We went on a Monday night and sat outdoors. Service was a little sluggish. I think the waitress was new and inexperienced. We both ordered salad and chicken parmigiana as that's how we judge our Italian restaurants. The food was very good but $28 is expensive for that dish. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and were glad for outdoor seating.
We went for a birthday dinner with 6 people, service was fast and food was delicious. Our waiter was great. They were busy but it did not keep them from providing great service.
So good! Best pizza we've had & shrimp diavolo was so good! Definitely worth it.
We enjoyed our dinner here. I would recommend it when visiting Kalahari.
Our reservation was honored and we were seated quickly as scheduled.
The food taste great and our server was very responsive.
The restaurant was busy but we were seated in a more quite location.
Food was pricey, but worth it.
I don't particularly like the high tables, but I will back.
The speed of both service and food was disappointing. We were one of a handful of tables in the restaurant and our waitress, while very friendly, only checked on us once and we had to flag her down for more bread and drink refills. After ordering dessert, we waiting 30 minutes for the cannoli to come to the table. It was a very disappointing experience. It seems all of Kalahari’s restaurants have speed & service issues.
Excellent service and the restaurant was very clean. The menu was a little limited and prices seemed high.
Way overpriced. There’s now way our meal should have cost 130$ for two kids meals and three adult meals.
Nick, was our waiter and was amazing. Everything he recommeded was perfect!!
We will be back!!!!!
Our waitress was to busy to attend us. It wasn't a good experience for our first time.
Excellent dining experience for my family at this type of family venue!
The food was bland, the chicken was the same chicken used throughout the resort. The chicken fettuccine and chick a chick a needed lots of salt and pepper to be edible. Olive garden is definitely better. The server was not good at his time management skills. He was all over the placed. Kept forgetting things and going back. The food was definitely not worth the $100 bill for 2 adults and 2 kids.
You did a great job making my son feel special on his birthday. Thank you!
Great Italian food. The bread is delicious and so is the chicken parmigiana.
Had reservations for 7:45 pm. Didn’t receive our food till well after 9:00 pm. We were served water and never asked if we would have liked anything else to drink. The food portions were not what I expected especially for the prices. Most of our group left hungry.
After reading some of the negative online reviews about Sortino's, we were skeptical but someone gave us a gift card. We were surprised to find that none of the issues mentioned happened to us. I got the highly recommended lasagna and it was pretty darn good. The wifey got a specialty pizza and it was also quite tasty. Topped it off with some wine and sangria and we had a pretty good meal. The service was great and the ambiance was awesome! Would definitely visit them again!
The best Italian I have had in Texas to date. The pasta was so fresh and everything as fantastic.
Food is a little pricey. Otherwise, Great customer service! Great server! Super yummy food! Thank you for the great experience!
I attempted to not review food since my family and I left because after sitting for 40 minutes I had to ask the waitress to check on the food only for her to tell me she apologized because she did not put the order in. Even worse the waitress passed us several times, front hostesses passed and what I would assume were managers passed by as well, looked directly at the table we were sitting at and didn't ask if we were being helped or anything. Oh yes and the front hostesses were playing with themselves and act as if they were giggling around a pool rather then assist diners....get rid of this place and put a real Italian restaurant in its place!
The food was great and big portions. I will definitely be returning to eat here!! Great service as well.
Service was slow. We waited a long time for food and drinks to arrive after ordering. The food was ok but not for the price.
Stayed at kalahari the week with the kids for vacation. Ate here one night and were promptly seated, waitress was great with my girls, food was good and good portions. A good experience.
We had reservations but still had to wait 15 minutes. It seems every restaurant in hotel complex was understaffed. The fact this was an issue during spring break week was bad
Food was average. Ordered a pizza and had to send it back because half the pizza had no cheese on it. It’s not the same as pizza shop next door .. which was excellent. But it was good with fresh ingredients when we finally got it. Pasta dish was good and good portion
Server was overwhelmed and dinner took about 2 hours for 4 people. Salad, pizza and pasta should not take this long.
In general, food service in resort is untrained and slow. Kitchen must be understaffed as well as it take a long time no matter where you go
Food at this restaurant was just average
Amazing scratch made Italian. It was good we ate there twice in three days!!! The lasagna is phenomenal. We had the lasagnas, chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, three cheese ravioli, Cesar salad, calamari, meat and cheese board and it was all delicious. The staff was so friendly and the service was fast. Dora is so sweet and our server Ryan was great!!!
Great prices on vino and Great selection of Italian vino.
Sortion's was fantastic. The food was delish and fresh. The only complaint I have was that the food took a long time to come out. My kids being 8 and 3 years old were inpatient as they had a long day and really hungry. The service was great. I would dine here again.
Our waitress, McKenzie was the best. Food was amazing!
Our waiter was quick and personable! Great food and service.
The food was great. Recommend the stuffed shells. The initial service was slow. They’re still working out how to deal with “larger” crowds around spring break, etc.
Thought this would be typical resort bland food, but it was amazing. The lasagna was amazing and my son loved the spaghetti with meatballs.
Stuffed pasta shells we hard. Definitely not worth the price.
Very good restaurant. Large portions. Very friendly service.
Sortinos is very good and has the best wine selection .
Everything about this place was great. Friendly server, good ambiance, great food!
Everything was delicious. We loved the charcuterie board and seafood Diablo dish! We’d go back again.
The shrimp scampi was one of the best I ever tasted! Generous portions on all the plates we ordered. Service was friendly and staff was very accommodating to our family which included small children. We were guests at the Kalahari so it was very convenient for us to eat there but pricing was a bit high so I recommend this for special occasions or a date night.
To is, the flavors just weren’t good to us. We never got bread for our table. Never got refills.
First, the greater did not give us napkins with utensils when she seated us. Second, our wait staff was very unsure of herself and had to be told thing twice. The Food was not worth the money. Portions where small for the price you paid. Lastly, the pasta was under cooked in the stuffed pasta shell dish we ordered. We told this to our waitress and all she said was I am sorry, and did not offer a replacement. Very disappointing for what you expect at a resort at those prices.
For the price we paid, we expected great food. What we received was below Olive Garden in quality. The pizza was soggy and lacked flavor and other food was just strange.. They served my daughter spaghetti without sauce, what?
