   Our server, Cassandra, was attentive and helpful. Food was very good and served in a timely manner. I will be back and bring others when we visit Banner Elk.

   I didn’t get our waiter’s name, but he was helpful with the menu and checked in on the table regularly. The food was amazing and I will definitely be back again!

   Bloody Mary was excellent. Eggs Benedict sauce not really warm and eggs not runny as expected for egg’s Benedict. It was the price that would make us not come back but rarely. $60 for breakfast for 2 is just not in our price range.

   We have always had delicious meals and great service at Sorrento’s. The crab cakes are fabulous!The only issues we have ever had is finding parking during some times of the year and noise level can be extremely high from 6-7:45 or so. We actually had to scream across the table to hear each other last night. As soon as that party left, no noise issue at all. Their rolls are probably the best we have ever had!

   Food was excellent, calamari was excellent, food portions large, friendly atmosphere. We took a pizza to go for next day lunch, it was delicious.

   Excellent menu and daily specials. We had halibut, salmon, crab cakes amongst us; all were delicious and they allowed subs on the sides. Parker was as good as any waiter I have enjoyed in 60 years of social and business dining during extensive travel. One negative....they charge an exorbitant credit card fee so we used cash. Please, don't stoop so low at such a fine restaurant; build the charges into your costs at the cost incurred rather than padding the bottom line.

   We were hungry and had just arrived in Banner Elk. We started with a basket of homemade rolls and a bottle of Banner Elk White, after our server, Christina let us taste a couple of different white wines. The Banner Elk White is delicious and inspired us to visit the winery. Christina took excellent care of us. I enjoyed the crabcake appetizer, which was my main entree, and my husband ate part of his meat and vegetable pizza, which was good, but not outstanding. The menu had a variety of food and prices, with pasta dishes that sound delicious. We filled up on too much bread and did not have room for dessert. Christina told us the flambe chef was there only on Sunday nights, and we watched him prepare flambe for another table. We took doggie bags for our leftover pizza and rolls. All in all a great experience.

    The stuffed mushrooms and bread rolls were awesome! The pasta was okay but was overpriced and lacking flavor. We may be back to try the bananas foster sometime.
