Easter Brunch at the Belgrove was a magical occasion with terrific food, a wide and eclectic variety for all tastes, and delicious desserts. Everything was perfect!! The Belgrove made this Easter one to remember!!

During our visit, I ordered the four cheese pizza, but was initially served the wrong one. While our server did correct this after I pointed it out, the main course presented an even more frustrating situation. I had ordered the Prime Ribeye but was first served a sirloin. After mentioning the mistake, the dish was taken back—only to be replaced with a filet mignon, which was also not what I ordered. At that point, rather than continue going back and forth, I decided to accept the filet and move on with the evening. Still, it was a disappointing experience, especially considering our excitement about trying the restaurant.

Just keep in mind that the veranda reservation on OpenTable means you are getting the Bacaro menu; not the Society 48 menu. It was excellent though! We loved the steak tartare and the pizza. A little pricey, but not overly so for a resort. Only downside was people smoking by the nearby fire pits.

There are limited indoor options for food at the Belgrove. Most seating seems to be on the Veranda. Not sure what will happen if it storms. But I digress. This restaurant is very nicely decorated however, there is no wall or noise barrier separating the bar area and dining room. If you were looking for a quiet romantic evening, this isn’t the place. The bar has tvs with sports on in addition to the loud music. During our meal someone turned the bright lights on and everyone was a little stunned after sitting in the dim lighting. The manager asked the bar to turn the music down at least twice that I saw and yet people were having to raise their voices to hear each other. I’m not going to say it was a totally unpleasant experience because the food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Just letting you know what to expect noise wise. It seems like the veranda was much quieter, so in hindsight we might’ve chosen that option. This is a beautiful property but $$$. Once the new kinks get worked out, it will be worth the stay. I also think the prices were a little high for the atmosphere we dined in.

We live in the Lands of the President and thought we would take a walk and try lunch at the hotel. On our way we were informed by a n individual in a golf cart that we couldn’t walk to the hotel. Must drive to the hotel. Seems ridiculous since the place is 900 feet away. He did let us continue. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated outdoors. Food was very good as well as the service. Not busy. Beware of ordering wine as what was thought to be a $16 glass of Chianti turned into $29. Also, mandatory use of a vehicle will cost you as well. A very pricey lunch experience. Although convenient, not a great neighborhood place to dine.

Society 46 is awesome. Dinner special tonight was steak and two lobster tails. Also had the foie gras. Plating is very visually attractive and service is top notch. Excellent variety on the wine list. Desserts were super good! We couldn’t decide if we liked the cheesecake or key lime pie better. Our server Elena (sp?) was charming and super. Rose at the bar is a gem!

It was a great dining experience. Amazing resort and wonderful restaurant. Our server was very professional and caring.(I am so sorry , I forgot her name ) Food was super delicious. Enjoyed each and every item we ordered.
