Horrible experience , the worst we could imagine . The food is low quality , meat is disgusting, can’t chew it , a small piece remaining and when we asked for a new piece they said it is finished !!!! Why did you book us at 2:30 then !!! Chicken is hard like a rock , bland , no taste , my wife asked for coffee , simple request , and when she added the milk , it was old and the waitress apologized when we showed her by saying “ sorry it was outside the whole afternoon “ , salads disaster , the quality of the food is so low , the service was ok except for some stations where we felt they are annoyed for asking for anything . My son who is 8 years old wanted ice cream and the machine was empty from ice cream !!!! How can you ran out of ice cream at such a “ supposedly “ high end restaurant . To pay 500$ for two adults and a kid is a joke knowing the service we received . Furthermore , when we came in , we asked for a table by the water and they said sorry it is reserved , we sat there at 2:30 and the whole time that table was empty along with other tables beside it , they preferred to seat us by the door .

Fantastic special event brunch at the resort celebrating Mother’s Day. The food was the best brunch buffet food that we’ve had locally - maybe even at all. The seafood bar with chilled strip, crab claws, and lobster claws was a great centerpiece. All the prepared salads and foods were delicious and well presented. The tables and seating were comfortable and ambience was great. We sat outside which was less noisy than inside. Definitely recommend and our mothers really enjoyed the experience for their special day.

Attended for Mother Day Brunch and it was an excellent experience with amazing food buffet. Couldnt get enough of everything. I never knew about this venue but now considering a staycation just to hang out. Great work everyone. Thank you for taking care of us.

We chose Balboa Bay Resort for Easter brunch. It was so festive with many photo spots sets up with the cutest Easter decor. It was a fabulous brunch with upscale food. Unlimited mimosa too. The service was top notch and friendly. It never felt too crowded and the space was laid out nicely. I would recommend BBR for Easter Brunch 100%.

The Sunday brunch didn't have the seafood bar or charcuterie bar which they normally have. The service was lacking even though half the tables were empty. I was disappointed that they didn't clarify it was a scaled down buffet on their website. The manager mentioned that it was scaled down because they had a Santa there. He said the menu was on the website, which was not true. It was very overpriced for what we got.

Balboa Bay club always a beautiful place to visit. Seems like everything is overpriced these days so I’m not gonna tell you it was economical but I will tell my wife and mother-in-law absolutely loved it. We had a great time we’ve done pelican Hill. We’ve done a ton of really nice places and it ranks with the top of the top definitely recommend it

This was the exact opposite I expected from such a lovely hotel on Easter brunch. Our reservation was at 2:30pm and as soon as we got there, you could feel them rushing you out because they wanted to be done. The food was the tail end of the day so it was pretty inedible. The dessert table looked like it had been baron since 4 hours earlier. At the table we happened to be seated at, all the servers stood behind us and we could feel them staring at us to hurry up! For 250$ a person- I am far from impressed
