Established in 2016, STATION 16 SEAFOOD RESTAURANT & BAR ORIGINATES FROM...

A fireman who gave up his career to help his girlfriend pursue her dreams of opening a seafood restaurant. Without any experience, these two kept pushing forward with their vision. What began as a dream would now become several establishments serving communities all across Sacramento.

Station 16 is the second franchise under the family serving the Midtown/Downtown Sacramento CA area. Its goal has always been to take care of its guests like family while providing flavorful seafood in a fun environment. Station 16 has been voted “Best Seafood Restaurant” for consecutive years.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at Station 16. The ambience was nice, and service was excellent. The calamari was very good. I had the scallops and my boyfriend had the ribeye. Our only criticism was that both our meals were a little too salty.

We dined here for dinner to celebrate our friends' anniversary. We ordered the calamari. While the sauces (lemon aoili and cocktail sauce) were flavorful, the calamari was not well season and the breading crumbled easily when dipped in sauce. It seemed to be undercooked and poorly breaded. We ordered the new york steak, ribeye, steak and lobster and ahi tuna salad. The steaks were flavorful and perfectly cooked (medium, medium well) and we enjoyed the peppercorn sauce over the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were surprisingly lumpy, more smashed then mashed and thicker than most restaurants. They also needed a bit more salt. The string beans were al dente and flavorful. The lobster, served atop its shell, was good enough and the drawn butter slightly too salty. The portions are generous yet we were all able to eat most of our meal, even with appetizers and drinks. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. We did have to shoo away a fly multiple times throughout the meal and mentioned it to our server. For the ambience alone added to the the attentiveness of our server, and our curiosity about the brunch experience, we would return.

Once again, as is typical these days... food, ambience, decor can be an 8/10...but what is killing businesses these days is the lack of employee effort and care. The food and overall decor at Station 16 was above good; in fact, we might go back (might). But the service was so far beyond disappointing. We even told the hostess it was a special occasion. Our server left us alone for almost 30 minutes with empty glasses, no dessert with the sparkler as promised, we had to walk to the bar and ask for to-go containers and never saw our waiter again. Not a pleasant first experience.

We had the Salmon and Seafood Stew both were very good. Good ambiance and good service. We will go back soon.

The vibe and the food were really good! The service was good too, but the food took a while to come out... and it was a slow Tuesday night!

The food and service was great! My only complaint was having to shop flys away while eating indoors. A nuisance when trying to enjoy good food in a beautiful restaurant

The whole family went there to celebrate my birthday, it was an exceptional experience , delicious food and presentation, as well as large portions. One of our favorite place to go.
