Awesome food. There were at least 8 items on the menu I wanted to try.
What a fantastic restaurant! The owner, Michael, is awesome and we had great conversation with him as he walked from table to table. Great experience, aura, service, and food!!
Very good food. Love the atmosphere, decor and the layout of restaurant. Outdoor seating cool.
My daughter's fries were "great"! Service was good and the staff attentive and pleasant. The food I'll compare to similar restaurants in the area... The sauce on my, very small portion of chick for the price, was so salty as to be on the edge of inedible and the Broccoli old enough that I couldn't cut the stems with a knife. The seasoning on the broccoli florets was good. Note that this is one dish one night. Compared to what one can get elsewhere in Bozeman the beer was very expensive.
Good food and service. We sat outside, recommend bringing a jacket as it gets cool as the sun goes down.
Excellent food and wonderful staff!
Squire House is a gem of a Restaurant. The food is incredible and because it is one block off Main Street, the crowds don’t seem to mob the establishment which makes for a nicer dining experience. The owner is always there and talks to you and the staff is amazing. I recommend going here after a long day at work or a long day hiking. You won’t be disappointed!
The atmosphere was welcoming. The owner very friendly and engaging. The food was excellent. The only downside is they fry in canola oil. There is growing evidence of canola having detrimental effects on the body.
Great food and personal attention! Will return again,
We went in for a Saturday brunch and received wonderful service. Great drink pairing recommendations, amazing food and portion sizing. 10/10 will be back again!
Amazing cocktails and food with impeccable service! Highly recommend the short ribs!
Very good restaurant connected to the hotel we were staying (physically not ownership), because it was raining we decided to eat "in". Very glad we did as the food was innovative and very good. The corn chowder and the blue salad were delicious. The bartender makes a very good cocktail. The staff was very nice and, I assume it was the owner, gave us some good tips for our visit to Yellowstone that were spot on. Would definitely eat there again rain or no rain and highly recommend.
The food was excellent. Was pricey, but then again you get what you pay for.
Most of the brunch menu was not available. Staff made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Could of been a fluke though.
Love Squire House. Our favorite restaurant in Bozeman. Consistently superior food and service, and great ambiance.
New staff member Hazel helped us out and did a great job. Food was great. Happy to be out enjoying a good meal!
Excellent food great service. The space handles noise nicely. So many restaurants are so incredibly loud and this one was not.
Service was excellent and my meal was everything I expected. I look forward to returning.
Such a GREAT PLACE! And the best customer service, and personable friendly staff. The owner is so involved and polite and grateful for his customers. We love going there!!
Perfect hidden gem in Bozeman.
Don't let the fact that it adjacent to the Element Hotel dissuade you from a visit. It is a separate establishment that has a great relationship with the hotel.
The food was outstanding! I had the 48 hour marinated short ribs. No knife needed, they fell apart with my fork and were perfect. Great selection of local beer and an extensive bourbon selection. My wife had the elk burger with a gluten free bun! Again Perfect!
Also we had the crispy calamari on slaw. Great twist on a classic.
Great NY chophouse vibe in a Montana setting!
Service was not great - our waitress was bartending and waiting tables which is fine but was never expressed to us - food was good but came out cold - waited so long for our ice cream we thought it was being churned in the back
We sat for two and a half hours waiting for average food and we're ignored by the wait staff the whole time. The owner tried to make up for it with two desserts, and then got a $385 bill.
This was my second time visiting Squire house and it was just as amazing as it was the first time. I am from out of town and make sure to tell everyone about this place
Enjoyed my second great meal at the Squire House. Our party enjoyed the filet steak, salmon and blue salad. The service was friendly and prompt. Excited for a return visit!
We have had dinner at Squire House twice. The first time the meal was excellent; the second time it was good. For that price point, I expect the meal to be excellent. For entrees, it would be great to include a vegetable on the plate not only for the nutritional value, but also because it completes the entree and gives the plated meal more appeal.
Loved the food, service and atmosphere! Would definitely girly recommend to friends.
We’d never eaten in Bozeman and found this on yelp. It was pretty loud, and not cozy, which at first disappointed me. However the bartender, our waitress, was fabulous, and so was the owner and elk and hamburgers /fries delicious. Fun last night in Montana!
Thank you so much for accomodating us last week. everyone couldnt have been nicer and we were so lucky to be there with you all for our hockey tourney!
All was good for New Years Eve. A little cold in the dining room.
Go early for quiet meal with great service. Our reservation was at 5pm. Perfect for older folks!
Food and service were exceptional. The restaurant was not very busy for a Friday evening which was fine for us as we were able to speak to each other without much noise around. My steak special was very good, meat was tender and the wine choice from the waitress was very good.
Squire house was disappointing with the food but cocktails and service was top notch. Had great fried Brussels sprouts appetizers. Go for cocktails and snacks.
The service was very slow. No one greeted me at the door, so I was standing there for about 5 minutes even though it was pretty empty.
Food and drink service was slow and food is overpriced for the quality and portions were very small and inconsistent between orders. Very disappointing over all.
Get service and outstanding food. Owner interacts with the guests to make sure that everything is being attended to by staff.
We heard good things, but they weren’t true. Couple next to us, who were local, said that it was much better the couple of times they were there before. It was Thanksgiving, so maybe they had the “B” squad? Service was awful, food wasn’t much better.
We flew into Bozeman for the Thanksgiving Weekend and wanted a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. We made reservations at the Squire House. We arrived early and waited about 10 minutes for a table. Again no problem as we arrived about 45 minutes early. The “Host” (male), was very accommodating and kept apologizing for our wait. While waiting we had a great conversation with the “Host” about Bozeman, the surrounding area and things happening over the weekend that we might want to check out. We were seated and ordered a couple of Lemon Drop Martinis and the Shrimp Cocktail as an appetizer. The drinks were good, you could taste the alcohol and the Shrimp Cocktail was good size shrimp. The cocktail sauce had just enough horseradish mixed in to make it “tangy”. For the main dish we had the traditional Turkey Dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful. For dessert we had the Beignets and they were excellent! We would highly recommend the Squire House for drinks and/or a meal.
Service was exceptional. Could use an upgrade in steak knives would be only thing.
Will go back!
It was my niece’s 2nd Birthday and we wanted to go out and celebrate...with the two year old. We had two kids under 4 and this experience could have been so much different. We were warmly welcomed and the kids’ needs were put first. No kids menu but they accommodated some menu items for us and we had a great experience. I will 100% go back and recommended this location to everyone. Thank you for embracing hospitality.
Food was amazing and service was great too!
