Renowned for hosting lively parties and attracting iconic figures like Alan Ginsberg, Starlite invites guests to the Beacon Grand’s 21st-floor, featuring refreshed interiors by San Francisco designer Alice Crumeyrolle. The atmosphere is set with rich velvet fabrics and a jewel-tone palette inspired by the Art Deco Era, paying homage to the city’s icons. Crafted by Scott Baird of Trick Dog fame, the cocktails are both playful and meticulously made. The visionary behind some of Miami’s hottest bars and restaurants including ViceVersa, Jaguar Sun, and Sunny’s, will be slinging his signature drinks behind the bar at Starlite. With accolades including Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards and recognition from the MICHELIN Guide under his belt, Will brings his expertise in chic cocktails and fabulous nightlife that will transport you to the 305. On the menu for the evening is the Fino Martini, an alluring gin martini made with clarified passionfruit pulp; the Very Strong Baby, made with Uruapan Charanda from Michoacán, Mexico and sweet red vermouth from Italy; and the Green Ghoul, a poblano-infused concoction perfected with fresh cucumber and lime. The views were great! Unfortunately the layout for the drag show was horrendous. Charging $25 for a seat in the back where you can only see 25% of the show is absurd. I feel bad for the queens because they did their best to accommodate everyone but this was truly embarrassing for the venue and I hope they learn from this.

Loved loved loved that Sunday's A Drag is back at Starlite! I hope it becomes a regular thing. Drinks and food were also amazing!

Cocktails in a upscale trendy rooftop bar in SF. I use to come here when the hotel was Sir Francis Drake. The Starlite room was the place to be. Now it's who has enough money to be here. Small bites menu, pretty good presentation. Drink menu; presentation and very tasty, like the fact they give a story about each signature drinks. More about presentation - small serve. The meh... They now use the South windows overlooking union square as a private reserved party area and regular patrons cannot go over there because "they are making money". Back in the day, this was the dance area, so there's not really a dance area anymore, the west view is beautiful at night, plenty of seating, but no dance floor, east view- meh. The place does get busy, so they push you along if your not consistently ordering drinks. Go with a minimum of a grand if you want to enjoy the night drinking cocktails and don't forget they add 20% gratuity to each check, no matter what kind of service you get. Enjoy!
