We had a great dinner and lunch experience at Squire House. They were out of the 48hr braised short ribs so my husband had a steak and I had the Blue Salad, both were very good. The next day we were shopping downtown and wanted lunch. Every place on the main drag had at least an hour wait so we headed back to the Squire House and were able to get a table. (it's not a menu or price point that would appeal to most college students) My husband had the best French Dip he's ever had. I tasted a bit of the meat from his sandwich and it was to die for! I had the French Omelette served with the salad and it was perfect, such a simple meal but so good. We will definitely eat there again when we are in Bozeman.
Good food, nice outdoor seating but service was slow...
Ambience was great, service was excellent too super friendly. The meal was excellent. I’m so glad we decided to give this place a try.
Great menu, Michael the owner connects with each guest multiple times. Food comes out well presented and timing is great. Highly recommend this place
It is a wonderful place for a special dinner. The food is excellent and the staff is always very attentive!
Wonderful dinner. Lots of nice outdoor space which we took advantage of. Everyone was so nice - amazing service, and the food was excellent. We loved the appetizers (had Brussels and duck frites), our mains, and drinks (the Bozeman was particularly good)
The food was great and the service outstanding. Fun atmosphere too.
We loved everything. Especially the Mac & cheese appetizer. I had the blue cheese salad with chicken. Yum! POSs the best salad I’ve ever had. Our only regret was going somewhere else the next night. Should have gone back for seconds.
Always a pleasure. Recommend the brussels, calamari and French 76
Service was great and owner was very friendly. Pasta was a bit spicy. Portions on some items were smallish. Flavors were great.
The owner was very pleasant, welcoming us to the area as we dropped off our daughter for her first year at MSU. He had a conversation with us about where we were from, and told us a little about himself. At the end, he bought us a shareable dessert that was very much appreciated! Great food and wonderful drinks. Waitress was very attentive and nice. Enjoyed our celebration dinner very much!
I always enjoy coming to eat here. The food is always at 100% quality. When things get busy there they still make sure to make every plate with care.
The food was ok, not delicious. The service was very slow. It took 30 minutes to get my salad appetizer.
Ambience of the Squire House was nice. Several choices from the menu were unavailable and the taste of what was available was fair. All in all and average dining experience, but I doubt we will be back.
Food and service was excellent. The food took a little long to get to the table but well worth the wait.
Awesome food. There were at least 8 items on the menu I wanted to try.
What a fantastic restaurant! The owner, Michael, is awesome and we had great conversation with him as he walked from table to table. Great experience, aura, service, and food!!
Very good food. Love the atmosphere, decor and the layout of restaurant. Outdoor seating cool.
My daughter's fries were "great"! Service was good and the staff attentive and pleasant. The food I'll compare to similar restaurants in the area... The sauce on my, very small portion of chick for the price, was so salty as to be on the edge of inedible and the Broccoli old enough that I couldn't cut the stems with a knife. The seasoning on the broccoli florets was good. Note that this is one dish one night. Compared to what one can get elsewhere in Bozeman the beer was very expensive.
Good food and service. We sat outside, recommend bringing a jacket as it gets cool as the sun goes down.
Excellent food and wonderful staff!
Squire House is a gem of a Restaurant. The food is incredible and because it is one block off Main Street, the crowds don’t seem to mob the establishment which makes for a nicer dining experience. The owner is always there and talks to you and the staff is amazing. I recommend going here after a long day at work or a long day hiking. You won’t be disappointed!
The atmosphere was welcoming. The owner very friendly and engaging. The food was excellent. The only downside is they fry in canola oil. There is growing evidence of canola having detrimental effects on the body.
Great food and personal attention! Will return again,
We went in for a Saturday brunch and received wonderful service. Great drink pairing recommendations, amazing food and portion sizing. 10/10 will be back again!
Amazing cocktails and food with impeccable service! Highly recommend the short ribs!
Very good restaurant connected to the hotel we were staying (physically not ownership), because it was raining we decided to eat "in". Very glad we did as the food was innovative and very good. The corn chowder and the blue salad were delicious. The bartender makes a very good cocktail. The staff was very nice and, I assume it was the owner, gave us some good tips for our visit to Yellowstone that were spot on. Would definitely eat there again rain or no rain and highly recommend.
The food was excellent. Was pricey, but then again you get what you pay for.
Most of the brunch menu was not available. Staff made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Could of been a fluke though.
Love Squire House. Our favorite restaurant in Bozeman. Consistently superior food and service, and great ambiance.
New staff member Hazel helped us out and did a great job. Food was great. Happy to be out enjoying a good meal!
Excellent food great service. The space handles noise nicely. So many restaurants are so incredibly loud and this one was not.
Service was excellent and my meal was everything I expected. I look forward to returning.
Such a GREAT PLACE! And the best customer service, and personable friendly staff. The owner is so involved and polite and grateful for his customers. We love going there!!
Perfect hidden gem in Bozeman.
Don't let the fact that it adjacent to the Element Hotel dissuade you from a visit. It is a separate establishment that has a great relationship with the hotel.
The food was outstanding! I had the 48 hour marinated short ribs. No knife needed, they fell apart with my fork and were perfect. Great selection of local beer and an extensive bourbon selection. My wife had the elk burger with a gluten free bun! Again Perfect!
Also we had the crispy calamari on slaw. Great twist on a classic.
Great NY chophouse vibe in a Montana setting!
Service was not great - our waitress was bartending and waiting tables which is fine but was never expressed to us - food was good but came out cold - waited so long for our ice cream we thought it was being churned in the back
We sat for two and a half hours waiting for average food and we're ignored by the wait staff the whole time. The owner tried to make up for it with two desserts, and then got a $385 bill.
This was my second time visiting Squire house and it was just as amazing as it was the first time. I am from out of town and make sure to tell everyone about this place
Enjoyed my second great meal at the Squire House. Our party enjoyed the filet steak, salmon and blue salad. The service was friendly and prompt. Excited for a return visit!
We have had dinner at Squire House twice. The first time the meal was excellent; the second time it was good. For that price point, I expect the meal to be excellent. For entrees, it would be great to include a vegetable on the plate not only for the nutritional value, but also because it completes the entree and gives the plated meal more appeal.
