Server needs to relax and not rush dinners. Other than that everything was fine.
Food was good service sucked had to wait on refill and only got one. Waited 20 mins on our check so we could pay and was not busy at all. Our guy enjoyed standing around talking to other employees more than he enjoyed waiting on customers I guess.
It’s was a great first experience with some nice southern style food.
I don’t know why this place is so popular. It’s noisy, the live music is overly loud, and the food is mediocre at best. This is the second time I’ve been there. Both times the food was forgettable.
Loved the live music and ambiance. Make a reservation. Large portions and everything was good except the pork tenderloin. Not tender and no flavor. Definitely will go back 👍
Not bad food in any way; just not anything exceptional.
We have enjoyed 'rediscovering' Southern Culture these past few months. Hannah was our server again, and again she did an excellent job.
The food was ok. The presentation was better than the food. Cocktails were the best thing. Service was ok. However, my waitress brought apparent dirty plates to our table. It definitely made me lose my appetite a bit. I wonder why clean plates and dirty plates were even in close proximity for that to even happen. Also, it made me wonder if the waitress washed her hands before giving us new plates and bringing us our food. Ambience was nice. Overall, I don't think I would return to this restaurant.
Service was poor but food was great. A little more options would be nice
this is the third time i’ve been here and it’s been a different atmosphere each time! I love the food & drinks!
Had another amazing experience at Southern Culture. Our server Nate was extremely personable, friendly and helpful! Our food was amazing, might be the best burger I’ve ever had and portions were huge! The fried Brussel sprout appetizer is one of the best Brussel sprout dishes around! We will be back!
Awesome service, great food. We requested a table in an area with nice and cozy ambience and it was on point!
Worst experience ever. It had been about a year since we had been. We brought friends with us and what an embarrassment. Poor wait staff and then the kitchen “looses the ticket” and so we continue to wait. Finally get food and what a disappointment. Will definitely not be back and will NOT recommend to anyone.
The food was very bland. The service was very slow. Very slow. The waiter was also the bartender, so I understand why he was busy. But the kitchen was also very, very slow.
I am plant based so I ordered the egg plant steak . I make a version of this at home that has much more flavor . Vegetables need to be marinated to add flavor prior to cooking . My husband had the veggie pasta and enjoyed it . We will be back to enjoy the patio again
Fresh excellent service by knowledgeable and pleasant servers; easily accessible location.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND A RESERVATION: We had a reservation for 6:30 for 8 people. Our table was given to another group. Waited 25 minutes for our new table to be cleared/set up. Several people with reservations were stunned to wait also. Bryan, our server AND bartender was friendly and accommodating. Our table ordered steak/potato, shrimp & grits, ribs (none BBQ style sauces looked like GRAVY), and chicken. All were good. Drinks were fine. Saturday night WILL have a performer. Ours sung Thriller very very very SLOWLY - it was barely recognizable and when it was, well it was HILARIOUS. Food is not cheap. I would definitely come back. Chicken & waffles, btw, is only on the brunch menu now, but I can't wait to do enjoy it also.
Server was very good but the service was extremely slow.
I’ve only been for Sunday brunch but the food is amazing!! Also, the waitstaff is super friendly and the restaurant has a really nice ambience.
Southern Culture was the perfect place for a pre-Furman symphony dinner. My guests and I enjoyed our dinner, the atmosphere and service.
Great food as always and great service from Austin
Excellent meal, excellent service - the wait staff is so friendly at Southern Culture; highly recommend to all
We dined as a party of 8 with 4 children. One with a peanut allergy. Many foods were unavailable to him because they blend their oil with sunflower oil for all their fried foods. To compensate they offered mac n cheese as a side without an upcharge.
The Flatbread, Brussels sprouts, fried chicken dinner and drinks were all delicious but the mac cheese, burgers, steak, shrimp and grits, and voodoo pasta were all bad. The mac lacked flavor as did the pasta, the steak portion was small, overcooked, and flavorless, and the shrimp and grits was so spicy it was inedible. It tasted like nothing but cream and peppers. It was a real disappointment. We will not return.
Service and live performer was fine.
Service was extremely poor. Took over 1 hour to get over cooked steak.
Great service! Very friendly and accommodating staff.
We had not been to Southern Culture in a number of years; very, very pleased that it has retained its high quality of food and service. Hannah was a delightful server. We will not wait so long for our next visit!
I ordered their Voodoo pasta with blackened chicken to go. When I got ready to eat it there was shrimp. I am allergic to seafood so I could not eat it. This was very disappointing and I paid $28 dollars for food I had to throw away.
Food was amazing music even better will definitely be back
Strip mall. Knew we should not have gone in. Never again.
The flatbread was so creative, but overcharred. The steak was perfect, anda good portion. The shrimp and grits was entirely too spicy (although the grits without sauce were delicious!!) Dessert was primo. Wait staff were all excellent.
Unique take on upscale southern comfort food. Come out and enjoy.
Our service was awful. We will not be back. Our desert sat for 15 minutes in the window waiting on our waiter to pick it up. We sat so we could see the food when it was ready. Our server couldn’t remember drinks. Our order was wrong starting with drinks and continued through our whole meal.
My family and I were celebrating my retirement. I ordered the"Grilled Eggplant Steak".
It was like chewing on leather. I couldn't eat it. So I proceeded to order the "Crispy Brussels". Well, they were prepared in such a rush that they were very tough and completely burned. I couldn't eat it either. My son ordered the "Baby Back Ribs". He said they were tasteless and way too full of fat. More fat than meat. He only ate half of the serving. My wife ordered the "Shrimp and Grits". She liked it. So we proceeded to pay the bill and left the waitress a good tip since we figured it was not her fault for our bad food experience.
Great look, but food was just okay. We got the trout, meatloaf and chicken Savannah. It wasn’t bad but not good enough for a return visit. Expecting much better.
Really enjoyed the Crabby fries!!!
Not only was the food and service great, we loved enjoining the live music while we dined!
We really enjoyed the place. Food was great - one of the best shrimps and grits I have tried, the selection of whisky is outstanding, Brussel sprouts were very tasty, atmosphere and live music were nice. Highly recommend!!
First time at Southern Culture. We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Food, service, ambiance and value are all worth a trip.
Service was very poor.
The steak was good but the potatoes and asparagus that came with it had no flavor. The banana pudding was just okay. The whipped cream on top had zero flavor and it was too much and it muted the banana pudding flavor. I wouldn’t go back.
Awesome food!! Great friendly service. Had the shrimp and grits
