My first time here and I would definitely go back!
Great tapas, great service. Sitting outside in good weather or at the open windows is a treat!
Authentic Spanish Tapas from the Iberian peninsula. Selections, presentation, taste, and quality are all very good. The outdoor seating was comfortable, felt safe, and staff was welcoming and gracious. The waitress was superb. The dishes arrived in a timely but not rushed manner. Of course return visits will appear on our calendar. Just try Solea; you’ll probably like it - a lot.
Solea exceeded expectations from start to finish. We ordered the salad special, goat cheese appetizer and chicken pallela. All excellent. Can't wait to go back.
Three of us ate outside at Solea last night. Everything as always there was Awesome. The food, drinks, service, atmosphere, and pricing were excellent. The outside seating under umbrellas is so much fun!
I have eaten 10 -20 times over the years and always look forward to my next visit there.
My sister and I brought my 11 year old daughter for a ladies night out. Got outdoor seating for 5 pm, so it was a really quiet start on the well decorated patio. We were all treated so well, and my daughter thought it was so special. Drink were amazing, food was even better. By the time we left around 6:30, the patio was full and vibrant. Loved the whole evening!
We ate outdoors at Solea on a beautiful summer night. The ambience of Moody Street, with all the outdoor tables, strolling passersby, and happy diners was lovely, and reminiscent of street scenes in Europe. All our tapas dishes were delicious and well prepared, except for the untoasted crostata -- clearly a mistake, since one of the three pieces had been toasted and was delightfully crunchy.
Service was competent and friendly, but rushed. Our drink order was entered separately in order to be sure we got our drinks right away; as it turned out, all our tapas dishes came to the table before our drinks got there. Our small table was very crowded with all our dishes on it at once.
I really hope Waltham continues the summer outdoor dining scene and pedestrian-friendly traffic control on Moody Street every summer!
Fun place, great tapas, good and very friendly service
Staff was very friendly, the food excellent and the atmosphere pleasant.
Great time last night. Visiting from out of town . Was there in 2015 and it was as good as I remember!!!!
Great food! Will take all my friends to come visit here. Something on the tapas menu for all and great cocktails! Just note, outside there are no glasses so expect your martini in a water glass. Overall great great food and PLEASE try the duck leg- the sauce is to die for. I talk about that sauce every day
Solea's outdoor space is festive and we'd come back just to experience that almost-vacation feel. Bring sunglasses just in case the sun dips between umbrellas. We shared 3 tapas: Camarones a la Plancha (Grilled Shrimp w/ Spicy Mojo Rojo), Solomillo con Chimichurri (Beef Tenderloin on Toast w/ Spicy Herb Sauce), Lomo de Buey a las Frutas (Beef Tenderloin, Apricots, Prunes & Figs w/ Brandy Cream Sauce). My favorite was the last one but they were all good. The shrimp was spicy!
Celebrated out engagement- our initial plans to go to the north end with our good friends fell through, so we decided to support local instead. We love Solea. Will always repeat there.
Such a cool atmosphere! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was wonderful! I will be going here again!
The cauliflower-brocolli puffs, olives, lamb meatballs, baby lamb chops, grilled shrimp, Spanish omelette, Brussel sprouts, patatas bravas.
Food was outstanding! Fun night with friends.
Service was polite but not intrusive, food was prompt and delicious. We will definitely be going back again
The food was great as usual. We were seated next to a very loud couple so it was noisy. Also, the windows were open, which would usually be okay, but it was very muggy so it was warm and muggy in the restaurant.
Delicious food—an eating experience! accommodated my table preference. Not always a waitress, such as for drinks, but when she showed she gave us menus, took drink orders & was ready for our food order when she brought drinks. Quick to give check when requested. Total taste treat in an hour in & out. Love this place!
Great food! We liked everything we tried. Service was a little slow because the place was packed.
Solea continues as our favorite restaurant. The food and service are excellent. The closest to Spain we can come in the Boston area.
We've eaten here before, and liked it, but this time the food was disappointing and the service was extremely slow.
The food here is phenomenal! Lots of options. We just kept ordering rounds of tapas - 5 at a time for 5 people - ended up with about 13 altogether. The sangria was also flavorful. The staff was friendly and fun. We had a great time.
Food and drink are consistently good, great outside dining option!
$42 for a pitcher of Sangria that was mostly ice. total rip-off
The menu was very limited and not many options. The food was burnt when it came out and the drink of the day, mixed Sangria had a lingering sour after taste. Waiter was good though, very informative.
The intern cocktail was good.
Great selection of tapas and good service.
David was great, food was excellent
So glad a friend recommended Solea! Great variety of delicious small plates. Each could be shared by 2-3 people and hubby and I were well-fed with 5 plates.
Lamb meatballs and the Brussels sprouts were outstanding.
We had not been to Solea since the start of the pandemic, and boy are we glad we came back. After dish was outstanding, along with great Sangria. We will back soon!
Food had some hits and misses. But fun environment-not too crowded or noisy, even on a Saturday night.
The food is amazing and the staff is highly trained and works hard. However, the tables have been wobbly the last few visits, and seats near the windows are very warm. Don't let that cause you to avoid the amazing food!
We had a great waitress and the food was excellent. Never a bad experience!
We love this formula where we can taste different delicious plates. Solea has been one of our destinations for birthdays and anniversaries.
My family went out for dinner, first time in 16 months! We chose Solea and had a wonderful, delicious dinner to share. Loved all of it! My guys had cocktails that woke them up! Very good, polite and friendly service. We will go again.
My wife and I have been to Solea a number of times. The last one was summer 2020 when restrictions were reduced. This time the menu offerings were fewer but fortunately, at least for us, all of our favorite were there - lamb meat balls in cream, sizzling shrimp in garlic sauce, artichoke, mushroom and goat cheese crostini. There were a couple of others as well. The wine list was short, but we found a a bottle of white that we enjoyed. Service was very good and the space between tables was excellent. A really good experience.
The menu is still a bit limited but everything was delicious as always!
Spent a leisurely lunch with a party of 5 outside on a recent sunny afternoon. Food was excellent. Service was just right for our groups comings and goings: attentive without being overbearing.
Food was great and sangria was amazing! We had a wonderful time on the outside patio. Highly recommend for a fun evening of food and drinks!
Amazing place to eat and drink! I little bit noisy because of costumers but the service was incredible.
