The wings were great
My husband and I went for Valentine's Day and had the prix fixe menu. Each course was fantastic and the wine pairing was excellent. Excited to go back and try more on their menu

Melissa was awesome! Great food! Great service! Ambience was perfect! Much more than I expected from a hotel restaurant. I’d go again in a heartbeat.
Service was friendly but slow. Not enough staff working on a busy concert night. Burnt 2 out of 2 burgers, which were $16 each and almost inedible. They did give us free desert, which was great.
Usually pretty wary of hotel restaurants but it was 9 degrees outside and didn’t feel like venturing to far. Glad we gave it a try well worth it. After a small glitch with Manhattan on the rocks instead of up it was spot on. They comped all 3 of our drinks. Chicken Sandwich and house chips were steaming hot and delicious. Wings had a mustard Carolina sauce also very good will definitely be coming back
Our waitress was exemplary and went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied. We were seated outside of what appeared to be the normal dining area, and I would add that it seemed odd. However, our waitress made sure we received her full attention, which distinguishes this place from others.
Engagement dinner for son
This is a great spot for any occasion. The food was amazing and the service was perfect! This was our first time there, and we will surely be back! After we left, we raved about our experience to all our friends, and will continue to do so in the future! Thank you for an amazing NYE dinner!!!
The salmon and charcuterie was great! A little to hard to locate within the Marriott.
Had a fantastic meal at Society 1854. The menu clearly reflected the talent of Chef Jon Seymour and lived up to his reputation. The service was fantastic. We were especially delighted at the staff’s knowledge and willingness to accommodate our need to be gluten-free.
We were only a small party of 6 for thanksgiving dinner (usually its closer to 20, so perspective) and we wanted a nice dinner but didn’t want to clean up! I saw the advert on Facebook for their dinner. It was everything and more than we imagined dinner to be! Our waitress Melissa was attentive when my dad asked dietary concerns, she was patient as we asked questions. She had a few full tables of hungry people to take care of but she never made us feel we were bothering her! The sweet potatoe dish with cranberries and meringue was so yummy! The turkey was well done, stuffing actually real real mashed potatoes! For those that don’t do turkey- the prime rib was cooked to perfection! The best part was it is served family-style AND you get to take the LEFTOVERS HOME! Well packed and not in those awful styrofoam packages! I hear they have a breakfast and a BRUNCH on Sundays!! I think we will have a standing reservation for brunch and next thanksgiving!! Thanks to everyone for a great dinner (2 1/2 hours of yummy food!) and the time for naps afterwards!
Thanksgiving Buffett was overpriced at 50 a person, including children.

First time there, excellent! Wil was out waiter and he was exceptional and were all the staff there including he management.
We were beyond impressed with Society 1854! Melissa was our server and she was absolutely incredible! Which is why we came back for dinner the next night. 2 nights in a row, we had all different items each night, and it far exceeded our expectations. Nancy at the hostess stand was incredible too! Thank you for making a work trip extra special and we will be back again soon! We are now super excited to travel into Omaha for work and dine with the wonderful staff here.
Our experience at Society 1854 was both pleasant and enjoyable. We dined there before heading to the Holland Center for the Gladys Knight concert. Our host, Jon was exceptional and his meal suggestions were an absolute homerun!
If I had any criticism to offer at all, it would be about the coffee. I asked for a decaf but I suppose what was heard was a French press. Not a disappointment to the evening but at $8.00 a cup, I would have skipped that.
Really good food but amazingly poor service. It took 20 minutes for cocktails to arrive after waiting 10 minutes to be greeted and order them. We had eaten our appetizers before the cocktails arrived. The waitstaff wandered around with our appetizers and then again with entrees, trying to find which table they went to, even after we raised our hands and tried to help direct them too our table.
Would go back for the food if I had 2 hours to kill and would plan to get up from the dinner table to order any drinks at the bar.
Had a reservation but got there 15 minutes late but they still sat us right away. The meal was very but they seem slightly understaffed. As to ambiance I was expecting a little bit more. Just seemed more casual then I was hoping for but still the food was good and my date was pleased.
This was the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had on Open Table. Food was mediocre at best and served cool. Service was slow and was always explained with an excuse. The restaurant was near empty as it should have been. The food and service may have been good at one point in time, but was subpar on the evening we dined. The only positive is the dinner rolls were fresh from the oven.
Do not spend your evening at this location -- this was a terrible experience (bad food, poor service). Later in the evening we stood at the bar and were never served even after 2 bartenders said they would be right with us next.
Very good food. Great taste and presentation. Go there knowing it’s not a economic meal but one you will remember fondly.

Great little restaurant in the Marriott Downtown Omaha. Small menu done very well.
Table location by the window was quite nice. Could be very noisy. Had low expectations but experience was pleasant.
We dined two consecutive weekend evenings-early, pre-symphony. Both times we were the only ones in the restaurant, same waitress. Our food came out at different times so first my husband ate and then I did. She forgot the soup, had to be reminded twice, he only ordered that and an appetizer. Most likely won’t return. Food was good but not amazing.
We waited 30 minutes for a cocktail and a glass of wine. The menu was set because of a concert which was not indicated upon reservation. We had a hamburger that was salty and inedible. There is no excuse for a restaurant which is high end and a bar across from a large event venue to be so ill prepared for a crowd.
Arrived for our 10:45 reservation for the Mother’s Day Brunch. Our table wasn’t ready so the host had to accommodate us over at Burdock + Bitters (bar area) instead. We grabbed several of the hot food items from the buffet line. The roasted chicken rice pilaf, mashed potatoes and braised beef cheek stroganoff were all cold. Lukewarm food I would tolerate but at $40 per person, cold food is unacceptable. We went back in line and waited at the made to order omelette station. The chef was great and the omelette fantastic. Our server Dustin was exceptional and apologized about the cold food items as he cleared plates from the table. Dustin said he would speak to both the chef and manager about our food. A manager stopped by our table and quickly mentioned how buffet food items temperature can vary.
1. We arrived at our reserved time and had to sit in the bar area.
2. Multiple hot food entrees were cold and inedible.
3. Manager did not properly rectify the situation for 2 obviously disappointed customers.
I’m greatly disappointed by my first visit to the Marriott and Society 1854. We left brunch hungry and unsatisfied after paying full price.
It's a beautiful space but something is off. At 7:00 we were only 1 of 2 tables occupied. Pork belly and grits as a starter were rich and delicious. Ordered a soup that was the special and got the potato leek instead. The waiter screwed up and offered to make it right but we were happy to share the potato leek. My husband ordered a chicken thigh sandwich and it was the largest piece of thigh I've ever seen with a potato salad as his side; lots of food. I ordered the wagyu steak and it was maybe 6 ounces with a weird potato "cube" that may have been larger than my steak and 2 tiny grilled green onions; it was a bizzare plating, wish I had taken a picture. Would have loved a vegetable. Most likely won't go back unless before an event at the Century Link.
Quite possibly,one of the worst restaurants for both service and food. Four of the beers that we tried to order were out/unavailable as of 8:30. The server didn’t offer samples of any other options but brought out a “similar” beer. We tried to order another and were told it was also the last one available-make it 5 out of 5 beers on their menu unavailable! The meal was served prior to finishing our appetizers. The meal was “ok to fair.” The server cleared the meal by picking up all the silverware and then the plates?!! I could offer more but I will leave it with saying “ choose another restaurant.”
Surprisingly well-prepared, thoughtful food for a restaurant inside a hotel. Pork belly and grits, and the deviled eggs were beautifully plated and delicious. The bar offers a nice variety. Our waitress was friendly, but she didn't know the bar menu very well. This was a nice place to stop by for a late-night bite. We look forward to returning.
We showed up early and were grateful that they were able to seat our party outside of the main bar where there was a lot of noise. We were celebrating a special occasion, and there were six of us. My husband asked about the special that was presented as a 14oz ribeye steak, he asked if the meat was 'prime' or 'choice', and asked to have a different item if it was not 'choice'. The server did not follow up with the answer to his question, and he was served the steak (that was not prime), it wasn't bad but was not what he had expected. He had ordered a different side than what was offered with the special which did not come out with the meal so we had to ask for it. Everyone else in the party enjoyed their meals, but it was nothing special. Despite being placed in a corner it was loud and difficult for two people in the party to participate in conversations (despite using their hearing aids).
Super quiet, which was perfect for me and my sister. Menu and beer list changes often, so be sure to ask what the latest & greatest is. Food was perfect and we'll be back.
Terrific craft cocktails. Menu reflected current local seasonal items. Well prepared, flavorful.
Food was ok-nothing extraordinary to write home about considering the price & other gems in Omaha. Appetizers were small for the price-3 deviled egg halves was just weird & small for an appetizer. What did they do with the other half an egg...just weird. And awkward to share with a table of 8. Service was good.
Amazing food and drinks, one of Omaha's best
We were visiting from Los Angeles. I loved the ambiance and service. The steaks were terrific. It was a bit pricey, but overall a wonderful experience.
From the moment we entered the staff was very pleasant and very inviting.
The Easter brunch not your typical ham and scalloped potatoes.
All the food and desserts very good.
We did not feel rushed, had great service and food.
Both Chef Hockenberry and Chef Seymour did themselves proud for their first time event like this.
Think we started a new Easter tradition, we will be back when in the area again.
