In true modern caffé-ristorante-pizzeria mode, this Spaghetti House (one of ten in London, the original having opened 50 years ago) has an inviting open bar area where drinks and relaxed meals area served all day, behind which is a welcoming restaurant area for more formal dining. A handful of outdoor tables encourages relaxing in that irresistible Italian urban style - gossip over a cappuccino, or re-raise your energy levels with a plate of pasta and watch the West End world go by. The familiar menu offers bruschetta, panini, salads, lots of fish dishes, pasta, pizzas, steaks, and delicious home-made desserts. The same warm Italian welcome is extended to diners entertaining at lunch as to those out with friends of an evening.

The service was great. They were very kind. Food was not fresh and no flavor. My lasagna tasted like it was frozen and sat in a hot box warmer for an entire day. Horrible.

Nice enough little restaurant and very comfortable seating and ambience, but food wasn’t great. Ordered a simple tomato and basil pasta and a pesto pasta, both arriving at the table within a couple of minutes of being ordered, and weren’t flavoursome at all. Service was ok at best, when you could get the attention on the waiting staff. There’s definitely much better Italian restaurants to go to, at a similar or cheaper price not to far away from here.

We ate here for lunch before going to the theatre... The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was lovely.. Great that they do small portions as well as normal size as pasta can be very filling..would definitely go back..x

I booked this restaurant for a post theater dinner for my mother's birthday. We arrived 20 mins early but the restaurant was able to accommodate us as it was empty, it was around 5:40pm. The waiters were not very welcoming or friendly. The service was slow even though the restaurant was empty. The food was below average. One of my party ordered calamari and when it arrived it was all batter and the calamari was dried out and hard. The mains were below average. I was very disappointed with the food and the service. The restuarant did not even acknowledge that the booking was for a birthday, it was only when i mentioned it whilst paying the bill they offered to bring a complimentary cake with a candle but by then i felt it was too late. It was definitely not the kind of birthday dinner I had planned for my mother. I would definitely not recommend the place and the lack of ambiance in the restaurant was made worse by the building works going on outside.
