We recently visited Spare Birdie as a group of 8. While the drinks were decent and the atmosphere was lively, the overall experience left much to be desired. The food was unfortunately very underwhelming — both in taste and quality. It didn’t meet expectations, especially for the prices being charged. Speaking of price, we found the experience to be overpriced and not a great value for money. Another issue was the bowling setup. The lanes are noticeably smaller than standard ones you’d find at places like Main Event or Bowling Era. This made the bowling feel more like a novelty than a full experience. Also worth noting — for groups of 8, you’re required to book two lanes, and on Fridays there’s a $25 reservation fee per lane, which feels excessive given the lane size and quality. Overall, Spare Birdie has potential with its concept, but for the price, there are better options nearby that offer better food, standard bowling, and more value for a group outing.

My group had such a good time. The virtual bay was definitely worth the cost, and this place is super nice inside. We enjoyed the vibe, service, and choices of drinks and food. There was nothing outstanding about the food, but it was not terrible either.

This is a cool thing to have for people and groups to socialize. It’s a little bit pricey…but fair.

This was my second time at Spare Birdie. I love the atmosphere and what all this venue has to offer, but this time there are a few things I was not pleased with. Our server Kevin was absolutely great, no complaints at all there. With that being said, the bartenders made our first round of drinks wrong. My wife ordered a margarita and I ordered a mezcal old fashioned. What we got was definitely not either one of those or just made so horribly, and I expect better out of an upscale establishment. Secondly, and not sure who is to blame here, but our hour at bowling was up and they said they could not extend us as they had the lane reserved right after us. But atleast 45min had passed by and no one showed up and I asked why they couldn't give us atleast 30min to finish our second game. Either way, eventually we were able to get the lane back and play a whole other game but that was after we took our shoes off and went outside to enjoy the live music and came back in and realized our lane was still empty.

This visit was a bit disappointing. Recently we really enjoyed every time we went. There were a couple of factors: slow wait time, slow service, and mediocre overall. We always get a military discount. We had two people at the table that served, but they assumed it was just my husband and they usually give us a discount over everything but this time they only gave him a discount and so we were just disappointed overall.

Came here for bowling and bowling only. Was well satisfied with how fast the system was and fast responding. Everything around was clean and organized. The shoes fit comfortably and the price was justified as other alleys are around the same price. Will be coming back again!

This was my first Drag Brunch at Spare Birdie and it won't be my last! We had a blast! Loved the food, service and the entertainment. I just have one recommendation regarding making reservations. B/c it gave me the option for inside or outside, I wasn't sure where the show was being held. I initially chose inside but then had to change the reservation and my only option was outside. I decided to call to ask about logistics and was told the show was all outside. Knowing the show for Jun/Jul/Aug are inside, it would be nice if Open Table could have a box to check if you were planning on attending the show.

Disappointed with the Food and Drinks Visited Spare Birdie hoping for a fun night out, but unfortunately, the food and drinks were a letdown. The venue itself looks great—modern and stylish—but the kitchen and bar did not deliver. The food was overpriced for what we got: salty, lukewarm, and clearly not made fresh. The drinks were equally disappointing—weak cocktails and no real flavor. Service was slow and inattentive, even though the place wasn’t packed. We waited a long time for everything and had to flag someone down just to get refills. For the price, I expected a much better experience. Great place to bowl and hang out, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here to eat or drink. Definitely eat before you go.
