I loved the ambience, the appetizer, main meal of ribeye steak with mash potatoes and carrots, and the peach bread pudding!!!!! My husband and I were celebrating our 35th anniversary. It was outstanding. The service was spectacular, but my favorite part of the entire evening was meeting and talking with the chef. He was incredible. He shared how he had just been married and after our meal, he brought his wife to meet us. I shared with them both how marriage is an adventure and is so worth the ups and downs. This was our favorite place to dine in Snowmass. Your restaurant represents class, top notch service, excellent food and authenticity!!! Thank you SOOOO much!!

It was terrible! I don't know what else to say. We live in Snowmass Village and thought we would try this out, I figured out quickly why we have never been. I'm sure people told us to stay away and we had forgotten. First of all it was super hot. They couldn't figure out how to turn the heat down. No manager on site. It took them 30 minutes to get us our drinks. We were the only people there!! To food was ok at best. Im thinking they probably don't have super fresh food because no one else was in the restaurant. Two of us ordered filets medium rare that came out well done. We didn't bother telling anyone, because it was clear that no one cared. It was a total disaster of a restaurant. We are here full time so we understand cost and lack of labor, but this was the wort restaurant experience I have had in a long time! Don't go!

Our meals were delicious. The wine choices were great. We enjoyed the cozy, ruby red booths. Our only comment is that it would be better, considering the price of the meals, if there was some small vegetable included. We thought bread served before the meal and then bread served with the shrimp scampi was a bit excessive. Just a few little dots of broccoli or asparagus or carrots or even potato would’ve been so appreciated without having to buy another $15 plate of vegetables. Overall, we think this is a great addition to Snowmass and we have been here 50 years. We just think that to charge those prices you get need to give a little bit more value that won’t cost you so much. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. We will definitely go back again.

Nice place overall, but we had food and service issues. They kept bringing us food with no utensils and they forgot our sides. We did not get our sides until we were almost finished with our steaks and then when they did bring them, there were no serving spoons. When they brought dessert, again, no utensils. It wasn't slow service, just not good service and I would say the steak was only ok.

Excellent food and service. The renovated dining room provides ample space between tables and a feeling of privacy. The young servers were courteous, attentive, and listen carefully to what was being requested. That doesn’t always happen these days.

$120 Tomahawk was well overcooked and cold. All other steaks were also cold, and it took two hours for our meals to be served. Supervisor didn’t charge us for the terrible steak and the wine was complementary. However, will make sure to add the restaurant to our “never come back to” and “never recommend it to friends” lists

My wife and I both ordered an 8oz flat iron steak medium rare with asparagus as a side dish. The asparagus was decent. The steak ended up being more like a 4oz piece of burnt meat - beyond well done. We told our waitress who was super nice and she said the chef INSISTED that the steaks were medium rare. We ended up getting new ones which was better but it felt like the chef dropped half a bottle of seasoning on each steak. Super salty to the point that we felt sick eating it. On the bright side, my son loved his buttered noodles….hard to mess up that one but with a chef like that, you never know.

Frankly, we were disappointed in our meal. Our son’s filet was good, but the French fries were lukewarm. My pasta bolognese was good. My husband’s salmon was undercooked, and when we sent it back, it still wasn’t cooked enough. At a hotel restaurant, the menu should include side items, not just a la carte sides that just run up the bill total. Our server was delightful

This was quite possibly the worst dining experience ever. I should have known to run, but being NYE we didn’t have many other options. I had made an 8:30pm reservation over a month ago then when we checked in I was told it’s now a prix fixe menu and the regular ala carte menu would not be available. I questioned why I wasn’t made aware of this and was told it was emailed to me. I checked my emails and didn’t see it so perhaps it went to spam, but don’t you think jumping to a $235.00 per person menu is worthy of a phone call?! Because our options were limited being NYE, we decided to stay. Mistake number one! It’s was ridiculously hot in the restaurant, like stuffy, uncomfortable hot! The lights were bright even though it was NYE at 8:30pm - total ambiance killer! Then there’s the food…..best way to describe it would be banquet wedding food. Very apparent everything was made in advance, including the halibut which was ridiculously dry and the sides for the steak entree were very apparently the last of the last to be plated in the banquet kitchen. Essentially once we were served the place was empty and staff was scurrying around preparing for morning breakfast service, I assume. The server tried her best and was very pleasant but holy cow was this place a hot mess! Our bill was $1500.00 before gratuity - I couldn’t even get myself to say a single thing because all I wanted to do was to get the hell out of there. This place desperately needs help. Oh and PS - the salt and pepper shakers were a clue of the lack of care being, they were half empty and dirty. Gross!

Our waiter was good, responsive and attentive. The bus staff is clearly over worked. Dishes sat, silverware was hard to get. But everyone was pleasant. The food all came out at once so we ate our salads last. Artichoke dip was bad per those who tried it so we ate the chips. Steak. Shrimp cocktail. Crab cakes. All good. Overall it was pleasant and reasonable cost for Aspen. I good mid week meal choice.

Took forever for food to come (well over an hour even though the place was not busy and people who got there after us were served before us) and multiple orders messed up - salmon was requested to be plain grilled instead of blackened, came out blackened, Cobb salad requested with dressing on side but came out fully dressed and with a side dressing, a 2nd Cobb salad ordered without any changes came out with no dressing at all. The skillet cookie was amazing though, and our server and the manager were excellent and recognized the issues and addressed them.

Staying at the hotel for a conference, made reservations for colleagues and myself to have dinner our first night in town since options are very limited due to off season. Restaurant staff was overwhelmed by the amount of guests that were on property for the conference. Took over an hour to get our dinners. It took 15+ minutes to get 1 beer and two glasses of wine, then our food took over an hour and sat under the heat lamps waiting for someone to bring it out. My pasta was hard and crunchy. We were never offered additional drinks, no one apologized for the extended wait time, never checked on our meals. It took another 25 minutes after we had finished to find our server to get our checks. The staff had just completely given up. Apparently they even ran out of food due to an supplier issue with a road closure. No discount, apology, not even an acknowledgment whatsoever that things didn’t go smoothly. We are all patient and understanding people, but a simple apology would have gone a long way with our group, especially since we are staying onsite for several more days.

Almost all beers on tap were determined to be empty through trial and error that took awhile. Just like every other place in the Village, service is VERY slow in the shoulder season, even though there were more than enough staff. A couple different parties gave up and left while we ate. Staff was very friendly and seemed to be trying hard when we saw them. The food was average/good. Two of the salmon orders were cooked to different temperatures, one being a little undercooked. Large dining tables were being relocated on carts throughout the dining room while we ate, which was disruptive.

Great looking place but just so-so food. I have gotten much better food in Glenwood springs for a much better price. Service, location and ambiance were amazing, the food just didn’t match. Salmon wasn’t cooked completely and the chicken was dry.

We recently read a very positive article about Stark’s in the Aspen Times. Labelled their Waygu burger one of the best in the Valley and praised the skillet cornbread and the spritzes. Also observed how lovely it was to eat on the terrace. So, we made an early reservation to eat on the terrace so we could watch and listen to the Thursday night concert on Fanny Hill while we sampled the Waygu and the cornbread. We were told upon arrival that the terrace menu was limited…no Waygu burger or cornbread! Plus, one had to walk up to a stand to order and pay for the meal. In other words, no table service. Had we known that, we would not have made that reservation. Not the fault of the restaurant; rather, a misleading article. The burger WAS good, and the spritzes fabulous. But the trimmings…fries and nothing else…were ordinary, and they forgot the bacon. The experience was more like a picnic than a meal out. I STRONGLY urge Starks to change the terrace to a sit down table service with a full menu. We did walk thru the restaurant, and we agreed that the decor inside was “heavy urban” rather than mountain light. We are not inclined to come back.

The restaurant was very good. The 4 star on Ambiance is because where we were seated, in a booth, was very cold. And there seemed to be no resolution when we asked that the heat be turned up. We needed our coats to enjoy our meal. Alessia and food were both excellent.

Paid premium price for salmon and they could not cook it correctly to order. Charred on outside still uncooked in center. Had to send back ( while purchased options for sides got cold). Was not a good meal and was pricey ending up with undercooked fish and cold sides. Disappointed.
