Soto Restaurant is a unique Japanese restaurant located in South Austin. Executive Sushi Chef Andy, has worked as the executive chef in some of the best Japanese restaurants in the world. He now brings his extensive talent to Austin! We offer traditional Japanese cuisine as well as creative spins on some classic Japanese fair. The team now is expanding its reach south.     Great food - we just got back from Japan and needed a little reminder. The sushi is great - maybe a little on the thin side but great. Miso soup was delish. And loved the rolls

    We dine at Soto Lamar Union every other week. The staff are personable and knowledgeable. They treat us like family, which after a long day at work is welcome. The fact that there is a Sommelier who knows the outstanding sake list is a real hit for us. The sushi is fresh and already dressed. You don't need soy or ginger. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Outstanding menu with some of the best Sushi in Austin. Rarely do you get a Sushi restaurant capable of serving Otoro, Chutoro, Akamai and Kamatoro. If you like Tuna, this is the place. The other options were fabulous as well. Great service, Very knowledgable servers and a nice sophisticated atmosphere. Fabulous Sake menu, too. Well worth a try.

    Delicious food and great service! Definitely pricey but feels worth the splurge, given the high quality dishes. Soto was kind enough to give us dessert on the house after we went a little crazy and got 8 dishes to try between two people. Fantastic experience!

    The staff at Soto did a terrific job helping us celebrate my daughter's graduation. They were great at satisfying our hungry 18 year old, sushi-lover 11 year old, and picky 7 year old and our gluten allergy. They were so helpful, accommodating, and we had a wonderful experience!

    Always the BEST sushi. Freshest fish, great service. Katie and Kevin were so helpful with the menu and suggestions. This is our all time favorite sushi bar.

    Soto is my favorite restaurant in Austin these days. Their menu is so exciting and creative, with dishes that are all about complementing palates of flavors that balance and enhance each other. It is phenomenal food, exquisite quality. I prefer what Soto is up to even over Uchi and Uchiko, don’t get me wrong, I also love those places, but Soto is just stellar.

    I went with a group of girlfriends. We had a lovely time and the food was perfection as always. They accommodated my food allergy to mayo and made sure my guests were happy.
