooked and portions were exactly as advertised. All but one had steak, and we all agreed it was one of the best steaks we have had. The one outlier had the king crab, but was equally impressed. We shared several sides and all were delicious. I will definitely be back to Steak 48!!
First time at Steak 48. Everything was wonderful. From the moment we were invited in to the moment we left, everything was very detailed and professional. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Will definitely revisit.

Food and service was really good. I love how the restaurant lighting is dim so it gives you that romantic vibe with candle light dinner with your significant other. Me and my wife dined there 2 times. But, on the second occasion everything was lovely except the noise level. We could barely hear each other and we were sitting next to each other. We could barely hear our server and he could barely hear us. But, besides the noise level overall everything was excellent
Best steak I’ve ever had! A bit high on price but if you want the best you go with the best. Would definitely recommend for a special date
First visit to Houston. We eat often at Steak 48 Chicago. We knew it would be an excellent meal based on our Chicago experiences. Food and Erica our server were exceptional.

Our entry was prompt, no wait time, well greeted. Service was fantastic. Our server was phenomenal. Very patient, suggested really good food items. The food was delicious and served With good timing in between each dish. Very satisfied with my dining. Definitely will return and recommend. Enjoyed everything.
Wonderful however we all felt it was VERY loud.
Third time here. Love the attentiveness of all who work there. Handwritten notes, follow-up calls and most important - really tasty food. Keep up the great attitude and focus. Will be back.
Amazing service amazing food amazing everything
We came here to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated within minutes and the host handed us a handwritten card from the manager congratulating our big day. Our server, Mr. Socrates, was outstanding. He was extremely personable, funny, and kept on checking on us. This was a very special day for us thanks to Steak 48!

Butcher’s cut wagyu beef, best steak there. I enjoyed the red velvet bread pudding and the creme brûlée corn. The crispy shrimp appetizer is good. Those were my favorites that we ordered. We had some other apps and sides that aren’t really something to write about, they were just okay. Service is impeccable every time. The ambiance is top notch! I love coming here!
