Starlite is a historic San Francisco cocktail bar with nearly a century of vibrant stories. Renowned for hosting lively parties and attracting iconic figures like Alan Ginsberg, Starlite invites guests to the Beacon Grand’s 21st-floor, featuring refreshed interiors by San Francisco designer Alice Crumeyrolle. The atmosphere is set with rich velvet fabrics and a jewel-tone palette inspired by the Art Deco Era, paying homage to the city’s icons. Crafted by Scott Baird of Trick Dog fame, the cocktails are both playful and meticulously made. Michelin-award-winning chef Johnny Spero curates a menu that celebrates San Francisco’s culinary artistry, drawing inspiration from international fare. Enhancing the experience are nightly, all-vinyl DJ sets by music director Nina Tarr.

Did not eat here. Had drinks and overlooked San Francisco through the fog. Great atmosphere and great drink menu.

Truly a great experience! Will definitely keep this place in mind for the next SF adventure. The view was great and the vibes also matched how amazing the view was. Both my boyfriend and I loved the drinks, food, and service. Will be coming again for sure!

Beautifully renovated space. Delicious drinks that had us wanting to try the entire menu. Perfect ambience for a first date or intimate hang out with friends. Will definitely visit again.

Remember when the Starlite was classy and had an ambience about it back when it was the Drake Hotel. Currently not the same place, a different crowd and everything was way to casual. Also the mandatory 20% surcharge is over the top, I tip well for good service not because it is required. I will not be back!

Don't miss the Starlight Room! I went for the sunset on a Saturday evening and the place was hopping. I booked ahead, so I had no trouble securing a great window seat with a great view to the west. Groups of travelers on holiday were there, of course, but I think a good crowd of regulars too. The bartenders were entertaining customers with fancy drink-making. The bartender came up with an excellent recommendation for my aperitif (an excellent vermouth on ice with an orange twist). My server kept an attentive but unobtrusive eye on me, brought the check when I was ready, and made sure I knew that my service charge was included. Except for the fog creeping in to obscure the sunset, it was perfect in every way.

A wonderful and inspiring visit. Lori and all the other staff were so pleasant. The food and the drinks were exquisite. The music and vibe are top notch. And the view through the windows are magical. I cannot recommend Starlite enough. A truly beautiful location, top notch staff, and well balanced cocktails and thoughtful and well executed bites. I cannot wait to return.

It was fabulous hostess incredible gave us the best table it was my daughters wedding night. She stayed in a suite. Only critique I have is this use to be our spot back in the day and I wish it was more dancing than just lounge, but it’s perfect decor everyone super accommodating. Our server a young man Japanese was the best. He had glasses and ponytail

We had a wonderful time, the staff were all professional and friendly and warm. The service was great. The food was delicious. The drinks were perfect. We will be back.
