We went on a Sunday night with friends from out of town who used to live in Cbus. Spagio was their Favorite place for Italian. Well, it did not disappoint them this visit. The Sunday Chicken Dinner, Lamb, Lobster Ravioli, and Classic Wienerschnitzel were ALL GREAT. We had a relatively New Server and she was VERY GOOD and Knew the menu items. Sunday is 20% off Bottles of wine so how Great is that!!!! The Cocktail list was very good also. I had a Vanilla Manhattan that was YUMO. The Pomegranate Martini was also ordered and a great bottle of Red
We hadn't been to Spagio's for several years but had a situation where a number of family members were in town on a Saturday evening and I needed to make a rather late dinner reservation for 15 people. I was not optimistic that I would find a place and figured we could always order in pizzas if necessary. Spagio's gracefully accommodated us without any hesitation. Everyone in our party was delighted with their meal, and several people noted that our server was outstanding; he was personable, efficient and knew exactly what he was doing. We were surprised that the restaurant wasn't more crowded on a Saturday night but the wealth of restaurants on Grandview Blvd may be one reason. This is an long-time restaurant in the Columbus area and one well-worth continuing to support!
N othing more to say. Excellent as always. Rack of Lamb to perfection. Scallops were exceptional. Served over a corn relish with avocado bites mixed in. Deserts are awesome. Service excellent.
Had a wonderful experience st Spagio! We really liked our server, and the food was spectacular.
Food was delicious and a nice wine selection.
Excellent food with very good service, and a nice selection of: beer, wine, and liquors. I only my stomach was larger so I could have sampled some of their delicious looking desserts.
My family used the valet for parking, as we arrived for our 5:30 PM reservation and couldn't find convenient parking. Our food was delicious - I really enjoyed my ribs! There's also a good variety of entrees to suit any food preferences. What really made our dinner enjoyable was our waiter, who was personable and served us well. He did often come to the table to check on us, which suited our preferences, but that's something to consider if you like a quieter experience. Definitely made my parents and parents' friends feel right at home, as well as for me too!
We enjoyed dinner here after making candles at The Candle Lab located just down the street. We were a large group ( 10) and though we didn't have a private room, it felt as though we did. Spagio's eclectic menu gave many options to our diverse group. Everyone was very happy with their selection and our service was impeccable!
Quiet and cozy
Spagio has been one of the most incredible and consistent dinning experiecnes ever in Columbus. The atmosphere is unmatched in this city, the food is consistently fantastic and the service is always impeccable.
Fantastic food, salads & lamb & ravioli were all delicious. Deserts too. Our server was very busy & slow with drinks & refills. She needed an assistant for table of 8
First our table was basically in the restrooms so that doesn't start off your experience well, especially since you made reservations over a week in advance for brunch. The "brunch" menu which barely had any type of breakfast food on it and was mostly lunch/dinner items was a huge disappointment. After we did order the soup was cold, the ravioli was tough and everything else was just mediocre. This is a place I've been to many times and have had some wonderful meals so let's just hope this was an off day.
They had a bad
Always an enjoyable experience.
Spagio is my favorite restaurant, hands down. I've eaten the Jaeger Schnitzel dozens of times, but last night's was the best I've ever had! It was next level! Our server, Nick was top notch. I dreamt of schnitzel and cheesecake last night.
There's always a warm welcome at Spagio. The Sunday night chicken dinner special is delicious and a great bargain. The Manhattans are the best in town and the servers are fun as well as efficient. A great place to go with friends or family and to people watch on Grandview Avenue.
One of the worst service experiences we’ve ever had. Food and drinks were good.
Food was generally just okay, nothing was very hot when served. Bisque was too thin. Caesar salads were excellent. Pork belly chop was also very good. Not a very good value for price paid.
Never disappoints. Always a consistently great experience.
My dinner companion ordered the prok belly, and it was outstanding...I had the duck, and my only objection is that it was a bit cold. The seating could use an update--feels old, because it is. Quality of the dishes was generally very good.
It's been said before. What else is there to say. Spagio's is excellent in all aspects. Food, service ambiance are all excellent. Highly recommend.
Restaurant was great, as always.
Great food, stellar service, nice wine selection...how could you not like it? :)
Pricy but for a special occasion it is amazing! Outstanding service and delicious. You can tell the staff cares.
Nice and quiet with an eclectic decor. Food was average. Would not recommend this for a date night. The pizza looked good but noticed it as we were leaving. Ice cream was homemade and we did like that. Very creamy.
Excellent food and service
We had a wonderful evening when we visited last week. I was greeted up entering as if they were anticipating my arrival. It was a pretty low key evening in the restaurant which was perfect for us. Our server Dianiella was a delight. She was extremely attentive without being overbearing. She made great recommendations and was truly full of great energy. The drinks were perfect, the food was spot on. Honestly, we cannot wait to come back again for another amazing evening.
When I pay $30 for an entree I expect more. The food would have been fine at 1/2 the cost. Additionally my husband got the pot pie. Which is actually stew with a biscuit on top. Nothing special and over priced for what they serve.
A quiet Thursday night. Soup was too salty. Wine was reasonably priced. Ambience was great as usual. Service was attentive and well-paced, not overbearing.
We had a family birthday party. Very hard to seat and serve 18 (we added 2) people, but it worked out beautifully. Everyone had a good time and loved choosing their desserts from the case. Nick was a wonderful waiter, very attentive and pleasant. Great evening at Spagio!
Great calamari and pizza. Very pleasant waitresses
Very average food not how I remember it years ago. Decor is very dated. Very disappointed it has slipped down so far.
Love this restaurant. It’s casual but also great for special occasions
Spagio was exactly as it always is, which means it was a wonderful evening. The cocktails are always perfect; the food is amazing and the service is excellent without a hint of pretension. I always enjoy an evening at Spagio.
Food was great. Service was extremely disappointing. We spent 2 hours there and didn’t have any appetizers or salads- just waiting on our entrees and the check.
My entree was cold and needed to be sent back to be warmed up and the bill was wrong when it came at the end of the meal. Expected a really good sauce for the ravioli and it was not very good.
The service was excellent, the food was inconsistent, and the wine was plain awful. This used to be one of my favorite places, but the quality has just tanked. The best item we had was the mushroom soup, which was actually quite excellent, but that was the only thing truly worthwhile. The Caesar salad was ok, the pizza was ok, and the cioppino was ok, but the key lime dessert was absolutely inedible. It must have been frozen for years then left in the case for weeks. I feel like the menu is just too big and would benefit them to narrow it down to improve quality. With all the competition in Columbus, that was likely our last time there.
Great food, wonderful waitress and atmosphere!
Excellent meal, as always. Truly exceptional service from Renee. Great lace to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Great place in Grandview. Excellent food always. This time I tried a new lobster/crab/shrimp ravioli, and it was great for most standards, but not as good as other excellent things on their menu. A bit too many currants and sweetness for my taste, but still one of the best places in Columbus.
