Encantador

Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. A beautiful outdoor patio is most enjoyable on warm summer days and nights as it open to the sky. Enjoy a cocktail at the full bar before venturing into one of the upscale and relaxed dining spaces of St. Michael's Alley.

The restaurant is currently offering the Autumn Menu on the Patio as well as takeout, Tuesday through Sunday starting at 5pm.

We can accommodate private and semi-private groups. For a full buyout, the dining room seats up to 50 people. The bar seats an additional 20 people, but is separate from the dining room. Price for the entire restaurant for the entire night ranges from $7,000 - $10,000. Two semi-private spaces are available and separated with a heavy curtain. We hosted friends and everyone had an amazing experience. From the greeting at the door by Connor to our outstanding server Ella, the service was personal, friendly and always in the background. Our friends had not been here before and they raved about the starters (the Tuni Taco's were talked about all night), the drinks, the meals and even down to the ginger cookie with the sorbet that brought back positive childhood memories for one member of our party. St. Michaels is a place we always take people for special occasions and it really delivers.

They’ve got a new menu. I can only assume it’s yo make more of a profit. Food was seriously average at best. A Caesar salad was a dish of cut Romain with dressing. No croutons, shaved parm, anchovies. A dish of lettuce $16. Went on the my entree. Scallops with risotto. Plated nicely were 4 tiny scallops dotted around 1/2 c of risotto. $40. I’m never going back, although the waiter, an older gentleman was very good and professional. My husbands meal was also very average. A NY steak We would have done better to cook these two simple meals at home.

Wonderful dining experience! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We loved the lobster taco appetizer. The spring vegetable risotto was delicious, topped with flavorful salmon. Wine list was nice and good value. Will definitely come back again.

The service was very prompt and efficient. The wine suggestions were good. The food had been better the last time we went there. There was nothing wrong with it, but it just wasn't amazing. The flavors were on the bland side. For the price, it was a bit disappointing.

Excellent food and Matthew is an exceptional server. Artichoke soup, Greek Salad, Swordfish, Agnolotti w/Salmon, Profiteroles and Rombauer Chardonnay.
