Based on our first experience dining at this restaurant, we were so looking forward to celebrating my husband’s birthday here. Our experience this time compared to the first time left much to be desired. The service was so bad. The server gave us the impression we were an inconvenience; the food runners were rude and got huffy when we asked for the plates to be cleared before desert came. It took 20 min after the check was dropped off before the server came to collect the money. Honestly, I will seriously have to rethink whether I’d go back a third time.
The outdoor patio is pleasant, and the food is good. The service is slow, but this deficit is a positive if one wants to sit and visit and time is not an issue. I have dined here for lunch twice. Each was a 2 hour affair.
Excellent food and service.
We went for Sunday brunch. The food was great as were the lobster tater tots & deviled eggs.
The sushi was okay at best. We ordered a dish with scallops and one of the scallops had gone bad they did react well and offered additional scallops or a free dessert, did not offer to take the price off the plate. The lighting in the building is a little off-putting creates a lot of glare. Overall service was pretty good. For our experience and the food we got we felt the prices are quite high.
Love this place. The food is always great and the service outstanding. Caroline was our server and was very friendly and attentive. They have the best happy hour around with great food and drink specials. Smokin Fins in Arvada is always my go to place whenever I meet up with friends.
The happy hour is the best! Great food and amazing drinks. Can’t wait to go back.
Always amazing food! The service was now as good as it normally is however it was a busy night!
They followed all the covid protocols. We had lots of space indoors, all wore masks, I felt very safe pandemic-wise.
The dinning room was unkept floor was not clean. The atmosphere was too loud it felt more like a sports tavern.
My drink, a moscow mile, way too tart too much lime juice I requested a replacement. Our server was nice but dropped our food when she was carrying it out to our table we had to wait too long to eat. The food was average. The muscles were over cooked and had too much seasoning on them it overwhelmed the natural flavor. Not a good experience I do not recommend this establishment.
We had a great time.
Once we located the entrance - not an easy feat - we found the entire experience delightful.
The only thing better than sushi is half-price sushi, so the happy-hour buy one get one half off deal made our day.
The fish and chips were a trip back to the UK and the dish called shrimp scampi was delicious, although it was more like a fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp than a scampi.
The desserts were delicious. The only issue was, if you are going to go to the trouble of making such wonderful desserts in-house, you should spend the extra 90-seconds to make real whipped cream to go with them. ReddiWhip is a poor substitute and detracts from the awesomeness of the rest of the plate.
Four adults, sushi for two, two entrees, two desserts, and drinks - at about $50 per person, including tax and a 20% tip for our fabulous waitress.
All of the food was excellent. This restaurant is a cut above any seafood place we have eaten at in Denver. I would say the steak is more average, but all the seafood appetisers and the Haliibut in particular was superb. 10/10 will frequent this restaurant. Also great service, easy parking.
Really good menu with a wide variety. Enjoyed our first night night in awhile and plan to visit again.
This place is the best!
Great bottomless mimosas. And brunch was real good
Great all around dining experience every time - never disappoints!
Freshest ingredients. Food is always cooked perfectly and served hot!
The only place in Arvada that has great oysters. Along with a super menu. Highly recommend this restaurant .
The food was good if not a bit over "sauced". Wait staff we attentive and responsive. Biggest complaint was the noise level. With barely 25% occupancy it was SUPER LOUD.
Our overall experience was great! The one drawback was that the lights were very dim at our corner table- so much so that we needed to use the flashlights on our phones to read the menu. The food was great as was our server. We enjoyed the Happy hour offerings too!
Great place! Server was kind, attentive and knowledge. Good food, good atmosphere, relaxing fun walk in to leaving. Highly recommend!
Delicious food, great service.
So accommodating when we asked to eat outside- always delicious food and friendly service.
Service and food was great and the restaurant week menu seemed to be a good value with lots of food.
Nice place! We will revisit!
The tables were well spaced with great air flow. I will return. Nathan, our waiter, did an amazing job with humor AND attention to detail. Thanks for the three dollops of ketchup!
Excellent, as always. The food was delicious and we had lots of room to socially distance.
I highly recommend smokin’ Fins. I’ve been there a number of times and have tried several different items on the menu, everything I’ve had has been delicious!
Dads birthday and waitress kept forgetting to bring him his drink.. so that took a bit.. but otherwise nice visit. Love the food here
Mac and Cheese Lobster was way too spicy, Waitress brought our bread at end of meal about 45 min late. Had to comp it. Glass pour of wine looked like a 3 oz pour for $10.0??? Really ? Venue was nice inside. Steak Ribeye was ok, nothing over the top.
Prime rib Blackened was great. Best on the table.
Absolutely loved everything we had! Great prices and great service.
It has become my favorite restaurant I never get tired of the food and every time I go I try something new and I'm never disappointed best thing that ever happened in my culinary world
Wow tried something other than the "go to" the halibut wasn't a mistake, food was fantastic, awesome cocktails, a couple of trains made it hard to hear and fall temps meant a heavier coat...otherwise AMAZING!
was a bit colder than what we anticipated. staff was great about finding us a table inside.
Fantastic will be back!
Service was outstanding and the food was excellent.
Aside from the portion of my appetizer being about half of what I remembered from ordering it many times previously it was a good experience.
Excellent service and experience on the back patio. The only downside (and it’s completely out their control) is the occasional commuter train that passes by, but a friend mentioned that it was quieter on the front patio with the trains. Great deal for lunch, too! I’ll definitely have to come back soon.
Our waiter John was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent and the ambiance was very nice as well. Can’t wait to go back again!
