The 64 cover Smokey Tails restaurant will offer lazy lunches and Midwest weekend brunches, with a snack menu of ‘hand to mouth’ food served throughout the adjoining bar area. And weather permitting, every Sunday will play host to an outdoor BBQ brunch. The restaurant’s wooden decked sun terrace overlooks one of London most iconic and leafy squares, famous for a long history of food, art and culture. Smokey Tails, known for its rich, deep, home styled BBQ flavours inspired by the home-cooked food Seth grew up with, invites you to experience what they are calling ‘Midwest modern’. They’ll be mixing the hearty family food they have become known for with sharing plates, exotic salad combos, insanely good sides, sumptuous deserts and carefully fashioned cocktails. The dinner menu expands upon the pop-ups formula of dirty, delicious, finger-licking food that delves into Seth’s three generation old family recipe book, drawing on authentic Midwestern cuisine.

Visited with friends for the bottomless brunch. Food and fizz flowed freely and was served by fabulous friendly waiting staff! Excellent day out -thanks, we will be visiting again!

Had the bottomless brunch, good value, good food and plenty of drinks!! Felt staff could have been a little more attentive as had to get their attention for service when it wasn't particularly busy, but very pleasant staff despite this! Would recommend.

Smokey Tails was a brilliant brunch! First impression was not good, we waited 15 minutes to be served and then when receiving our first glass of prosecco from the bottomless deal, it did not appear that anyone would be filling us up and we ended up watiing 10 minutes for our next glass., which did not put us at ease and was very frustrating. Following that they then did there very most to make it up and due to them being busy gave us the bottles instead which was far easier. The food is very good and it is brilliant that you can order all three options, all which are brilliant! Atmosphere was incredible once we were half an hour in and everyone as well as the waitors/waitresses were all having fun and getting involed. Despite the bad start I would highly recommend! I would go back if they changed their menu so that I could try some other dishes and have a difference experience.

Due to a concert on next door the Kitchen was over busy and we waited an hour for our food. However, the staff were brilliant and kept us informed once they realised it may take a while and the food was worth the wait

So many BBQ's these days so you have to be good. Liked the theme here and the simple menu. Everything was tasty.

Ordered half the menu, had enough leftovers for the following day. The fried chicken was the best i've ever had. The ribs were HUGE. Great service and food came out quickly.

Rustic, home cooked style dishes. Dipping sauces have room for improvement. For example, its spicy mayo tastes like its chipotle sauce mixed with mayo. I'd suggest something more creative. The charred flavours of BBQ ribs were spot on but does not particularly stand out from the other new American style BBQ restaurants that have opened in London. I'd suggest that they have two options for diners to chose between boneless and bone-in fried chicken. At the moment they only serve boneless. Given that most of its dishes are typically eaten with hands, I'd suggest some wet wipes too or even a finger bowl to clean our fingers.
