Wow - I just love the food!! EVERYTHING was good and service friendly and timely. Highly recommended!
Great early dinner. Our waiter made several good suggestions. The goat cheese, tenderloin, fritters and empanadas were among our favorites. Very COVID compliant
Overall amazing resteraunt. Our server was great, she was nice and attentive. The food was outstanding! I also had a mocktail that was so delicious and my boyfriend loved his beer and sangria. Overall would come again.
We had the tapas and they were all good. Solea is expensive but I don't mind paying a bit if the food is good and there's is.
The drinks were not good.
We had a lovely meal celebrating new year - several choices each delicious. The sizzling garlic shrimp and baked goat cheese are our faves and must haves. The charcuterie plate was delicious too
Food was excellent. Plates came out so fast. The server was perfect!
Our waitress was amazing and the food was fantastic!
The food and the service were just fine. The food tasted fine. Some of it was rather bland.
Veronica, the waitress was the best. Food very good, some dishes exceeding others. Nice atmosphere!
Solea is the place to go! Loved it, amazing food, service is great and Sangria is just the best!
Overall we liked Solea. The lamb meatballs were a particular favorite. The paella was good but it didn’t have the soccarat that you expect in Paella. There were a lot of choices in tapas so everyone will have something they love.
Our waitress Olivia was fantastic . Some dishes were very good . The Brussel sprouts were awful . I spent a lot of money for not much food . The female manager was very nasty .
Solea is back to their pre-pandemic quality. A delight to eat there.
Loved our experience. Sangria was amazing. Food was delicious and server was super nice
Food was top notch as always. We even ordered some extra to go so we could have it again for lunch the next day!
Was not to busy so service was quick. Tapas were good as was Paella. Server attentive.
We are foodies who eat at top restaurants frequently, and we were thrilled to rediscover an old favorite Solea. Even better than our good memories, everything about it was top notch. We were swooning over some of the tapas, particularly the apricot lamb lollipops, broccoli and cauliflower fritters (very elevated fritters), and artichoke ravioli in lagoustine sauce. Still remains the jewel restaurant of Waltham for 15+ years now.
Hadn't been there in years and forgot how really tasty their food is!
I didn’t hate anything but I also wasn’t impressed by anything. Their main selling point is volume which is not what you are looking for at a tapas place. The flavor and creativity just wasn’t there. The sangria pitcher we got was jolly rancher sweet. We ordered the flan at the very end and it was curdled. Very curdled. Overall, I would not go back and I would not recommend. The service was great though!
Great place, location, atmosphere and food! We’ll be back.
Very good food and overall experience. Very busy Friday night so wait staff was stretched and attentiveness spotty. Will go back again for sure
Amazing food!!!! We love Solea. My mother-in-law who is from Latin America said it reminded her of her favorite foods from childhood.
Me and my guests found the service and food outstanding.
I have not been to Solea in years. However, the restaurant did not disappoint. I once again enjoyed the rich and flavorful dishes that left me feeling warm and happy. New favorite- warm Chocolate lava cake. Not to sweet, not to rich, just perfect for sharing with a warm cup of coffee on a cool fall night. Can’t wait to go back!
Solea continues to be our TAPAS RESTAURANT of choice in the United States. Since we caannot get to Spain on a regular absis, Solea is a great substitute. Greaat food, greaat variety, and pretty good service.
Great food. Tapas were excellent and came out fast. Service was very attentive. Great place for a date night!
The food was delicious, hot and very promptly served. The staff were warm and helpful. There was plenty of distance between tables, so we felt comfortable dining indoors. I would definitely recommend it for diners who may have concerns about dining inside.
Celebration of a birthday and a successful PhD defense. Thanks so much for making our night special!
Veronica provided delicious recommendations. Her service was excellent that made for an amazing night out. The food was excellent. Highly recommend!
We've been to Solea a few times - always great. We were able to sit outside, as the weather was nice, and they had gas heaters over the tables as well. The owner stopped by the table to chat, which to me means they are paying attention.
Fabulous food and drink as always. Good recommendations from our waitress. You should be prepared for a moderately high bill, but I find it worth it.
Terrific tapas in the heart of restaurant row in Waltham. Plentiful outdoor seating, attentive service and a gracious host. Can be a little on the louder side outdoors with street traffic but a great and relaxed meal. Ate here two months ago with a similar experience.
Lamb meatballs are amazing, Duck delicious. I've tried so many tapas and they are all awesome. Staff super friendly!
Food never fails
Opportunity for improvement. Lamb meatballs good. Artichoke and mushroom on bread would be better warm. Flavors good. Grilled shrimp also served hot.
Very disappointed! We ordered and all of the food came to our table within 5 minutes which made us wonder how fresh the food was, if it had just been sitting there waiting to be served. The dishes were average if at best. The fritters were cold, the beef on crunch toast was actually beef on soggy bread, the brussel sprouts were not even cooked, and the sizzling shrimp came to us "not" sizzling in a bowl of oil.
It was a real disappointment to say the least. The ambiance was nice but I would not go back. Too bad because this restaurant used to be really good.
Food was amazing. Large variety from vegetarian, fish, lamb, etc.
The food and drinks were amazing! The chef did a stellar job at layering the flavors so that you were continually surprised and satisfied throughout the meal. Our flavor palates were challenged and electrified. What a great night!
One of our absolute favorite places to grab a bite to eat. The staff is always wonderful and accommodating , and the food is delicious.
