   We have been to the South of Nicks location in San Clemente many times and always had a great meal with wonderful service. This Del Mar Heights location actually exceeded our expectations. The guacamole appetizer was a generous portion and tasted fresh and homemade. The Cabo shrimp entree had 5 jumbo shrimp and a tequila serrano sauce that was incredible. The birria tacos plate was a little too salty but still delicious. The service from multiple staff was friendly ,welcoming and professional and offered excellent recommendations. The chocolate chunk cake was a delicious anniversary surprise and much appreciated. On our way out, we complimented the General Manager for her gracious hospitality , food and service. We will definitely be back!

   I had fun taking my parents to South of Nicks and it was fantastic the food was good the chips were great the guacamole was good but I especially liked the margaritas they were really fantastic will be back to enjoy food and margaritas

   Not going back here. After an initial visit to take drink orders, our server disappeared - we finally had to flag down someone else to take our order. The carnitas were pretty dry, not what you'd expect from what was supposed to be a nice place. The margarita tasted way too strong, and had a bitter tase to it. All for almost $300 for three people.

   Excellent service from Pablo. Paid special attention to us and had fun with us as well. Took many pictures and seemed to enjoy himself. His service was great.

   My husband and I went here for dinner and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Our meals were INCREDIBLE.

   I have gone to South of Nick's in San Clemente, Laguna Beach, and Del Mar on multiple occasions. The food is always fantastic. We were at the Del Mar location on Saturday evening.l Our waitress was terrific, but the girl who sat us was not great. It was very cold in the restaurant and I had asked for a table not near open doors or windows. When they sat us (2 people). we were stuck a a two top in the middle of the restaurant with a lot of traffic and a table of screaming kids next to us. We requested to be sat at a booth a little further from the commotion, but the hostess said, all the four tops were for four people. 4 minutes later, they sat a couple at the four top. We had reservations and should have been given what we requested. Not the best experience at the Del Mar South of Nicks.

   Many thanks to Anisa for making our anniversary dinner so special! She provided exceptional service...very personable and polished! When we arrived, our table wasn't quite ready so we waited at the bar. Thank you to Trinity and Mateo for the warm welcome. Thank you to the incredible chefs! The sea bass was amazing - so moist and delectable. The Vaquero was equally cooked to perfection and devoured! Perfect service, perfect bites, beautiful dining experience. 💖

   South of Nicks never disappoints! Amazing drinks, food, service and experience! Christian was an awesome server! Can’t wait to visit again!

    Second time in for dinner. Excellent. Service was flawless. Food and cocktails were on point. Will be back!
