We arrived for our reservation on time and we were seated right away. It took 15 minutes for a waiter to come and take our drink order and over an hour for our food to arrive. The food quality was as terrible as the service. While we were waiting many of the staff members were joking with the manager. The manager proceeded to use the wall as a scratching post for his back. You can tell that the staff are poorly trained and the manager want to be the “fun guy” instead of making sure the restaurant is running. A single taco was $12-$15 without sides, which wouldn’t be a big deal if the food was good. This was one of the worst meals I have had in a very long time. We ate at this restaurant years ago while we were in town and felt it was worth revisiting. I don’t know if they sold, expanded, or what but it was not a good experience. You can have better food, service and atmosphere at a fast casual restaurant for half the price. We won’t be coming back.

I’ve been coming to Sol for years and after our meal last night, it has gone completely down hill. The meal tasted like it was from an airport restaurant… the steak burrito had barely any meat and was all black beans (literally 95% beans), the salad was so sad and seemed like everything came out of a can. No flavor whatsoever. Fajitas had such a small serving of chicken. This used to be our favorite restaurant in OC and we are so disappointed. Hopefully feedback kicks the restaurant back to their potential.

It was ok..food wasn’t up to par. They had ran out of michelada mix which is strange cuz it’s a Mexican restaurant. Service was good but food didn’t match the location.

Restaurant is filthy. Needs cleaning and updating. Hot and no air circulation. Smelled like stinky feet and felt like you could catch a disease or germs there.

We loved the outdoor patio and enjoyed Taco Tuesday at Sol Cocina! Our server forgot two orders but it was nicely remedied. Lovely ambiance and friendly service!

Our reservations were for 7. We arrived early but we were not seated until 7:35. They seated us outside in the parking lot. When we asked to be moved inside, they said there was nothing available. Funny because there were at least 5 tables open. I ended up calling Tavern Kitchen and Drink and went there for dinner. Not sure if I will go back to SOL.

Wow!!! The quality for this place went down so tremendously. The food was horrible. The service was ok. What a disappointment. I’ll never return to this place.
