We had very bad experience with this restaurant from the start, the seating host was rude, they ran out of steak I had to order chicken and felt like it was cooked from leftovers, the server was good,
I can’t recommend it to anyone,

What an amazing Sunday brunch. From the food to the staff, to the live music. Best Sunday I can remember. I highly recommend. This place does not disappoint.

The drinks were awesome, most of the food was very good. Sadly our waiter didn’t ask how we wanted our eggs prepared on our brunch items. And sadly we felt rushed and as if we were a burden to him.

SOL did a remarkable job of single handedly ruining date night for my wife and I. We live super busy lives and rarely get the chance to step away from jobs and kids to go for a date. Saturday night we had the opportunity to do just that. Seeing that SOL accepts reservations through 11:30pm, we made a late night date reservation for 10:45. We left our home early for the 30 minute drive, excited to spend some well needed alone time over some good food and drinks. Unfortunately the freeway was closed on the way over resulting in us arriving 10 minutes late for our reservation.

The hostess was sure to let us know we were late and went to speak to the manager before seating us. Upon returning she let us know that the manager said the kitchen closes at 11 and we won’t be served food (notice the time difference, it wasn’t even 11pm). I tried explaining the situation and that we made the reservation through OT and reservations are available through 11:30pm. She apologies and let us know that it’s a known issue and they’re trying to fix it.

What?! You know your partner allows customers to make reservations after or close to when the kitchen closes and you didn’t call us to inform that even if we arrived on time we wouldn’t be served??

I’ve never, ever left a bad review before, but it was such an unremarkable experience and it really felt like no one there cared. Please fix the reservation times and don’t screw up date nights.

Pros: Great, fresh food and spicy habanero sauce (some larger mex restaurants have bland, unspicy salsa so this was awesome for us fire breathers). Friendly waiter and a manager who walked around speaking with with guests and thanking us for our visit. Super cold Modelo Negras served in the bottle along with tasty Cadillac Margaritas. Had a 7pm reservation for our 24th wedding anniversary and was promptly seated.

Cons: the Pit Bull looking overweight bald manager in a suit asked if we were open to moving tables so a party of twenty Newport frat boys could have room to run up a giant bill on their daddy's credit card. Pit Bull offered a "complimentary appetizer" to switch tables. Paleaze PB. In the middle of our meal on our anniversary you come up with this. And he didn't even say "I understand, enjoy your meal", he just walked away. Beyond rude and he should be fired asap. Frats were seated in the back in the dark where they belonged and us beautiful people remained in our seats.

Speaking of which, won't eat outside in the parking lot again. No ambience and you see the waiting area where hungry people stand staring at you to gauge when you are leaving...no privacy. Seating is like a cafeteria. Is what it is with covid restrictions, but will not go back to Sol until the inside is open. Hopefully don't have to ever see Pit Bull again unless he undergoes major customer service training which would likely take years for him to learn anything. Wake up, PB!

Sat for almost twenty minutes and was not even approached by any server. Table was broken couldn’t even get someone to fix it. Got up and left after being ignored. Spoke to manager
On duty, and they didn’t even seem to care. Offered us a free appetizer. We left and went to a nearby restaurant who told us they have heard the same complaints.

Server was overwhelmed but food quality and ambiance were great. Covid 19 precautions in place. Our server had a large party so we felt forgotten and had to flag server down multiply times for things such as silverware, water, napkins, a menu (we were only given one menu) to order a dessert, to get the check. The ambiance is very fun and food quality is fresh and flavorful. Dessert came out frozen but otherwise the chips, salsa, and main courses were excellent. 4/5 stars because of service. Hostesses are friendly, and very popular place.
Would I dine here again, probably not just because we like to be waited on and not have to ask for everything.

Birthday celebration. We had a reservation. Once we were seated we had good service and food was good. Our pineapple margarita didn’t taste very pineapple but the bartender fixed it.

This restaurant is not what it used to be. We used to love the barbacoa, but they changed the recipe and it's terrible, and super salty. I don't know if the ownership changed, but it's a shame because we used to love this place. We'll go to Javier's from now on.

Guacamole & salsa was just kinda meh, taco quality left room for improvement. Lots of taco choices, but after having tried several over 2 separate dinners... none suggest I return. Location is great and otherwise makes up for other items... food needs to be great.

Excellent dining experience "Maxmilio" (I think?) was a very attentive server. Food was perfectly cooked as described on menu and full of flavor. We are from Riverside and this was our first time visiting "Sol" but we will surely return.

I used to love this place. Unfortunately, nothing is like what I remember. The service was awful, I made a reservation for 6:30 and wasn't seated until 7:30 for a party of 2. It is clear their outdoor dining allows for more patrons then the kitchen can support. The food was awful and I tried to speak with the manager and he laughed and made light of the situation and didn't even hear me out.

My family and friends have been going to Sol for the past three months nearly every Tuesday night for taco Tuesday. It’s AMAZING. I love this place. The manager, Kevin who I have recently met, pulls out the red carpet. He is personable and very helpful. The valet service is also hospitable, professional and always pleasant. I highly recommend the sweet potato tacos! Wowza.

We ordered Cadillac margaritas and found that they were very watery and didn’t seem to have much alcohol at all let alone the Grand Marnier that we would expect in that drink.
