Amazing weekend brunch with awesome outdoor seating options....Highly recommend!
Always a great experience dining at sorrentos, service is always great food is perfect, menu has plenty of options. Unique art on the walls and the flambé dessert is a great added experience by the table.
Reagan is a great waitress, attentive and helpful and a joy!
We love Sorrento's for our Saturday night dates! Great food, easy atmosphere!
Delicious. Very loud.
Service was less than exceptional. You could tell the server was either new or just inattentive.
The food was pretty good but it could’ve used a little more seasoning. Across-the-board from the lasagna to the bruschetta, it was a little under seasoned.
The ambience was amazing.
I loved my experience at Sorrento's. The food and service are excellent.
The worst service ever, we were ignored the whole night like an after thought...no drink refills, no bread to table, plates weren’t removed. Waitress’s didn’t care about our table whatsoever. Food was cold. Bland tasting. Weren’t even allowed to order desert, we were just given a check without even being asked and pushed out. I expect a call back and refund.
Over all experience is perfect. Worth a long ride just to have taste of the famous sorentos
Great service, food is generally good. We liked the appetizers though we've had better crab cakes and the Salmon special entree was good. Unfortunately I had a seafood pasta dish that was undercooked. One of the mussels was not even open. They took it off the bill. We'll go again. Prices are too high.
They sat us next to the bathrooms requesting a new table when we saw 6 tables open.
The Burrata salad had thick hard tomatoes.
The fettuccini was gummy and hard to chew and swallow. The cup of plain black coffee was $5.00
Huge portions. Don’t need apps or salads
Amazing food and nice waiters WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Delicious!!!!!!!
Service was good. Food was nothing special. Sauce tasted like Ragu. Pricey for what you get.
The food was great. We ate at both the Chef’s Table and downstairs in Sorrento's. Chefs Table was absolutely amazing and a great way to celebrate our honeymoon. The downstairs was very nice and much more casual, just wish we hadn’t been sat by an extremely loud and annoying large group.
Very good restaurant. Good food, good service. Main dining room has high ceilings and hard surfaces and thus was quite loud. Other rooms may be quieter
Best Francaise ever. Salon salad always good. Carolina was delightful.
The food was great! We came during lunch hours and they were only serving pizza and wings but then gave us the whole menu to choose from which was a great thing. All dishes we ordered were tasty
We had a lovely meal! The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful. We will be back!
We stopped here on our vacation and the food was fabulous. We had very good service and they had very nice ambience. We will be back
We unfortunately had a poor experience at Sorrento's, after having visited ~10 times in my life. My parents and I stopped by for a Monday night dinner, only to be left with a very poor taste in our mouths. The service was awful, it was impossible to get a refill for our waters, the martini was served in a champagne glass, and they were out of wine glasses to serve us our bottle of Cabernet. The caesar salad was excellent, to say the least. My mother received linguini with clams that had a disproportionate amount of red pepper on it, making it inedible. We told the server who proceeded to apologize, but then brought us the bill and still included it on the bill. That is a terrible practice, to charge patrons for a completely uneaten dish. I will say we were very disappointed having been local to the area for many years. I will not be returning.
Great place to have dinner. Awesome service.
My wife & I stumbled upon this amazing restaurant on accident when we were told of. Long wait time elsewhere. What LUCK. We live 2 1/2 hrs away and it has became our favorite spot to to dine now. We’ve been back 4 times in 5 weeks! AMAZING Brunch & the Man in the Blue Jacket is the best! Highly recommend! Food is great, atmosphere & service is better! Don’t miss out on the brunch!!
Food was fabulous, staff was friendly. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely table outside, and brought our little dog. Their patio is covered and has heaters, so if you're looking for an outdoor spot, this is a nice one! Chicken Marsala was fabulous, and my husband had a seafood dish, also delicious.
Sunday brunch. Great selection, prompt service and appropriate social distancing. Mimosa and Bloody Marys were good. Enjoyed the artwork and ambiance, too.
This was my 4th time at Sorrento’s as a visitor to the area. I’ve always enjoyed their italian food. This time I tried the chicken piccata. It was good but not as good as the lasagna. Overall our service was slow. Our waiter was not very attentive, but he was nice. The one thumbs down is that they have implemented a new policy whereas if you don’t pay cash and use a credit card you get a 4.5% surcharge. Knowing that credit card companies do not charge 4.5% for a merchant account, I thought this was a little steep. Also the seating off to the side room took away from the ambience and vibe of this good location. Sit outside if weather permits.
Xena was awesome!
Average, average, average. Nothing spectacular about this restaurant. Covid-19 protocol was shaky at best inside. People in the bar area walking around close tables squeezing past people. I then asked to sit outside which was much better. Servers are students from the nearby college. I will not make the drive to dine hear again. Average all around experience.
Exceptional food and service from Heather. Numerous specials offered, chose the wild salmon entree that was delicious. Friends had steaks and a chop, also yummy. Highly recommend.
Great service and food.
Everything was great...especially the service! Everyone was very friendly!
Some of the best italian food in the entire area!!! Great service, fun, love new outdoor spaces and all the different options for dining inside or outside.
As residents of Banner Elk, NC, we dine at Sorrento’s often. It’s a fabulous restaurant that we love to bring our out-of-town guests. The meal tonight was excellent as usual and Laura, our waitress, was the best. The jazz band playing in the upstairs Chef’s Table area was enjoyed by all.
This restaurant was mobbed with people on a Saturday night many of whom were not wearing masks. Made us uncomfortable.
You will not make a mistake eating here—make your reservation now!
Trout with a beurre blanc sauce was fabulous. Great food. Great service. Lovely outdoor patio in back.
We were really disappointed with the quality of the food. Our chicken parmesan sandwiches tasted like they had been made with prepackaged frozen patties. Nothing tasted fresh except for the French fries and the sandwich rolls! The sandwich itself was tiny.
Raven was delightful and Anthony most accommodating as always.
We had been to Sorrento’s previously for Saturday lunch, this was the brunch menu (which we were unaware of until after being seated). Menu is very limited, and there are NO substitutions (we asked for salad instead of fries for example). Service was very mediocre, often times with empty glasses...our food was delivered at separate times (we were finished with our meal prior to our Son getting his pizza). Very disappointing in that there was no Italian on the brunch menu (lunch was not offered). We may go back, but not for brunch...
No complaints on the food.
Was a bit put off that the pricing on the open table online menu and the website menu was different than the in person menu.
Substitution charges were not explained and seemed excessive; waiter admitted he should have explained it.
During dinner a stray cat came into the dining area and defecated next to us while we were eating. Waiter said the cooks feed it and that’s why it hangs around the restaurant. As you can image kinda ruined dinner for us.
