Pre-Hamilton birthday dinner
Exceptional food and presentation. Definitely try the crispy lamb shank.
A colleague and I had dinner and drinks before the Hamilton show, it was delicious, service was excellent, food was on point, dessert was scrumptious, and cocktails were yummy!
Excellent food and ambiance..... the brunch menu was very good and varied..... service was slow, otherwise great spot.
Service was great and the food was perfect. I highly recommend the duck although we also enjoyed the chicken. Great timing of service (they knew we were going to the theater) and provided good recommendations for our children.
My go-to spot for comfortable business lunches. A good selection of meals, and very good service.
The bread tray was delicious and such a great variety! Halibut and steak were great entree choices. When we left they gave us complimentary s’mores snacks from the bakery there!! Would definitely recommend and will be going back!
Inattentive service-- didn't check some basic things that are particular to their menu, asked for our order very quickly and when we weren't ready didn't return for a long while, drinks didn't get refilled without asking explicitly. Food was okay, neither remarkable nor bad.
They overprice and underpour their cocktails. I was quite underwhelmed with the Manhattan surcharge given this.
Our entrees were great. The charcuterie & cheese board along with the small breads are a must. Great service-friendly and helpful.
Delicious healthy food. Great service. Great for business meetings.
Our table enjoyed the Lobster Roll, Foie Gras, and fresh baked breads with accoutrements for our first course. The Scallops and Tomahawk Steak for our second course were also excellent paired with the Shiraz wine (by the glass). Only disappointments were the beet salad (would have preferred "fresh" vs. the pickled style) and the too salty truffle mashed potatoes that accompanied the steak. Ambiance was quiet and intimate enough for good dinner conversation. Service was exceptional.
Pre- Theatre Brunch. Perfect prelude!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!! I'll definitely be back when I return to Chicago!
We had a wonderful 7 course tasting menu at Steadfast. Each course was better than the last. Very memorable!
Imaginative, delicious, with wonderful service. The waitperson was a delight and the dinner memorable...
The house-made charcuterie is outstanding. The menu is not huge but offers a range of dishes sufficient to cover different tastes within a group. My salmon was cooked perfectly. And the service is very attentive.
Excellent dining experience. Excellent and well informed service staff who was very helpful and mindful in catering to some dietary allergies
Very Good food and service Happy hour 20% 0ff drinks and good Apps only an hour but good
Incredible 10 course tasting meal with Chef Ender Oktayuren. The food was extraordinarily
Excellent food and service. In particular I loved the steak tartar, done more chunky style then minced. The roasted chicken was tender and flavorful. Just a great dining place
We had 7 people for a pre-Hamilton dinner, and the staff did a good job at getting us served in ample time to get to the theatre. Those who ordered chicken were happy but the scallops entree only had 2 scallops and left the men hungry. The wine list and bar selections are extensive, and the food was decent but not outstanding. We felt the the prices were relatively high especially for the small portion sizes. Minimal creativity, just Bistro fare. Having eaten at The Girl and the Goat the night before had spoiled us for anything less creative.
Great food. Good beverage list. Salmon portion in Caesar salad at lunch was small. Can't go wrong with a sandwich or burger.
Imaginative combination of dish ingredients. Will go again.
Upscale atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Full bar. Fantastic menu.
Tables too close noise too loud impossible to enjoy
Really nice for a business lunch. Quiet enough to talk, good food, and really nice service.
The food was amazing. The duck dish is to die for.
What a wonderful meal and night. The food was unbelievable and the service was great. A night to remember.
We can’t wait to go back!
Absolutely delicious. Incredible experience. We did the five course tasting menu and it was fantastic. Definitely worth the price.
The good news: the restaurant honored my request for a quiet spot, since I was meeting a friend and we wanted to be able to hear each other. The not so good news: the food. I had the Crispy Thigh sandwich, and spent most of the meal picking off the excessive amount of fried breading on the chicken. On a flavor note, the spiciness was great, and the pickled pineapple an unexpected treat. My friend had the pork belly BLT, and only ate half. He was underwhelmed, to say the least. On a winning note, the mango cheesecake was incredible -- I'd go back just for that.
Incredibly impressed by management, our sever, the bartender and chef. Delicious cuisine on top of excellent service. We will be back, we will brings friends.
Overall, a very unpleasant experience. Everything is "off.".
A friend and I went for drinks and appetizer after work. Hard to understand why the would say the bread plate is what they are known for. It's so much bread and very few condiments. The tiniest pate of butter and the sourest cauliflower pickle that does NOT go with bread. The cocktails were very good. Like many of these modern restaurants, the tables are TOO close to each other and we just had to shout at each other.
Wonderful Artesian Bread plate with specialty butters and accompaniments. Food was excellent. Good wines and cocktails, though the wine bottle cost runs a little high for the offerings I recognized...a rum based cocktail called the Smoking Jacket left a very positive impression.
The Lobster roll bun was stale🤨
First visit at Steadfast as part of Chicago Restaurant Week. The meal was exceptionally delicious. My server was incredibly attentive. The Mango Cheesecake was divine! I will be happy to go back and check out the rest of the menu.
We were there at later dinner on Saturday for our date night. It was a great quite slow due to the fact that the financial district gets quite after 5-6pm and it was very cold night. But we really enjoyed almost private dining set up and the food, service and interior ambience was all top notch. We will definitely go back for a romantic dinner out.
The food was too pretentious, too many ingredients and flavors.
