Positives- The food was good, drinks were fun. As soon as the time hit 3p on Sunday the servers became extremely rude. They apply an automatic 20% tip to your bill so they don’t care how they treat their customers. The restaurant is very small inside and a bit cheap looking. It looks best online and social media. The area is crawling with homeless people (some had barely any clothes on) and lots of people with mental illness and drug addiction were hanging out right near the entrance. It is definitely not a safe location. I won’t be returning for the all reasons I stated.

This was my second time at Son & Garden; the staff was friendly, and service was prompt. Our food was on the cold side, but for what we ordered (matcha pancakes and salmon eggs benedict), it didn't entirely take away from the experience. We will likely go again!

Can't say enough good things about this place. We spent the day in SF awaiting our flight to Japan later in the evening and in my brunch Google search we stumbled upon this place. The ambiance was amazing, the drinks amazing, food amazing, service amazing. The food & presentation look exactly like the pics we saw online. I got the pancakes and the Ken doll drink and cotton candy drink. My friend got the "in the forest" one-which was the best one imo. The staff were super nice & helpful. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and we were lucky the place wasn't as packed as we thought it would be because it's truly an IG-worthy spot. I keep thinking about how perfect the pancakes were lol.

Super Instagrammable, food is amazing, and the servers are so gracious. Even though we had a Reso, we still had to wait 20 mins and the parking situation outside is sketchy AF. So be careful coming here and I wouldn’t recommend coming too late (homeless tents and crazies everywhere).

It was tiny, but still cute and the food was amazing! We took our baby in his carrier and they accommodated. The only thing that was unfortunate is that it’s in the middle of a rough part of SF, and we just didn’t feel fully safe or comfortable having to walk to the restaurant but that’s not against the restaurant.

An Instagram worthy place, Son and Garden will give you "Alice in Wonderland" kinda feeling. The adorable, colorful plating sets the tone of this restaurant. With satiating portions, this place will leave you wanting to go back again and again. Their bibimbap is served with 2 large portions of fried chicken enough to be shared by two. The rice is sticky with its own flavors, making a delicious accompaniment for the fried chicken. The lobster benedict is a feast for lobster and shrimp lovers. The mix of eggs and hollandaise sauce along with the lobster and shrimps is a mouthful of joy, and you can't stop eating the humongous portion even if you are full. The country benedict comes with a huge sausage patty and levain bread with perfectly heart-shaped eggs on the top. The son and garden omlette is good and is served with a nice crumbly blueberry scone, not too dry. After hearing a lot about their matcha mochi pancakes, we decided to give it a shot, even though matcha is not my go-to flavor. And rightly so, it's an acquired taste, but for those who like matcha, it is a good option. I doused the pancake in syrup with an effort to lessen the matcha flavor, but little success! My favorite drink is their daintily served lavender spritzer, extremely freshening with subtle flavors of lavender and lemon, perfectly carbonated to give that extra zing. And it doesn't matter if it's a non alcoholic drink, the beguiling potion will certainly make you high and will leave you craving for more. They have a designated area with flowers and a beautiful loveseat sofa for your perfect photo of the day! The servers are pleasant and accommodating. If you are a group of more than 4, do ask for the floral booth in the corner, it's a unique experience, and you won't stop taking photos. The only flip side to this place is the area in which it's located. Parking can be challenging, so make sure you have your Uber or Lyft waiting for you outside. I will certainly be going back here.

If you are In SF area, you definitely need to try this place. The food is delicious and the service was excellent. Definitely a great place to have lunch with family and friends on a Sunday morning. I tried their Ocean panini, it was so delicious, also, I will recommend In the forest drink. I was delighted by this drink, it was flavorful and not sugary at all. They used pure kiwi purée, which made it definitely I must to try. I will say, book your table ahead of time and be ready to take some cool pictures. The decoration is nice too. Full of flowers in pastel tones.

Delightful. Brought my granddaughter for the Barbie tea set. So cool, she absolutely loved it! The food was outstanding and the staff was awesome. They made a huge fuss of her. We had a great time and will definitely return for another special occasion.

The food and staff were wonderful. The only downside is the neighborhood it is in. Parking is limited, and we are lucky our car was not vandalized, broken into, or stolen. If we go again, we'll park in a more secure area and take a rideshare to the restaurant. We want to go back and try some of their other dishes.

Great restaurant decor was very fancy n foo foo my wife loved it. Took plenty of photos at the flower wall. But the food n drinks were amazing I don’t think they would have anything on their menu that wasn’t good and portions were huge. Service was great also I will definitely come back again.

This is my 2nd visit and the food is amazing! The decor is cute and relaxing. The service is average at best. Couldn’t answer a lot of our questions and seemed rush and bothered every time (the 2 times) they came to our table. This won’t stop me from visiting again.

Very small venue done up for instagram style photos, but in person the vibe is not up to par. Feels a bit cramped and the food items are a strange combination of flavors. The pastry items are definitely better than the food itself. Overall kind of a gimmicky place and there’s no special treatment for special occasion. It’s not that I expected any off the bat but because they asked in the reservation, I thought at least the best table or a note would be provided.

Food was excellent, insanely cute dishware, and when we arrived we were the only ones there. Staff was very friendly but it took us almost 45 minutes to get our check and leave, they were just starting to get busy so I assume that’s why this happened. In any case, I am VERY happy to go again next time we are in the area! Highly recommend !
