Daddy daughter date night
The main attraction of this restaurant is the wonderful view from the 20th floor of the Holiday Inn, downtown Raleigh. Raleigh's skyline has been growing taller for about 20 years, so the novelty of this restaurant has been fading. In fact, new taller buildings will soon block this view, so rumor is the restaurant will be moved to the 2nd floor. It was nice having live jazz musicians available (they are quite talented), but I think that was just for Valentine's Day. As for the food, there are better options nearby.
It was amazing and so was the food
The menu, quality of food, and preparation were not what I was expecting at all. Not even close! This is a restaurant with a 20th-floor skyline view that has a menu like a Denny's.
They need to step up their game and menu or shut the place down.
I will say that our server was very pleasant and nice.
Went there for a date the restaurant was so unorganized I sat at the podium for 20 minutes past my reservation time and not one server or employee approached me to help we ended up walking out and going elsewhere
Our waitress was wonderful. Sade and the young man assisting her made a great team..
Our waitress was the best. She understood it was my son's birthday and made it extra special by wishing him a happy birthday and making helpful suggestions.
Food wasn’t seasoned, waited 30 minutes for bread, waited an hour for food and the place wasn’t busy. My bf food wasn’t cooked all the way and the waiter knew it wasn’t. She tried to get us the free meal but only got us 20% never again
Awesome! Better than I expected.
This is a rooftop, indoor style restaurant with nice views of the city skyline. The staff, food and the atmosphere around this place is really, really nice.
The view makes it worth it, but my order was messed up multiple times. The wrong plate of pasta came out, but when they brought out my other pasta, it was the old pasta with meat added to it (nothing like what I had ordered.).
The service was slow and the staff was not very friendly.
The service was excellent. The food came out slow but the ambiance and the view made up for the time of food preparation.
Very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff!
Never had more apathetic service in a fine dining establishment...we got there at our reservation time and waited 10 minutes to be seated because the hostess/waitress was nowhere to be seen. She was attentive to our drinks somewhat but then just left a pitcher of water in the middle of the table. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food (we were one of 3 parties in the restaurant). Food was decent but nowhere near worth the wait or the price.
Very, very slow.
Our group (10 of us) had a great time and our server (I can not remember her name) was excellent! We barely noticed the storm brewing outside, as the atmosphere and timeliness of the food preparation/delivery was excellent.
It is a great place to oversee the city of Raleigh. One side of the restaurant is all windows! The atmosphere inside is nice, but the service was very slow. The food was pretty good and a little higher than average cost. The cocktails were delicious but overpriced. We had a nice time to meet with friends and family over dinner for birthday but it was mainly due to the view of the city. Not too crowded.
Worst experience ever. Great view, but the service is appalling. Our table wasn't ready when we got there, apparently they had given it to someone else. The server spilled beer all over one of us, we had to wait more than an hour for the food, the servers kept bumping into us. When the food was finally ready, they dropped it on the floor, and we had to wait another 10 minutes. We're just ready to get the hell out of there, but it took more than 30 minutes to get the check, and they didn't even apologize or offer to compensate us.
They exceeded my expectations. They accommodated us, treated us well, and went above and beyond.
We made a reservation online for Skye on a Saturday night. We found a very loud, crowded environment. We were assured that there was a special event that regularly didn't happen, which is why the restaurant wasn't up to its regular reputation. We were very disappointed, as we were visiting from out of town. Our waitress went above and beyond to try and give us the best view we could get, and they gave us an appetizer and dessert on the house to try and make up for the disappointment.
We do look forward to visiting again, next time we will call and make sure no special events are happening when we plan to come.
Menu was limited for Valentine’s Day ... The atmosphere was great the view was awesome Great value for your money but the food wasn’t that good.
We were there for valentines dinner the music they were playing was not very romantic. Staff was a little clumsy but overall it was good. We arrived early and were seated right away . We did not feel rushed and it was very relaxing.
This review is specific to my 2019 Valentine's Day visit. The skyline view was the best feature from an ambiance perspective. The food was ok to decent. The hostess was nice. The serve was nice. Overall the service, food, and ambiance of the restaurant was not worth the price. If they had a live band and dancing it would have been a better value.
Way overpriced for the money. The entrees were unimpressionable and the deserts felt like picked up from the dollar store.
Not going back there again, for sure.
For $40 per person the food should have been nothing but wows.
The view and service was great but the food was just ok. And it definitely felt like I was in a hotel restaurant.
Everything was amazing. However, the veggies could’ve been cooked a little longer and seasoned more.
We went for my daughters birthday. Sat for 20 minutes. No one waited on us. Nothing. It was like we were invisible. We left and went next door to a nicer restaurant and was waited on immediately. Save your time and skip this place.
