Steak 48 - Houston

Everything was exceptional except the fact that we were seated in the back of a room, on the wall. I had to worry about guests walking by and brushing me. The 2 person table was not spacious enough to hold our menus. Not sure if the menus were too large or the table is too small but It was frustrating to have to decide on our food choices before eating the bread appetizer or taking a drink.
I appreciate everything as so nice and remarkable my experience was everything and my boyfriend was elated as this was his first time dining.
We came here for our 3 year Anniversary and wow! Phenomenal experience. Our waiter, Tayvrin - I do apologize for misspelling his name, - made our night even better by providing such excellent service. The food had our taste buds going crazy. My Wagyu filet and her NY Strip was cooked to excellence. The side dishes we ordered had us drooling the entire way. We really enjoyed our night here.
Fantastic dinner all around. I don’t eat steak but tasted my husband’s and it was incredible. I had the king crab from the raw bar and it was so fresh it tasted like king crab we had in Alaska. The warm vanilla cake dessert was to die for. Our server Dominque went above and beyond to make it a special Valentine’s dinner and his recommendations were all excellent.
Two words: Simply amazing
Everything was amazing. The ambiance, the food, the music playing in the background was spot on. And our waiter Ryan was nothing short of AMAZING! We will definitely be back.
Valentines and Dinner before our baby’s arrival
This was my boyfriend & I’s first time ever dining in at Steak 48. Eddie was our server and he was outstanding! Very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and was very patient with us as we were so indecisive with what to try for our first time there.
We decided to order an appetizer, the crispy shrimp, and those were by far the best crispy shrimp we’ve ever had!!
We both ordered the NY strip, his topped with the Maine lobster and mine with the peppercorn & my oh my was it AMAZING!!
The crab and shrimp Mac & cheese was PHENOMENAL!!!
We finished with 2 desserts, the red velvet bread pudding and the cookies and cream popcorn sundae.
Over all the experience was a great one to remember. We will definitely be making Steak 48 our regular date night spot.
Thank you to your staff for making it an amazing night ❤️
Everything was amazing. I will return and tell everyone I know what this restaurant.
The server was helpful, and very knowledgeable. My first drink i ordered was horrible (because i don’t drink often and don’t like tasting the liquor) the server came by asked me about it i told him i didn’t like it, he suggested a few drinks and had me a new one within minutes.
Love it like always
Best meal I’ve ever had in my life. Excellent service. Perfect date night.
It was fabulous
Food is just OK. Restaurant is too dark, especially in hallways. Waited long time to use ladies bathroom. Person using facility was an employee. Guess she needed to take a break or use her phone. Traffic was a nightmare!!
It was an enjoyable experience. Disnt wait long to be seated, the staff greeted promptly. A bit noisy, but expected the night before Valentine's Day.
Great customer service
The experience was everything you’d hope for in a top notch steakhouse. Great service, great food and great ambiance. Will definitely return.
The food was very good and the service was exceptional. From a service perspective, it was a fantastic experience. The best of the best!
The service we received on my mothers birthday was OUTSTANDING... She enjoyed her food. my $70 steak was fair, decent size taste was average. The outside door was not visible, I was glad they had an elevator as the stairs would have been a bit too much for mother to walk up or down after a few glasses of wine.
We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday at the Fantastic restaurant. The food was AMAZING...my favorite so far here in Houston. We started with the pork belly for appetizer best choice ever...Hubby had the 12oz wagu ribeye, I had the scallops then for our sides the creme brulee cream corn...it was heaven in earth...also the mushrooms. Dessert was red velvet bread pudding and hubbys Birthday dessert was the warm vanilla cake which was so so delish. We will definitely return very soon.
Very Very Good will be going back real soon.
Excellent service. Daniel was an excellent waiter. Some of the sides were slightly too salty for our taste. The steaks were excellent. I’ll be back.
Every thing was perfect
Steak 48 is the stand out amongst a city with lots of great restaurants, particularly steakhouses. The quality of food, superb service and overall vibe of the experience will keep us coming back.
I loved everything about steak 48.
I will definitely be back
Always a good time dining here
It was amazing food and service was spectacular.
The quality of the steak and fish was very good. While the meatballs have potential, there is too much cheese in them. The meatballs also need to be cooked in sauce and served in sauce as they are very dry.
The overall atmosphere is nice, however the modem music playing doesn’t fit in with the rest of the atmosphere and is more like listening to hits on the radio rather than a nice restaurant soundtrack. As a result you sit at the table singing songs which is weird. Also didn’t like that the restaurant allowed a child to watch baby shark on a cell phone for 20 minutes. That, coupled with the restaurant music, completely killed the atmosphere.
Pay extra to see and be seen. The food is good but not special. Too expensive for what you get.
Great from start to end
Hasselback potato not cooked all the way. Desserts so un-inspired and mediocre. Waiter was way, way too talkative. Table location not desirable. Steak cooked to perfection.
This was Fine Dining at its finest...Houston, or anywhere else we have been fortunate to visit! We saved dining here for a special occasion...so glad we did so! Our experience of this restaurant...starting with the greeters opening the doors at the entrance at the valet station, to the hostess, the water and table servers to our especially attentive Waiter, (Jesse), was that the the staff possessed just the right amount of attention to details without very little disruption to our enjoying one another’s company. the crowning jewel of Steak 48 is, of course, food! The rack of lamb, 2 larger portion-sized filets + smaller, bone-in filet mignons we chose, were done to perfection. We started with the Chef’s PBJ, and then just the sides were ordered in addition to the Entree’s. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, Brûlée Sweet potatoes, Asparagus, and Grilled mushrooms. All were presented in dishes, for sharing. For dessert the chocolate cake (for birthday boy) and the banana split were outstanding ! Tres bien, tout le monde!!
We had scanned other’s reviews so made note of and requested online days ahead, a table upstairs, in as quiet a spot as possible. So glad that they were able to accommodate us...as even there, it was almost too much (people + music) to converse without feeling annoyed. And we had two, twenty-somethings who felt same way.
We have already made our thoughts known to like-minded friends about the restaurant and we will look very much forward to our next special occasion that takes us back!
Great dinner for our 9 year wedding anniversary. Josh was our server! The meat was perfect and so the dessert. Thank you for a memorable anniversary
