   We really enjoyed our experience at Sky Bistro for lunch. Our server was very nice and the food good. Our only complaints were... 1 - the restaurant needs to find a method to cool it down on warm sunny days. It was an oven in their. It may be early Spring but it was over 20c outside and super sunny - making the fully windowed facility like a magnifying glass. 2 - they pride themselves on the beef cut fries. They look really good - however, they need to be cooked more so that outside has a really crispy texture. That would make them perfect. Great choice to n add to the gondola experience.

   Very very impressive. Food was absolutely breathtaking and delicious. Hiked up and it was totally worth it

   Went tonight for a meal and unfortunately did not live.up to expectation. My wife ordered the duck, which came out cold along with other parts of the meal. , advised they would cook it again but in reality they reheated it and so it was over done. Not what you expect from such an establishment and considering it was the head chef that made this decision makes it even worse. We certainly won't be visiting again

   Brioche with my starter was solid, seemed like it had been over heated in a microwave. Yes it was replaced with a fresh one. By this time my husband had finished his or it would have been cold. I stated i couldn’t eat chilli but it had chilli in it. This caused bad stomach cramps for the following 12 hours. My main course came on a cold plate so the food was like warm. Yes our server was very attentive and the views were amazing however I found it overpriced for what we had.

   Food and service from our server....AMAZING. Our host who sat us down, different story. I booked this a month ago as tonight was my wife and I 10 wedding anniversary. I surprised my wife on Thursday and flew us across the country to come spend the weekend here in Banff. When I booked, I specifically asked for a window table to make our night that much more special. Our host put us at a table away from the window and when I asked about our reservation, he told me it was based on first come, best dressed. I was shocked. I didn't make a fuss, even though there was a free table there and he told me someone had been waiting an hour and a half for it, I don't think it should have made a difference since I reserved it a month earlier. Again, our server was amazing and so was the food, but for our next visit to Banff, we'll go eat to a different restaurant instead

Due to the high demand for those tables, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis for window seating, even for reservations.    My wife had to wait a long time to get a table and as it was my daughter’s birthday I had called ahead to the restaurant letting them know that it was her birthday but there was no show of celebration. At East Side Mario’s, at least the serving and waiting team come out and sing and bring some dessert.

    It’s always a pleasure to return to Sky Bistro this place never disappoints. The panoramic views alone are worth the trip. A big thanks to Benjamin for being so helpful during the reservation process. Everything went smoothly thanks to his attention and care. We started with the salmon gravlax, which was rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated. For our mains, we shared the duck and bison both were exceptional, cooked to perfection and bursting with bold flavors. Jerome, our server, was fantastic. He was not only knowledgeable but also made some excellent recommendations that really elevated our meal. The entire staff deserves a shout-out every plate was presented with an explanation of the ingredients and finishing touches, which added a thoughtful and personal touch to the experience. If you’re ever in Banff, I highly recommend making time for a meal at Sky Bistro.
