Great food, great service. Everything you would hope a trendy wine bar/full restaurant would be. Not many live up to expectations like Sixty Vines.
Loved everything! A must go!!!
Where to begin.... We were seated promptly, which is always a plus, but the time it took to even get our first drink was close to 10 minutes. So we ordered our appetizers after finally getting our drinks and this is where things started going further downhill. We ordered 3 appetizers only to have them come out one at a time spaced several minutes apart, generally the idea in the restaurant business is serve the whole table at once, this was not happening here. The table next to us actually had three of the four people eating for at least 5 minutes before the final persons entree was delivered, but back to our appetizers... The meatballs were gummy in texture with a less than remarkable flavor from having been cooked by simmering without having been baked or at least seared first. The oysters are pretty bland and a less than adequate version of oysters Rockefeller. Then came the salt lick... I mean zucchini.... The batter for this tasted like a 50/50 mixture of flour and corn meal and the other half salt. For God's sake there are other seasonings in the world use some. By the time the entrees came out my taste buds we're so burned out from the salt I'm not sure how credible my praise for the rest of the meal could be. The burger was not terrible, still an overpriced version if something I could have made better at home. But at least the pizza was edible, with a perfect chew to the crust, a little heavy on the pesto but a fair value.
The basics is this. Overpriced, underflavored, small portion appetizers, and overpriced everything. Anyone who thinks they have a good selection of wine needs learn the difference having a lot of choices and having good choices. Frankly there isn't a bottle on the menu that isn't 3 times more expensive than it should be when I can walk across the parking lot to the Kroger and pick up a better bottle for less.
Dropped in for a quick shopping break to enjoy lunch and was delighted as always to have such amazing service and food. It’s my all time favorite restaurant to visit when in Plano. The Asian Chicken Chopped salad is out of this world.
It is anfun
Such yummy food!!
Birthday dinner for my wife with family
Outstanding menu, decor, wine lists and on tap. Took a large group here for work and was very pleased with everything. Will definitely be back!
The food was excellent. The roast chicken was the most delicious dish I have had in a long time. We loved the appetizers. The cauliflower and meatballs were wonderful. Service was pleasant and helpful. I can't wait to return.
Had fun for brunch. The breakfast pizza is delicious and the mimosa bar is a great idea! Love the atmosphere!
Great for wine lovers. I've heard good things about the restaurant and brought my wife and kids (19 &16) for a nice evening. The menu is pretty short; food is moderate quality and taste but expensive. My wife and I ordered wine off the menu and was shocked to see $10 per pour. Server oversold the chicken. Probably not return.
We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We had a reservation but showed up a little early. They were happy to seat us right away. Our initial encounter with the waiter was confusing at best. He seemed put out to have to talk to us. He rushed through the wine menu and the ipad selections then walked off. Between the five of us we tried to piece together what he said. When he returned we had to ask him to repeat some things and he helped us navigate the wine menu and the ipad selections. The wine and the food was delicious. The menu had some great items. We really enjoyed our meal, the wine and each other’s company. The inconsistent mood of the waiter was our only complaint.
Date night with my wife, and it was an excellent time.
Great spot in Plano the pizza and pork chop are amazing.
Great place to meet friends. Food was excellent. Great wibe selection.
Service was horrible and food was just average. Would not go back.
Visited Sixty Vines for Sunday Brunch. Pretty darn good. Loved the Froze!!! Food was delish, as well. Service was fantastic. No complaints. Praises only. I'll definitely visit again. Whoop! Whoop!
We visited 60 Vines for my wife's birthday. She has eaten there on previous occasions with friends for lunch. It was my first visit. The food was good, especially the Salumi and Cheese board. Our waiter did a good job explaining the specials and answering questions about the menu. However, he did not stop by our table to check on us at a regular interval. As a result, we ran out of water several times and our appetizers plates were long empty before he came to take our entre' orders.
Overall we had a good experience. While it is still at the top of my wife's list of restaurants, there are others I will choose before returning to 60 Vines.
Great restaurant. Been there for lunch and dinner several times. Always a good experience except for dinner wait staff a little pushy to clear us out. Tried to clear table before we were done eating. Very annoying. But otherwise love the food and wine.
Everything was wonderful. This place is great at accommodating larger parties like our 10.
Our waiter who had just passed his level one sommelier exam was helpful but not at all pushy letting us take a long time to study the wine list. He did make a great dessert pairing for us. Food and drink service was at a relaxed pace and we never felt rushed. Our waiter took time to explain to us all the special wine dinners and drink nights that are available. Lots of food items are big enough to share.
Fabulous food, service and ambience. Great for gathering friends or family.
My first time to dine here. I will definitely return.
My friend birthday
Great place to meet up and have a social gathering for co-workers as a special occasion. Always fun to bring out of town guests who love wine. It is loud, so if you are looking for a quiet place to really talk, this would not be your spot.
Cornell was our waiter and was amazing. Food was incredible as always and perfect wine topped off the meal. What a great place for two long time best friends to have an amazing dinner.
I love this place! It's nice to have a place where you can dress up and meet with other people. The food is good, the wine is to die for, and the service is amazing! My husband told me he wants to live at Sixty Vines. Oh, and I got to choose a free desert for my birthday!
Incredible!!! We will definitely be back.
It was my birthday. I was made to feel so special. I really wanted a piece of whiskey cake from their sister restaurant across the parking lot. And 10 minutes later, I had a warm piece of whiskey cake in front of me, with a birthday candle. The food is great, fantastic atmosphere, and the service is world class.
Outstanding place! This was our first time here and it was as good as described. Our server Ryan was great, made excellent suggestions on wine and menu items. The food was incredible! We'll definitely be back again soon!
I should have looked at the menu online first. A lot of their food just wasn't my style. I saw Italian/pasta and pizza and wines on tap and said I'm in.
Put I got past the food. Found something that I was ok with. And the desert chocolate sampler thing was really good, but had to ask our waiter to explain it after it arrived.
But.... Our waiter lacked. He didn't greet us for about 10 minutes. Spilled water on the table when pouring it, and didn't even attempt to wipe it up. Took our drink order. Came back for our dinner order and and asked dmif we'd be having drinks. Oops. From there on out.... He just wasn't very attentive.
Service was lacking and not on par with previous experiences.
It was our first time and the food and service were fantastic. I highly recommend.
The food was good, but our cheese plate arrived a good 5 minutes before our wine flight. We thought this was rather unusual as we felt the wine should have been presented first. So, attention to detail was faulty
The atmosphere of the whole place was very casual and this may have been the reason for very casual service
My husband and I both agreed that although the food was good it will not be a first choice for us to return to.
It's great food and the staff is very knowledgeable about the wine selection and the food. Only drawback: sound bounces around everywhere in the interior, so it's a bit loud when the dining room is full..I love early dinners there though!
Great dining with friends. Excellent brunch drinks.
Awesome service - Ryan is the BEST! Great food as always. Will keep coming back.
Chris was the best server!!!! Thank you for an amazing brunch!
