Food was great and we loved eating outside. Very nice set up.
Food was fabulous!! We had a meat eater, vegetarian and GF needs. We all found something we loved! Moody Street was blocked off to traffic we sat outside and enjoyed the gorgeous night. Drinks were fabulous as well!
The patatas bravas was a little too spicy for my liking but overall it was a great dinner on the adapted patio.
Nice to be able to dine alfresco. The food was generally very good. The brussels sprouts were really quite bad. Do not buy. Four of us thought they were not even good enough to take home To throw into some other dish. Undercooked. Tasteless. A real disappointment.
Amazing food and amazing experience. Love the outside seating. The service was fabulous
We had a great meal. HOpe, who is the manager, did a nice job of keeping things going and filling in where the staffing shortages are. She was clearing tables, taking reservations and helping the waiters.
Food was excellent!
This is the best tapas experience in the Northeast. The quality and taste of the food is impeccable. Service is on point. Highly recommend!
Solea is wonderful! their tapas are amazing, and the service is always great and friendly. Love this place.
The hostess was very rude and this wasn’t the first time. I’m wondering why they picked someone so grumpy to work as a hostess. So not nice.
One of our favorites. Tapas has something for everyone. The atmosphere is perfect -casual and fun.
Food was good but waitress unfriendly
I enjoyed a glass of Syrah with two items of Tapas.
Solea continues to make great Spanish tapas at a reasonable price. We have dined there for many years and go whenever our want for tapas returns. The wine list is reasonably priced, the service is great and their outside dining is set up well on the Moody Street strip.
Food was not as good as in the past. My favorite item, pork with blue cheese, was off the menu. Excellent cocktail.
We really enjoyed Solea. We tried a couple cocktails and their sangria both were great. The food was delicious and the service very good. Loved the lamb meatballs and the ravioli.
The service was amazing, well all the staff was very friendly. The sangria's were balanced and still had a good alcohol level. I recommend the cordero meat balls, the sauce is so good on its own.
Paella was disappointing. Wouldn’t order it again
Food is always awesome. The outdoor seating is great. It was noisy this time but only because of a rowdy large party next to us.
Other than noise level, this was a great dinner experience - food was awesome, service excellent and timely
Sizzling shrimp a must! The asparagus dish was excellent. The timing of the meal was great thanks to our friendly waitress. We loved our cozy half booth table. Will go again!
I typically shy away from writing negative reviews as I know most restaurants struggle, however the food was unbelievably bad. the only edible dishes were the asparagus and shrimp drowning in butter. the ceviche, the steak with a can of cream of mushroom soup dumped on it, the cold mushroom and artichoke spread on cold store bought bread, were basically inedible. I don't know how this place is in business.
While the ambience and decor is beautiful, I think this is where the owners spent their funds. The food is subpar. The bread that accompanied some of the dishes we ordered tasted like they were bought at Costco and they came out cold. The cheese spread had roasted peppers and they also seemed store bought and were brought in cold. The cheese had a fridge taste. Sangrias were too sugary and not strong. We brought this up to our waiter who only listed the ingredients but, didn't offer to replace it for something else. High prices for below average plates.
Wonderful food, service, and ambience. Loved the tapas and sangria. Will be back for more.
Great tapas and paella. Friendly, knowledgable waitstaff and owners. Lovely outdoor patio. Reasonable prices. Good wine and beer list.
Worth the trip from Boston, with easy parking one block away.
Our server was very attentive and helpful. Water was always kept full and drinks flowed.
While fairly expensive, the food and service is outstanding.
Great spot! Food and sangria was awesome. Easy parking
Sat outside. Tried several tapas selections. Had some sangria. Very nice evening out with good food and service.
Great location with parking available for a fee (except on Sunday when it is free). Food was meh. Garlic shrimp were boiled shrimp thrown in a pool of butter with garlic. No taste. Serrano ham was outrageously delicious and the clear winner of the day. Empanadas tasted store bought. Manager was great. Super attentive and willing to roll up his sleeves in the name os customer service. Assuming it was an off day and I’m a firm believer in second chances so we will go for a round two and try the meats and paella.
Love Solea! Fun atmosphere - Nice people and good Tapas !! It’s one of our regular spots ❤️
My first time here and I would definitely go back!
Great tapas, great service. Sitting outside in good weather or at the open windows is a treat!
Authentic Spanish Tapas from the Iberian peninsula. Selections, presentation, taste, and quality are all very good. The outdoor seating was comfortable, felt safe, and staff was welcoming and gracious. The waitress was superb. The dishes arrived in a timely but not rushed manner. Of course return visits will appear on our calendar. Just try Solea; you’ll probably like it - a lot.
Solea exceeded expectations from start to finish. We ordered the salad special, goat cheese appetizer and chicken pallela. All excellent. Can't wait to go back.
Three of us ate outside at Solea last night. Everything as always there was Awesome. The food, drinks, service, atmosphere, and pricing were excellent. The outside seating under umbrellas is so much fun!
I have eaten 10 -20 times over the years and always look forward to my next visit there.
My sister and I brought my 11 year old daughter for a ladies night out. Got outdoor seating for 5 pm, so it was a really quiet start on the well decorated patio. We were all treated so well, and my daughter thought it was so special. Drink were amazing, food was even better. By the time we left around 6:30, the patio was full and vibrant. Loved the whole evening!
We ate outdoors at Solea on a beautiful summer night. The ambience of Moody Street, with all the outdoor tables, strolling passersby, and happy diners was lovely, and reminiscent of street scenes in Europe. All our tapas dishes were delicious and well prepared, except for the untoasted crostata -- clearly a mistake, since one of the three pieces had been toasted and was delightfully crunchy.
Service was competent and friendly, but rushed. Our drink order was entered separately in order to be sure we got our drinks right away; as it turned out, all our tapas dishes came to the table before our drinks got there. Our small table was very crowded with all our dishes on it at once.
I really hope Waltham continues the summer outdoor dining scene and pedestrian-friendly traffic control on Moody Street every summer!
Fun place, great tapas, good and very friendly service
Staff was very friendly, the food excellent and the atmosphere pleasant.
Great time last night. Visiting from out of town . Was there in 2015 and it was as good as I remember!!!!
