   Davon, Randy, Sam, Stephanie and Dawn provided excellent service. I had the fish sandwich; the fish was perfectly cooked. My dinner partner had the flatbread which she said was very tasty. We sat outside and had a wonderful view of harbor.

   We showed up for our reservation and The Skiff Bar said they don’t use any reservation platform so I am not sure why they are listed on here. They don’t take reservations.

   They do not accept open table reservations. We had no table! It’s first come only.

   First off. Apparently the Skiff Bar doesn’t take Open Table reservations, as we were advised by the manager rudely several times. He assured us that our reservation wasn’t accepted and suggested we take a seat wherever we found space. Fine. No worries. When I checked my email and found a confirmation I went to show the manager so he was aware that in fact, open table WAS accepting reservations so he was aware. He was beyond rude. Ok. Excepting the manager who so poorly represents the Marriott brand that they should be embarrassed and concerned, the bartender (who was clearly overworked and overwhelmed) tried to overcome the circumstances. She was great and the food was great, despite a kitchen mixup. Also, a sincere thanks for calling us when we left cards with a check from a celebration. Did they get our number from the Open Table reservation they don’t accept?!

   Nice outdoor dining space with a great view of Newport boat docking in harbor. Great service and care in sanitizing and Covid protocol.
