    We had a great dinner. We had 5 people including one vegan ands we all had a great meal. The crab cakes were served in a little artichoke cup,. Delicious. The morel mac and cheese was amazing and they didn't skimp on the morels! I had the chicken breast which was little dry for my taste. We also had two cocktails which were both perfect. Best restaurant in Peteskey.

    We always love Spring & Porter. The pastas are amazing , as well as the chicken dish. We had a very enjoyable evening.

    The restaurant was very busy. Our food took over an hour and our server didn’t tell us the kitchen was backed up.

    Spring and Porter was previously our special occasion restaurant. The food has always been overpriced, however, it had always been exceptional. This last visit was very disappointing in that it was both overpriced and very average. The main course menu had two steak options, two fish options, and one chicken dish, with no specials. The taste was average on everything, including the cold appetizers we tried. The beef tartare in particular had so much mustard it was barely edible. The wine menu was subpar with few options and listing very unknown wineries for high prices.  Fortunately we did a taste test before ordering their bottle special and determined it was not a good wine. I am no geography expert, but they didn’t even know what country it was made in which was eventually determined to be Italy. Bottom line is I don’t like paying inflated prices for food that is average so it will make me think twice before giving it another chance.

This approach supports sustainability and allows us to showcase the best ingredients of each season. We regret that the dishes and wine offerings didn’t resonate with you. We take great pride in our culinary and wine programs, which are led by passionate and knowledgeable staff who focus on quality and craftsmanship. That said, we always encourage guests to speak with their server during the experience. It gives us the chance to respond in the moment and improve your evening, something we can’t do if feedback is only shared online. We value your past support and appreciate your candid input.

    Tommy continues to excel in the kitchen and the front of the house makes you feel like family. BEST place in northern Michigan!!!!!

    Petoskey's restaurant week chefs tasting menu was excellent, perfect portions and very tasty. We definitely will be back.
