The cocktails are slightly priced on the higher end, but the food and quality more than compensate for this.

My granddaughter and I went for lunch. The room is lovely and the view spectacular, the food not so great. I ordered the Caesar salad and the dress did not resemble a Caesar dressing - it was bland and tasteless. My granddaughter ordered the fish and chips and ate only one bite of the fish. She could not eat any more as the fish was extremely “fishy”. We complained to the person who cleared our table and she said she would inform the chef. We also complained to our waitress who said “I don’t like fishy tasting fish either”. In my experience,fish with such an off taste is in the verge of turning. Would not recommend eating here. Poor food and overpriced.

We had a fantastic happy hour. The view is hard to beat. The hamburger was the best I’ve ever eaten. Juicy and loaded with flavour. Barb our server was lovely.

The food was just ok. Small menu, not many choices. Prices were good though. It was quiet, nice atmosphere, but I would not recommend if you have special requests for a special occasion. It was our 13th wedding anniversary and we requested the sky patio ( warm July night ) and a table with a nice view. We were seated inside, so not on the sky patio, and put against a wall lol They also did not seem to know we were celebrating an anniversary ( i guess they dont read the notes on open table reservations) and they also did not ask if we were there for a special occasion. All in all the experience was just ok.

Lovely space and views, great service, and food delicious, although the menu is very limited. They could use about half a dozen additional appetizer and/or main dishes for a more fulsome choice. Also, the sauces on traditional dishes are eclectic (e.g. curry sauce with fish and chips), so be aware and know to ask if you want something on the side or changed.

We had a beautiful celebratory dinner! The food was delicious, service very friendly and the view was stunning! Will definitely recommend it to family & friends and look forward to going back again!

The view was beautiful but the service needs to be immensely improved. 50 minutes for an order of eggs benny and a basic scramble + toast is not acceptable considering there were guests that arrived after and received the identical orders first. Overall, the food was lackluster.

We have had brunch at Sooke Harbour House Three times since its new ownership and dinner Twice. Every time the food has been superb, the service excellent and the ambiance second to none. We really enjoy dining at Sooke Harbour House.
