The food was very good. We arrived an hour early for our reservation but they went ahead and seated us. It is very small but cozy. The meatballs were AMAZING!! I had a power salad which was ok-good. My husband had the gumbo and it was very good.
This place was very nice. Food quality and taste were very pleasant. Staff and owner were great also. Definitely will be back.
Everyone was super nice and the food was delicious!
Outstanding food and service at very affordable prices.
An absolute gem. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The food is outstanding - not a bad dish on the menu.
Wanted to try a new restaurant this visit to New Orleans and I was not disappointed. The food and entire experience at Sorella5 was exceptional. A great family owned establishment. The handmade meatballs, the red beans & rice and the gumbo were AWESOME!!! This is definitely one of my new places to visit whenever I'm in New Orleans. I also loved meeting and talking with The Sisters. 🙂
The food and drinks were great. The staff/owners are very friendly and personable. All the food is homemade and fresh. Overall great experience.
Another great meal at Sorella! Waitress and owners were fantastic; service was excellent. They have a great happy hour too. Highly recommend the seafood trio w/ fish, shrimp, and oysters…
Delicious family recipes. Friendly staff. Amy whatcha gonna do was awesome. Meatballs and red beans and rice were incredible. Italian slaw off the charts. Wonderful meal. Lori is the best.
Outstanding place to venture off from the touristry French qtr. Extremely nice ambience and great food/drink.
We got there during happy hour and we both (husband and I) had the watermelon spritz, I am usually not a fan of watermelon/fruity drinks, but this was not too sweet and had a very subtle fresh watermelon taste, I recommend.
I got "The Baronne" and was absolutely delicious, my husband got the meat balls and that was really great too, but I was very happy with my poboy.
We also shared the wedge salad which was up there with great wedge salads.
If you are looking for an Italian restaurant and a good poboy I highly recommend this place.
We just found this place and live down the street we will definitely be coming back for more.
This was a new place for us and it was great. One of the best shrimp po-boys for the price. Try the meatballs you will thank me later. We will be back.
Our first night of vacation in New Orleans. Dinner was excellent, great comfortable restaurant.
Excellent food, great service and friendly environment.
Amazing. Love the sisters and can't wait to go back.
Food was excellent -- I recommend the Italian Wedge with oysters or grilled shrimp. Also, I meatballs and spaghetti was a group favorite.
Beautiful restaurant and beautiful picture of the sisters! Happy we got to meet one. The food was AMAZING!
We went for my mother in law’s birthday dinner on vacation. We were looking for a place that would be chic and also delicious and Sorella5 was perfect! We had a rather large party so it had been hard to find a place to host us, but they made room for us. First, the food was outstanding! Some of the best jambalaya and gumbo we’ve had! Second, the amazing sisters who own this restaurant are just the sweetest! They run the restaurant as if they were hosting you at their house! They came by to chat and check on us constantly and fit in as if they were just part of the family. Would definitely recommend Sorella5 and we will be going back for sure!
The owners were warm and friendly with everyone there and the food was absolutely amazing. Best meatballs and gumbo I’ve had in all of NOLA.
Everything was wonderful, but the cheesecake was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! Worth the trip!
Just overall incredible. I'll be back no doubt. Especially for those meatballs!!!
Great restaurant with great food!!! Came here for 3rd Anniversary and was definitely not disappointed. I will surely be back when we visit New Orleans again. Amazing!!!!!
Definitely get the Trio and don’t miss the cheesecake.
The Sorella5 is an awesome family owned spot with a lot of spunk and great cooking. The restaurant is owned and ran by 5 sisters, 3 of which we met and were all very charming and welcoming. The food was delicious and as close to home cooking as you can get. Service was spectacular. Would definitely go back!!
I don't give fives in food unless it an out of this world experience. But food was good, plentiful and dishes consistent. One would think cajun/Italian not a great mix, but amazing!
Friendly Starr, great location and menu.
This is a gem of a restaurant. The food was outstanding and the service splendid. One of the owners can by and talked to me about the origin of the restaurant. Sorella means sister and she is part of 5 sisters that came together and started this business. She is lovely and charming and I wish them all the best.
Friendly staff, good drinks, but a very, very, very limited menu
The restaurant is owned by five sisters and we were personally greeted by one of them. The food and beverages were great and the experience delightful
Absolutely blown away. The sisters were very personable, and the food was to die for. I would come back every night if I could.
I wish I could give Sorella5 10 stars! I included in my reservation that my son was making his first communion and we had a personal menu for him upon arrival. We were greeted by the owner and the entire staff was incredible. The drinks were perfect! I recommend the bubbly molere! The food was delicious. I highly recommend! Thank you sorella 5 for making my sons communion celebration one that he will never forget!
Perfect place for happy hour! Great service, and all the food and drinks were delicious. The ranch dressing that comes on the wedge salad is the absolute best! Love coming to Sorella 5!
AWESOME. AMAZING. The food, atmosphere and service are wonderful. Can’t wait to go back to see the owners and have a meatball! Great bar too.
We were very excited to go. It was our last night in town and we saved it for last! The hostess (one of the sisters) could not have been more delightful and accommodating. The downside? They were 'out' of everything we ordered on the first round. We ended up having to compromise in several areas to finally get something from the kitchen. So - what we had was good, the hostess was awesome. But get there early so you have plenty of menu choices. In fairness, with things just beginning to open up - they may have not been as prepared as they normally would be. Give it a shot. Maybe we were just a bit unlucky.
If you are in New Orleans, come eat here. These 5 sisters have made a welcoming spot with delicious food. And if you are feeling adventurous, start with dessert first. The cheesecake was sooooo good!
Trying a new restaurant in New Orleans can be hit or miss, but my wife saw excellent reviews for "Sorella5". Which was on our way to the French quarter.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by who turned out to be the oldest of the five sisters that owned and ran the restaurant. There were a couple of tables outside and the inside was tastefully decorated and a relaxed atmosphere. We were quickly seated.
The menu consisted of mainly Louisiana style food, from po-boys to gumbo.
While exploring the menu we started off with two perfectly made martinis off their specialty list. My wife's was a cucumber and mine was a lemon basil.
My wife ordered the the trio which consisted of red beans and rice, gumbo and jambalaya. I opted for my first po-boy on our visit and was not disappointed. It was called a surf and turf and it was a combination of roast beef and fried shrimp, topped off perfectly with pan dripping au jus. It is was awesome...
This place is definitely worth a try and if we return back to New Orleans we will definitely give it another visit.
Going To our first Pelicans game!
Brought clients here for lunch. Wonderful service and love that the sisters were there to say hello! Frankie fries were better than any of similar dishes I’ve tasted, with a unique and yummy yummy flavor. I’d go back just for those, but the half shrimp poboy was on point. I’ll definitely be back!
The Sorella sisters were 5 of the loveliest, most wonderful ladies that made our night out incredible. The food was SO good, the cocktails were great and the overall ambiance was fantastic! We will definitely going back.
Family owned, friendly staff. The fried food was excellent, as was the entree salad. All family recipes. In the past we have had the meatballs and spaghetti and cheese bread which are also excellent. Go! You won’t be disappointed.
