   Southern Kitchen never disappoints! Wasn’t shocked to see it pecked when we arrived at 2:00 pm on Mother’s Day. Seated in a nice spacious area, table decor was beautiful, waitress on point and attentive, someone always came to check on us to see if we needed anything; apart from our waitress. They cleared our table when each of us finished our food and made sure our water carafes and drinks were refilled; if needed! Music was amazing! Shane and her staff really set the tone for an enjoyable and joyous occasion for Mother’s Day!!

   Our second visit. We'll be back. Very pleased to have you in this location, On this trip, I was a little disappointed with the pork chops, only because they were very overcooked. I'll order again, but next time ask specifically not to over cook them. If you are a chicken liver fan, they are fantastic!.Other than that, we had a great Mother's Day experience. We highly recommend.

   We had a lovely lunch at Southern Kitchen. We ordered the Catfish Bites for an appetizer - they were delicious! Our salads (whole size) were very large and tasty. I added fried chicken to my salad and enjoyed it very much. The dressing was delicious! We dined early lunch and it was not crowded and was not noisy. We really liked the elegant atmosphere and decor. Overall I felt it was a bit pricey as 2 lunch salads, 1 appetizer, and only waters for our drinks cost over $100. I would return for a special occasion.

   The food was excellent! We selected catfish, grits, corn bread, greens, yams, mac & cheese and black eyed peas. The only side that really lacked taste was the black eyed peas. Also the cornbread was just too sweet with the honey on top. Bread pudding dessert was tasty but the apple cobbler was not fresh. Our server had to continually be reminded of items we had already asked for or needed. I would recommend a visit to the beautiful restaurant.

   Since service was inattentive, it just made the whole experience undesirable regardless of the taste of the food. The food portions are huge and enough for two but its not a value for us when you order two different entrees per couple…

   Food was okay but very expensive for dinner. Maybe a better option for lunch.

    Food was very good. Waitstaff and bar very good too. The weak point was the kitchen unable to get our 4 meals out at the same time. 3 separate trips close to 10 minutes apart. Very awkward time for us waiting to begin eating. If they can sort that out, it could be a very fine place to dine out.
