My date was excellent, food was good. We are on vacation, so I don’t know if we will have another opportunity to visit again.
The food was great! We had Spinach lasagna and the shrimp entree. Both were excellent.
It took over an hour for our food to arrive. We watched multiple tables get seated 30+ minutes after us and yet their food came before us. We had only ordered two items. They tried to use the excuse that the kitchen was backed up but if that was the case, others wouldn’t have gotten their food before us that came way after us.
Reservations were made at the wrong restaurant. When we tried to cancel the restaurant claimed we didn’t have a reservation. Open Table was no help in resolving the error
The place is really nice and the service was great. We all had such high hopes for this place. The food was disappointing to say the least. My cavetelli
We love Sorrento’s and dinner Saturday night didn’t disappoint! The front desk staff accommodated our extra person and we were so impressed with how they handled it. The food was excellent as always and our waiter, Carson, was great. Best place in Banner Elk to entertain guests.
We had reservatio
Good Italian - very good appetizers and local brews - little pricey but the food is great so happy to pay it.
Unedible eggplant sorrento. Horrible pace of food delivery ... my entree coming WY before husband's, salad before drinks, etc. Bright spot - good pizza. Will not return.
Food was amazing and service was great. We had reservations and our table was ready upon arrival. I do think if you go on your birthday , you should have a complimentary piece of cake. Yesterday was my 60th birthday. That is my only complaint. Otherwise this place is excellent. We will return !
Food was good, but overpriced in the opinion of most of our party of four. Ambiance sitting outside was very nice. We will likely not go back soon since there are other Italian restaurants nearby like Bella's or Casa Rustica in Boone with comparable food for less money.
Were very accommodating as we were late for our reservation due to traffic but sat us right away downstairs. Service was outstanding. Great atmosphere, fun scene with outdoor dining and fire pit.
Sorrento's has the most delicious Italian dishes. The rolls came out to the table just as we were seated. These are to die for, so buttery/garlicy and soft. I ordered the mussel appetizer with white sauce and it was outstanding. The portion was large, almost couldn't finish eating it. Our waiter Scott was terrific. He handled our requests with a smile. Highly recommend eating here.
Have been coming there since 2007. Chicken Francaise was great as always. We were fortunate to have Nikki prepare us another outstanding Salon salad. James was a great server and a real hoot.
Excellent service and food
I always enjoy the food, service & ambiance at Sorrento’s! My favorite is the Burrata Caprese Salad!
Reservations were for 8:15 for a party of 6. We are all from out of town so we were excited to try this restaurant since we were in the mood for Italian. We arrived around 7:20. I went to the hostess stand to let them know we arrived early just in case the table was available. He went to check and came back to let me know that it was still occupied. I stated I would check back. I went back to check on table around 7:50 and a dark headed girl stated that the table was now available and they were waiting on the server. I asked how I would know when it was ready. She said we would receive a text or call. I went back at 8 to check again and a blonde girl stated if our reservation was for 8:15 then they would have us seated at that time. She was rude really. She didn't even bother to check the table. At 8:15, our whole group went inside and sat inside while I waited to talk to the hostess again. The blonde girl was on the phone so I thought, "ok...she must be calling the us to let us know the table was ready". I received no call. She then turned around and headed to one of the other girls in our group an:d asked if we were waiting to be seated. She told her yes...our reservation was at 8:15. She asked the name and she stated we had already been seated. Of course that was not the case. She then asked if we still wanted to be seated. Well...again...we waited over an hour so YES we want to be seated. She NEVER apologized for making a mistake.
My suggestions...1. never assume people that eat there are locals. They never once told me I would receive a text or call...I had to ask. 2. Your hostesses should reflect your business. She was ugly to us and the food was mediocre. The only positive thing was our waiter. He was fabulous.
Best Italian for us in a long time. Wonderful service. Mathew our server was terrific. Will be back next year
Good food @ reasonable prices! I’d go there again next time in Banner Elk area.
This was our first time at Sorrento‘s. We had a lovely evening here. We sat by a window near the bar. The vibe is definitely Italian bistro. Our server was pleasant, engaging and attentive. We enjoyed the huge salads and the Artichokes Francese was very tasty. I would definitely come here just for the fluffy yeast rolls. So good. We had the Eggplant Parmesan and the Veal Francese. Both were large portions and full of flavor. We will definitely return when we are in Banner Elk.
Phoebe and Logan are really terrific! Service and food were fabulous!
We ate in the outside section of the restaurant and found it very comfortable. Our waiter was personable and efficient. The food was excellent. We make this restaurant a must for when we visit in the area.
This restaurant was pretty loud on the inside and the server was nice. My first wine glass was dirty on the inside but second was good. my dish was okay, good pasta but chicken wasn’t the best. My husbands lasagna was cold on the inside. Server left menus on our table until we reminded them to remove them.
More casual atmosphere than the price demonstrates- over priced food.
Excellent food and service. Friendly and plentiful staff; wonderful seafood.
As usual, the food was excellent. Our server, Tanner was a delight. All the staff was friendly and helpful. It was good to see Bert again, of course we just saw him last week.
Service was extraordinary. Food was delicious. I ordered the Fruitti de Mare and five or so clams and mussels didn’t open which I think was more than expected and so pointed out to our waitresss. We were given a 20% discount of my meal. The clams Oreganata were wonderful and I would recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I went here for our 41st anniversary. Although it was mentioned when the reservation was made, nothing was said. Other than that, the food was great. Service was excellent. As the restaurant became more crowded, it was loud inside.
order mussels & past, a veal dish and trout special - all delicious
Clam appetizers were great; Veal Fracaise and seafood pasta were amazing but I think best of all were the warm buttery rolls! Great meal!
Good was good
Limited wine options by the glass
Large group of women in room , having fun but wow LOUD . No buffers for noise . Our waitress Stephanie was great , very attentive . Food was excellent & Mgr checked on us . Overall great 👍 will be back to try there pizza .
understaffed restaurant. Long delays in service. Food is very good.
Overall a great place, but it was very loud with activity.
Loud but very good
We always enjoy eating at Sorrento's
We sit outside and our mini schnauzer is always welcomed.
This is probably my 5th or 6th visit to Sorrento's. We sat in an area near where they must have live music at times. This was the first time that we sat in that area. That area was louder than we are used to. The food was amazing as usual, the service was great.
Great food. Noise level high as usual good service. Thanks
Not pleased, always seems to be out of different menu items. This time the artichoke Francaise appetizer, actually the item that prompted the reservation. The dining room has been too noisy for years and nothing has been done to minimize this, extremely difficult to even carry on a conversation.
Calamari is some of the best; as were the mussels.
Mr. A's clams ARE the best!
Everything is exceptional.
