   SoCo is a fantastic place for anyone who enjoys good food, good service and an awesome location. Service is impeccable and friendly, ambiance is unrivaled and it is a great place to catch up with friends. Small and private, not a loud and crowded urban restaurant.

   It was terrific although the fact that Open Table dropped this restaurant 1 week before our reservation left me scrambling to secure another reservation as I had to wait 3 days for the restaurant to make reservations available on a new website. I was a hassle but worth it.

   We saw the story about SoCo on UNC channel & knew we had to try it, we were not disappointed. The service was great & each course was explained in detail. All was great, we will go back & also send our friends.

   The food and service is outstanding. The portions are small but delish. Wine selection is great ,by the tasting/pair pours are adequate also short. Atmosphere is quite country and well appointed. Value ? 200 plus I think is much for a two person dinner, but with only a few tables and open two days a week you got to make it up somewhere.

   The short rib dish was bland but the pumpkin curry dish was fantastic. Great wine!

   This was my first visit. Two seating at 6pm and 8pm. Got thee a bit early and enjoyed sitting a beautiful bar and enjoying a bottle of wine. Meal was four courses. Two main course selections including a vegetarian option. I got the vegetarian which included some local heirloom beets. Excellent service. Food was very good. Excellent ine list, very nice atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

   Eastern NC is so much more than fast, fried food. SoCo illustrates that local dining is diverse, creative, and amazingly delicious. The owners and staff are in love with the food of eastern NC and showcase it in a variety of "food cultures" that allow guests to enjoy local combined with exotic. A fantastic venue for delicious food with gracious hosts.

    Absolutely great service and great food. The owner will give you a story with each paired wine and why she recommends it. The pairings and food are great for a night out!
