   Excellent and favorite place. We are sorry to see the closure, but happy that we could enjoy a final meal there.

   Soif never disappoints. We entered with anticipation of this being our last visit to what has been a wonderful community gem. We are so sorry the restaurant is closing, but the establishment will live on as a Wine Bar and retail for an eclectic and very special location to sample and purchase extraordinary wines. We encourage all who read this to definitely make Soif a destination.

   The best restaurant in Santa Cruz (followed by La Posta). It will be sorely, sorely missed.

   Unfortunately, Soif is closing this month, so we had to go one last time.wine options were excellent. Parpadelle noodles and sauce were perfect along with wonderful cauliflower soup as first course. A little chilly...even with heat lamps outside.

   This is a beautiful restaurant about to close. The service has always been over-attentive, the food over-priced with tiny portions. The wine list does not impress me and last night they were pouring 2 ounce classes at a minimum of $14. I will miss it for the Monday night gypsy jazz performances featuring oysters. Sad to see it close for that!

   The restaurant was very cold. I had to keep my parka on. The oysters were a bit fishy which should never happen. The cod and pasta were very good but more like appetizer portions versus entree portions. The food is extremely expensive for the size of the portions. The wine was fantastic. We had 3 drinks not a bottle. Overall, we had a nice time but left hungry and $200 poorer.

   New Years. Portions a bit small for some dishes but not all. Outside needs a tent and I do understand these are trying times. The steak was amazing!!! The squab was missing seasoning and some richness.

    Lovely restaurant and atmosphere. The menu is adventurous yet cozy. Enjoyed the food with the recommended wine pairings. The staff was great. Definitely drink lots of wine here!
