Great place for a birthday celebration!! A guaranteed good time, good food, good service!
Great steaks always as good meal it's my favorite steak restaurant
Steak was great. Sides were mediocre at best. Dessert was very disappointing. The cake was dried out. It had the texture that the slices had been pre-cut and air had reached the edges. Smith and Wollensky could not compete w/ Echo and Rigg
Our waiter Jessie was great. Everything arrived perfectly on time!
Amazing food in a very stylish and unique environment.
It was all good but my husband made a note of anniversary/special occasion on the reservation AND went by the restaurant earlier in the day to also tell them. I guess he expected something special to happen over the evening like our server mentioning something or a complimentary dessert. But nothing transpired so he was a tad disappointed. But overall a wonderful dinner!
Good food, great service! Yummy dessert
Literally the best steak I have ever had in a restaurant. We shared a tomahawk. Amazing!
We had a fantastic experience and would highly Recommend this Staple here in Vegas. Our waiters were fantastic, we will be back and will definitely ask to sit in Josh/Zoltan section!!
Great food and service. Hands down the best steak restaurant I have ever been too.
All we can say is - WOW! Our waiter, Joseph, happened to be from the same area we are, which made for fun conversation! We ordered a Strawberry Sipper and two Blueberry Gin Sours .. YUM. The freshest drinks I’ve had and blended well. The bread was delicious and the crab cake had huge chunks of meat. I ordered the Signature Filet Mignon and made it Oscar style - HIGHLY recommend if you like a bit of spice. The hollandaise sauce was perfect along with the crab meat and asparagus. My husband got the $70 Wagyu and literally just sat his knife on the steak and it cut. Ordered Truffle Mac and Whipped Potatoes .. PERFECT. Especially the whipped potatoes, holy moly! We will definitely return!!
This is my go to restaurant for a reason. Fabulous food, top notch service and great ambiance. I have never been disappointed!
Always my first choice for a celebration or just when I really want a great steak. This was the first time we tried the swinging tomahawk. Amazing!!! Great presentation and cooked to perfection.
Birthday dinner was spectacular
We went here for my husband's birthday. Three of us shared the Tomohawk steak and a few sides. It was way more than enough - we left behind an embarrassing amount of food. The steak was delcious and the presentation fun. The truffle mac and cheese and whipped mashed potatoes were also a table favourite.
At the end of our meal our waiter (who was awesome throughout the night) brought a piece of chocolate cake for my husbands birthday that was easily the size of a cake.
Wagyu on Fire!!!!!
Not up to SW standards. Waits were long, food was cold and it simply won’t fly in Las Vegas with great spots everywhere you look. Reception staff was rude and it felt like we were at IHOP.
Excellent job across the board! Top quality steak house.
Excellent food, service. Difficult to find!!
Love the steaks here!
Amazing aged steak , wonderful experience
Very good steak, and a good steakhouse vibe. My steak was slightly overcooked, but just barely. The starters and sides were decent. The service was professional and prompt, but didn't feel particularly warm. Even for Vegas, I thought the pricing was a little high.
All in all, a good, solid meal.
Food was too salty
Good food, Good service, perfect for any occasions.
A great disappointment.
Having enjoyed many lovely dinners at its previous standalone location on Las Vegas Boulevard, we expected no less at the new Smith & Wollensky location overlooking the Grand Canal at the Venetian. Touted as fine dining, the second floor overlooking the canal was anything but .
Our first clue should have been the dress code: no flip-flops or tank tops allowed. At our request we were seated near a window, however there was no window, it was open to the canal and a cacophony of sounds including shoppers and competing serenading gondoliers. A table change allowed adequate conversation over the omnipresent noise.
But we came for the food. Side dishes were ample and delicious but, oddly, my wife's lamb chops were overdone and my filet, ordered medium rare, was overly seared with a cold purplish center. Crab pieces in the Oscar topping were quite chewy and tasteless. By the time the server stopped by to check on us it was too late for a replacement, a moot point since none was offered. Server did however present a complimentary slice of cheesecake.
Of course Las Vegas isn't San Francisco, where fine dining means something. Here, shorts and ball caps abound and are accepted pretty much everywhere. And attention to meat temperature is often not given great importance, whereas in other locations it is paramount.
But Delmonico's also at the Venetian, Joe's Seafood at Caesar's and Prime and Picasso at the Bellagio somehow manage to get it right. Alas our experience with Smith and Wollensky gave the impression that they are satisfied with mediocrity.
Everything was spectacular. The only thing that was below par was the lobster from the seafood tower. It seemed old and rubbery. But our waiter replaced it, no questions asked. Steaks were fantastic!
Our party of 7 (5 adults plus my two younger children) had a 6:30pm reservation and we were promptly seated upstairs dining area. The service was very attentive and courteous. My wife and I shared the 46 oz Wagyu rib-eye that was served tableside with the charting and melting of beef fat from the hanging steak onto the potatoes below. Very delicious!!
Other sides we ordered: Wollensky salad, split pea soup, lobster macaroni and cheese, Brussel sprout, and buttermilk battered onion rings. We had also shared their gigantic chocolate cake slice for our table. So good and perfect ending to our meal.
Our second visit. Food has been excellent both times.
Sehr gutes Essen und aufmerksamer Service. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmte und wir mussten für unsere Leftovers 2 Doggy-Bags mitnehmen.
What a lovely experience, Hi end style without being snobby, excellent advise from the waiter, stunning food.Highly recommended.
Excellent place for a really good steak! Highly recommend eating here, worth every penny.
Very nice! The meat is extraordinary
Outstanding dinner !!!!
Great service !!!
Great New Years Eve!
Ask for Shepherd for your server!!!!!
S&W is one of best restaurants in Vegas. Great steak, service and atmosphere. Enjoy!
Amazing meal and experience. The restaurant was beautiful with open space. The staff was outstanding and attentive. Our New Years Eve meal was one of the best I have ever had. Oysters were delicious and our filet mignone cooked to perfection and flavorful. In addition the expresso martini after dinner at the bar was the perfect ending to a great meal and experience. Highly recommend dining there while in Las Vegas.
Service and food were awesome.
The server Josh was amazing very knowledge of the food and wine he took real good care of us I would come back next time in Vegas
Was disappointed! Compared to Smith and Wollensky in NYC this was no match. Could you believe a premier steak restaurant was out of dryed aged Porterhouse for 2.
