Croquetas de pollo
Chicken and béchamel fritters
Chilled Spanish tomato soup
Bacalao frito con pisto manchego
Fried salted Spanish cod with traditional eggplant, peppers and zucchini stew
The food was terrific and the servers were terrific at helping our large party
Food is great as always!
Service forgets about you forever, don't come back and check periodically to your table, you have to wave for attention, no recommendations from server etc.
Great place to meet near Penn Station. Very socially-distanced. But few choices for those who don't eat pork or seafood; almost nothing for vegetarians, let alone vegans.
Anniversary weekend and wanted to eat light .. was great
It was such a great experience. The service, the food, and the value were perfect. Overall great experience from start to finish.
Great experience as always. Shared several starters: croquetas, empanadas, patatas bravas and we each had the gazpacho served in a glass. All excellent! For main the Bacalao in a stew of eggplant, peppers and zucchini. 1/2 priced bottles of wine. The noise level is very loud and at times unbearable. Friendly and efficient service delivery. Great space, love the openness of the dining room. Great option on the west side and Hudson Yards
We like coming to this place for the taste of Spain. It’s a good value for the price and also comparative to other places at Hudson Yards is more affordable for the everyday dinning. Service is not as attentive but ok.
The service is NON-EXISTENT unlike any place in NYC. The most Inefficient and unprofessional staff. Never ever go there for any occasion. This place will never survive in NY city except occasional tourists. Rude and unhelpful stuff - truly terrible.
Nobody use a mask. I can not understand that they ask for the vaccine to enter and that no waiter wears a mask
Excellent food. Great cocktails. Reasonable price for the money. If I lived in NYC, I’d eat here every week!
Great atmosphere, really tasty food, good service
Food was very good, but the staff needs training, except for the buser. Thank you
I’m a repeat customer. That alone says it all. I wish they would open for breakfast
The food is amazing! The wait staff is prompt, knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the menu. Wonderful vibe to the place and in a great location.
I love coming to Spanish Diner. The food is good and service excellent
The Spanish Diner was a nice place for our small team (9 persons) to gather for a late afternoon celebration. We had drinks and shared small plates - food was excellent, and the service also was very good. The flowers and plants were gorgeous, but a few times the lily scent was a little much, interfering with the taste of the food.
But overall very good.
Its a nice causal place with good quality food and drinks!
Alan is a great server! we started with 2 Waso de Gazpacho, Aceitunas Marinadas,Patatas Bracas, and Essaladilla Rusa. Entrees were Fricando Ternera, Macarrones con Chorizo. Everything was AMAZING. Some Tito's and Doble Mahou Cinco Estrellas made for a wonderful evening. We will be back. Thank You
Exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable service. Thoughtful, authentic food. Unusual wines, smartly classified and easy to understand. We had a terrific meal from the moment we arrived until the moment we departed. Thank you!
great food, great service. Paola was amazing, I love Little Spain
Pros: The food here is amazing!! Everything we had was perfect. I lived in Spain for 3 years and this is some of the Tastiest Spanish food I’ve had. Periodt. Our server was attentive, very nice and helped advise us on how much to order w/o upwelling us. Two weeks later I’m still thinking about how tasty our meal was.
Cons: This place is loud!! Like, really loud. And they have When we were there they were showing a soccer on the tvs. I don’t love tvs at a restaurant— especially one at this price point. This place is also expensive. The food was amazing, so it doesn’t feel like a rip off, but when we saw the checkout still struck us as pricey!
Very inviting atmosphere. Prompt service (Food was served in under 5 minutes). Sangria was perfect and.
We ordered the squid & rice and the gazpacho. Both came out amazing and nice portions.
The best service that anyone can get, the food was delicious as usual and served fast, had a great time with family.
Will come back soon, strongly recommended
Everything was delicious! It’s a fun place with a hip vibe! Support Jose Andres who does so much for NYC and the world, Founder of World Central Kitchen. He literally feeds the world!
Delicious authentic Spanish food. Great atmosphere.
We had a great early lunch here on a Sunday. The food was great- larger portions than I expected. I particularly liked the avocado salad. The cheese tart dessert was amazing! Great atmosphere, friendly servers, even though they seemed slightly under-staffed. Will definitely visit again.
Great service and yummy meal!
Cava and sunshine. It’s like dining on the coast of Spain.
First visit was like being back in Barcelona. We decided to sit at the bar snd made a great decision. Our bartender Bo Wayne was a treasure. Great knowledge and perfect selections for our meal.
Croquettes (chicken), anchovies. Olives and potato chip, tripe and awesome aged sliced ham.
Authentic and delicious.
The service was not ideal. Our server was not friendly and seemed annoyed with basic questions. Both of us made the mistake of ordering sandwiches which were not at a level one would expect at a nicer sit down restaurant especially at the prices being charged. Overall disappointing business meal that cost much more than the value received.
Good food and good location. Casual and fun ambiance
Lentil soup was delicious but chorizo was too chewy.
Loved the croquettes and patatas bravas.
it was fascinating. better than expected. more than just eating lunch. a treat.
The portions were perfect! We ordered about three appetizers, two entrees, and still had room for dessert. The dining room itself was very spacious and not too loud even though it was pretty full when we arrived. The servers were amazing as we didn’t have to wait to long at any time through our meal to be serviced.
Good food but it is too noisy inside (many screens, loud music). The experience would have been better with less stimuli.
Disappointed experience, food was mediocre nothing to return for! Not expected to be so low quality.
I enjoyed the ambience and food here a lot! Truly feels like a "little spain". I will surely be back!
Great food and reasonable prices about 50 pp with drinks
Much changed from the pre-Covid times both as a food quality and overall service. Hopefully it will return to its original shape...
