   To start the location is beautiful, right on the water with views that are unbelievable! The staff are top notch and you are treated first class. The food tasted as good as its presentation!! The management was friendly and welcoming. Hopefully the next time in the area we will also stay at this boutique hotel as l mentioned the location is 5 star and only 45 mins from Victoria!

   Walked out! Not impressed. Had a 7pm reservation. Drove out 40 minutes from Victoria based on some amazing reviews. They were not ready. Three other groups were waiting in the lobby with us who also had reservations. Appeared disorganized and short staffed. To the restaurant's credit they offered everyone waiting a tiny tumbler of sparkling wine. We were finally seated in the dining room 20 minutes later with a printout menu, no wine list and no cocktail list. No genuine apologies. We sat for a few minutes with no one coming to the table. The menu was underwhelming to say the least. We looked at each other and decided to leave. With so many other wonderful restaurants to choose from in Victoria and having experienced some amazing meals and excellent service we decided not to waste another minute in this poorly run establishment.

   High Tea was a beautiful afternoon overlooking a sparkling sea. The sunroom was a welcoming place to enjoy afternoon tea. The service was exceptional not to mention the beautiful menu. The food was not only eye catching with lovely detail but absolutely delicious. If you are wanting to celebrate a special occasion or just treat yourself make a reservation and enjoy!

   Quite a disappointing experience overall. We went for lunch and were very much looking forward to eating there. The place was only half full, but it took just over an hour to bring our meal. The dessert then took over half an hour. Our waitress was fabulous and it didn’t seem to be her fault at all. I think for a premium product, waiting that long and receiving food that was lukewarm was disappointing. Overall I would not eat there again.

   Happy hour (3-5) is a great way to end a day walking the trails in Sooke…. Very friendly staff, good food and wonderful patio overlooking the ocean and the mountains - awesome place to take visitors!

   Sooke Harbour House is a destination experience. It has a beautiful setting with ocean and snow capped mountains - and you might see an otter strolling by! You can park in their lot and take a walk along Whiffen Spit. They have a takeout window for coffee and pastries - we will try it in future. Today 5 of us went for dinner. The place itself is beautiful inside and out. It was a lovely day, so we sat on the patio. They have lovely furniture, artsy heaters and cozy throw blankets, if you feel a chill. We loved the cutlery and dishes! The menus are great and you can enjoy a range of options from 20 range and up. We ordered from the copper room menu and the dining room menu -- that's nice flexibility. The food is really well prepared and presented. The service from the person welcoming you to the dining room staff is attentive and efficient. We will return!

   They just opened the dining room this week for dinner. Perfect night. Clear sky, table for two overlooking the ocean. The server, Emma was amazing. So genuine, well informed on the dishes and a great sense of humour. We shared two “entrees” orange and arugula salad, Fried enoki mushrooms with artichokes - both delicious! Mains: lamb for me, steak Oscar for my beloved. Meats flavourful and cooked perfectly. Nice accompaniments. Shared a bottle of wine - 50% off on Wednesdays, how grand is that? Apple tart tatin, tasty, not sweet. All in all, pretty perfect evening!
