Heathrow’s frequent flyer set and local Hillingdon workers are familiar with the Star of India, a trustworthy little restaurant only ten minutes away from London’s major airport and convenient to all of its hotels. Located on the Uxbridge Road, The Star of India has been serving up its famous Eastern Bengal cuisine since 1983, and the restaurant boasts a modern dining room with leather seating, colourful artworks and ruby red carpet. Convenient for business meetings or family nights out, the Star of India is a relaxed and comfortable setting and all of its classic curries are prepared using fresh ingredients every day by the chef who has over 20 years experience in the industry.

Despite some early worries following confusion over the booking time, this was quickly sorted out and we enjoyed a fantastic Sunday Lunch. A fine selection of wines to choose from, good service and extremely well prepared and presented cuisine made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. There were four of us dining for the first time at the Frogmill Hotel near Andoversford and each of us had nothing but praise for our entire meal; starters, mains and desserts.¿Te fue útil?

Anniversary meal at the Frogmill, Shipton Oliffe. Beautiful spot, historic buildings, lovely interior. Food really nice & staff attentive. Location lives up to sales pitch. Let down by detais: REALLY loud guests allowed to spoil ambiance, wandering about lounges shouting down their mobiles. Asked to dress "smart casual", other guests wearing combat shorts, t-shirts etc. No probs with that, but if you have rules, stick to them, would go back, but not for such a special occasion.¿Te fue útil?

Food and service weres excllent at The Frogmill Restaurant. I took my wife and two children (aged 9 and 11) for Mother's Day lunch and the entertainment laid on for the children was first class.¿Te fue útil?
