   We had one of the derby day specials, the Kentucky Hot Brown. Really good! Sitting on the patio with the view of Skull Creek can’t be beat!

   Our waitress was very kind but overwhelmed. Volume of customers exceeded the staffs ability to keep up. This impacted everything negatively. Apps were not brought out together. Entrees went cold while waiting for a second drink. Other than atmosphere, was extremely disappointed. Maybe expectations were too high as Dockside was recommended by a few friends. Hope this may improve for future customers.

   The scenery and views are why you go to this restaurant not for the food. We came for sunset and we were not disappointed with our outdoor table. The service was great and fast. We got drinks, appetizers and the seafood platter with shrimp, scallops, oysters and fish. The scallops were the star of the plate quickly followed by the shrimp. The platter was fried, so when I say it was greasy it sounds silly but it wasn't crunchy fried. The fish was rectangle in shape and was the least interesting thing on the plate (and it didn't get finished) - and I like fish! All of the seafood was somewhat bland and seemed to have no real flavor to it. Of all the places we ate while in Hilton Head this was our least favorite. Whomp whomp.

    Wonderful intercoastal views especially at sunset. Tasty food. Served hot. Great server. Big menu.
